It seems to me that Xiaomi releases phones quite frequently. I can't really keep up with them. Wanted to get a new phone to replace my aging LG Stylo. But I often got stuck in my research process. What is the difference between Xiaomi 5X and Redmond 5? Which is the better phone. I think u mentioned X5 has very good rear camera. Back to reading the reviews. Really enjoy all ur reviews all these time Bought a couple of TV boxes based on ur reviews in the past. Still stuck on the action cameras because I could never find the camera in the price u quoted in the video. They should be cheaper over time but not true. Keep up the great work and happy new year.
Purchased this phone and really like it. I get 4g in Texas, but not New York (TMobile). I've already dropped and broken the screen, but am awaiting a replacement screen I ordered a couple days ago.

For a 720p display and 3GB/32GB of memory, 150-180 bucks might seem a little steep to some for late 2017 though. Many phones in that price range offer 4GB/64 or even 6GB/64 nowadays, plus FullHD (plus a faster processor like the Sanpdragon 653, or even 820, or Helio X20/25).
Redskull if you are comfortable will you sell them or let me know if you are selling some phones because when we import phone from china or any other they will cost extra sometimes double because of customs so its hard to buy it will great help for me to get just unbox phone at less price from trusted like you brother

Redskull, what is the model of the rear camera sensor? Xiaomi did a bait and switch with the Redmi 4 note by advertising Sony and giving Omnivision/Samsung. The Samsung ones weren't as good and Omnivision was bad, at least before later updates.
thanks ByMind for replying! Xiaomi phones are all messed up, they have redmi 5, 5a, note 5, note 5a etc can't even make sense of their model numbers and then their specs are different on different sites. most sites don't mention that this has compass!!!!

An IR blaster? That's amazing considering (possibly false) rumors about Televisions made after 2020 not having an IR window and requiring some sort of chip to talk to your remote/phone.
I'd love to know your battery settings. I use a Redmi Note 4 (625) and only get 5 1/2-6hrs of screen on time. Odd call, texts, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, no sync, only call and text notifications, battery saving location settings. Telus network. Are you using Xiaomi battery savings feature?
+Jimmy hey, i never use any battery saving modes and i don't make any changes to the phone. The way it is when i get it, that's how it stays. Keep in mind that i don't use these phones for a long period of time. The more apps are installed the more processes end up running in the background. Aa a quick example... When i first got my S8+ i was able to get about 6.5h SOT. After 6 months of use i can only get about 3h SOT

just had a terrible experience with gearbest and i think i wont be using them again.A phone i ordered went missing and call to singapore post confirmed this.I was told gearbest had to contact them so as to get compensation then refund me but when i message gearbest all i get is a silly automated reply saying the parcel is on its way.No way to call them or speak to a real person.I dont really know what to do now.Is it because its christmas no one working or perhaps unless its over 25 working days they only use automated reply.
how long has it been since the parcel was shipped? it usually takes a month to get the products and the tracking number doesn't really display any information
i called singpost and they told me the item is damaged or contents missing and that they wont post it back to gearbest nor nor to me .I spoke to a manager there.He said gearbest have to contact them and arrange compensation for me.sounds like someone stolen the contents.

it means that it's the rom intended for Chinese use. You can still select english and install nova launcher and customize everything
You can get the phone now with global rom. With multi language

i didn't check on this one... but yes, you are right about the redmi 4
If you still have the phone, there are a few apps like 'Device Info HW' that can tell the model of the camera module.

I bought my redmi 4x based on your video for it. I love my 4100 ma battery. This one looks like another solid value. You can't go wrong with Xiaomi
so the snapdragon 625 one. That is still one of my favorite affordable phones this year
Alex have you tested if the phone supports Quickcharge because I have heard many reports that is does not.
did you see the part where i was showing the charging current? anything over 1000mA is considered fast charging.
So it does have standard Xiaomi fast charging but does not support QuickCharge 3.0 or 2.0 ....
