this is like the best visual/audio of a "full set" video ever
Gabriel Jones it's my favorite one so far. A solid lighting production and a little bit of haze goes a long way
I keep coming back to it. So good
Garrett is such an amazingly warm hearted human
that harmony during nervosa was clutch
I love how the guitar tells a story...it's not just what sounds 'hard', it conveys the emotion of each song. Awesome band.
Whoever did guest vocals during wasteland freaking killed it!
Ben Carey day seeker bud
It is ghost key.
Juan Pardo. He was taking pics and doing march for Silent Planet. Saw them in Dallas.
Juan Pardo, the new vocalist for Rival Choir
its awesome how they let the other bands come in during their set and do guest vocals. I wish more bands would do that its really nice promotion too.
Woah the harmonies the dude from dayseeker and the other guy created in the chorus of nervosa were so sick!
These guys are so fucking good life... was a pleasure to hang out with them as well!
I cant see my bald ass head. I was in the front pretty much the whole show. Great band!!! Great message!
28:20 was epic..!
I just discovered these guys on Spotify a few weeks ago and I'm so glad I did. They are freakin epic man. Very cool how the front man interacts with the crowd and explains the messages behind the tunes. Totally makes it more intimate.
Thanks for uploading in such good quality by the way!
one of the best bands in the underground
Wow! I recently discovered these guys and was in love with their sound. Having watched this and listening to their message (I'm not religious) I am now a fan forever. Crazy thing is I was in Cleveland during this show and didn't know this was happening. Hopefully a stop in Raleigh NC? 🍻
So stoked this was filmed, one of my favorite shows I've been to. Cheers!
Ghost Key & Dayseeker coming up soon as well. Thank you!
Leo Sypniewski need that Dayseeker one!
Eric Tarmey should get uploaded tonight. Just gotta mix the audio and start the upload when I get home from tonight's show
watched Ghost Key earlier, so sick dude haha
Did you film Hail The Sun too?
0:30 The Well
3:48 XX (City Grave)
6:43 Tout Comprendre
7:33 Panic Room
12:38 Wasteland (Vechnost)
16:16 Native Blood
20:32 Understanding Love As Loss
25:19 Tiny Hands (Au Revoir)
2913 Orphan
36:36 Nervosa
40:37 Psychescape
44:29 Depths II
Encore
50:01 Darkstrand (Hibakusha)
One of my favorite bands ever and one of the best shows I've been to. Thank you for this! The quality is amazing
18:15 - that tongue roll, w3w
I listened to that part like three times over making sure that I actually heard what I thought I did lol.
Hilarious
The drummer is UNREALLLLL! Love this band!
Had no clue the singer was/is a therapist! Wow. Amazing shit
Fuck, seeing these guys live was definitely one of the best decisions I've ever made. Amazing.
Thank you for uploading shows dude! I missed this one so I'm glad I'm able to watch it! Hopefully I'll be able to make it to see The Devil Wears Prada!
Eric Sawada hopefully I'll be able to record TDWP as well, should be a sick show for such a small room
Leo Sypniewski when's tdwp going there? And for what show?
Michael Vega they have a headliner here at the end of March
Leo Sypniewski I swear to god if you don't video tape that I will go to this venue and hang myself off the ceiling
Michael Vega we already met our yearly hanging quota so I'll make sure it gets done
this one never gets old!
Great recording. Did you have access to the board mix or did you do a multi-track out and mix it in post? It's nice being able to hear a mix that isn't just from a camera mic.
the sound is so fucking on point, props @Leo Sypniewski
backing vocals are so much better now, saw them last week and he hit every single note, it was an amazing show!
Dude, thanks for posting this! Excellent quality! Been dying to see Understanding Love as Loss--it's perfect.
thanks for filming, so stoked to see these dudes wed in orlando
The guy at 13:35 had me dying 😂. I seriously can’t tell if he’s part of the show or not.
From what little we heard, he sounded pretty good imo
THANK YOU SO MUCH OMG
Haydn Brine you're welcome
so much respect for Garrett...
absolute favorite band ever and the most honest and best people ive heard and i swear he sounds better live he is the best screamer ive ever heard
Amazing quality! Thank you!!!
I hope someday see the feet of Garret in live, cheers from Brazil!
18:13 Absolute Beast
Great video of my dad thanks for sharing
man their set in Houston. the crowd was 10x more crazy
Yea baby! H-Town
Just a amazing band that expands the way of the brain.
Wow,this is pretty good quality! Nice job!
This sounds so good, amazing work
Mitch is so on point here. He carries the band in the instrumentals no doubt.
Damn thomas did spencer's part from psychescape so well
that was kind of awesome when the dude screamed at 13:35 with the bass drop
Preston Loeb I think he got hurt
@@ericferguson774 it was me and yeah i smacked my knee hopping onto the stage, lol
One of my favorite bands ever, but why do so many bands feel compelled to have such ridiculously high singing parts? What's so wrong about a baritone voice? The bassist clearly struggles to hit these notes live, so why not try singing one octave lower? It would fit the music IMO.
Barnabás Nagy agreed.
