Just started doing snowglobe tumblers and I wish I had watched your video first. It was the best explanation on doing these I had to empty and restart mine.
Thank you! Yes, the drill is such a pain in the butt. It's called a Hot Fix Tool amzn.to/3K6GpbR . I have a link in the description box too under "other supplies" in case this link doesn't work here.
To my understanding, you can’t really pay for copyrights on something that is copyright protected. I’m assuming the logo is copyright protected as with many other major companies like Disney. Sooo basically use at your own discretion. I only change the colors on official Starbucks cups. I do not recommend slapping a logo on a blank cup. Hope this helps 🤞🏾
When u added the UV resin how did it not go in the hole ? 🧐 since it’s liquid? Cuz I’ve tried the