Well they sort of tried to fix it in the new album.
Barnabás Nagy You should totally check out Bury Tomorrow. They break this mold
Agree. Love Silent Planet and Thomas but couldnt help but cringe at those notes..
Theres a difference between not being ableto hit notes because they are not fitting to your voice or because the lyrics are filled with emotional weight, i actually love the way the bassist misses notes
Amazing videos dude, keep them coming!!
Only complaint is that Mitch's pedalboard wasn't in the shot 😂
Ben Carey there's a video of Mitch giving a rundown of his board, programs, and guitar.
Estanislao Martinez I've seen the video. I just wanna know what effects he uses for each certain part in a song. I'm a geek.
Estanislao Martinez fucc off Tani lmao
Who's that?
Solid content, keep it up!
Alex Fuckin' Camamamarena
captured the guitars and bass perfectly. the drums cut though perfect as well. but i can barely hear the cymbals in most songs. i feel like they weren't mic'd properly or at all
Never i see before (silent planet) good instrument
raw but still awesome
Essa banda e Top muito Top
Im suprised at the amount of old stuff they play
Rico Roman this was from their headlining tour. They let their fans pick the songs! :)
Best band ever !!!
great gang guitarist great
Wow, that speech tho.
AND ILL BRING U LEMONADE
I personally like the obnoxiously high singing. It gives silent planet its own sound. Don't change it lads.
garrett's speech after orphan. brought a tear to my eye. such a beautiful man with a great message.
Art
didn't know that about Panic Room, makes the song way more intense
Did they have a backing track for the second guitar?
Thomas Owens Yes. Mitch explained it to me in Dallas. They run a second guitar track, along with their backing tracks, to have a fuller live sound while only having a single guitar player. Hope this helps!
Somebody please tell me what bands he mentioned after the first song that he said played before them and that he adored a lot?!
Anyone notice the guy with the guitar hero guitar jump in to the crowd during "Wasteland"? lul
This looks like the glass house in va
2:34
i cant believe they didnt play The Well in PR
ive always wondered how you got the cymbals to sound good without overhead mics (well, i cant see any at least). are you just using the bleed from the other mics on the kit? Great mix too by the way :)
Martin Curkovic absolutely correct. I don't gate the tom tracks, I just ring out the harsh frequencies I don't need. The drums are very minimally processed for these videos, mostly compressed.
Poland waits for you, guys!!!!!!! xD
Juan always goes off lol
Did you get hail the sun? pls tell me you did...
iamthepieandmuchmore I did. I just need to make sure the audio is good. Hopefully I'll have all 4 bands posted within the week
20:34
Are you using tracks live to multitrack record this?
Freakyfyed I'm using a program called Capture which is made for recording multi tracks pre-processing while you run sound, then I bring the tracks home and mix them in Pro Tools
Where is this venue at?
Who does he shout out? Tiny rooms? Tiny roos?
What happened to the lineup
Hunter Morgan what do you mean? there was another guitarist, igor efimov, but he left i think already in 2015
Looks like they only have four people
Hunter Morgan yes, that's right. igor left like i said, i think because he didnt see his family much. and spencer keene is only writing, not touring with them as far as i know. they are always playing as a four piece
I've never seen them live. Met garret. But I've only seen music videos
Hunter Morgan ive seen them last year and am seeing them again in a week. im from europe, otherwise i would go see them more often 😄
He is already on the floor so maybe it wasn't the first song
War. Endless war.
the used
the cleans are so hard to listen to... haha sorry..
itsDarrell yeah, should be a bit more mature.
and everyone plays on 5 out of 5
bruh, he spit on the stage
Everyone does it lol
Id much rather him spit on the floor than on me 😂
lol sickest christian band ive ever heard lol
Ever heard of Underoath? lol
Lance Petta I heard underoath, I don't get the hype. Fit for a king is wayyy better.
Reuben Raya UO set the bar for a lot of -core and definitely FFAK. :*
Reuben Raya underoath and FFAK arent really comparable imo. Such a different sound.
I agree, they aren't comparable at all really, UO set the bar for what I think modern metal sounds like. All amazing bands
Man weak crowd
terrible crowd. he's pretty much begging them to take part in the show
Smh
?
Music is really good, but omg his speeches are ridiculous. Talking about bombs and soldiers and nazis and eating disorders and so on.. I guess he's trying to be heartfelt, but sitting here listening to it it just feels like a caricature.
Daniel G I think you are just half listening. Take a trip to some of their music videos and check out the lyrics. His lyrics and speeches he does on TH-cam are worth the listen
If patience and understanding were common beliefs..
they butchered native blood
Dylan MacDonald they added it to their set last minute, probably haven't practiced it as much as the newer songs. Still sounded pretty good to me though
literally didn't hear anything wrong with it at the show
What's wrong with it?
Hold shit idk how I ended up here. But these vocals are embarrassing. Fucking horrible.
1. Metal is about guttural emotion and connection with the audience.
2. Singing over heavy riffs just doesnt sound rught.
3. People who play this type of music are next level musicians. I'm a jazz player and metal is next level
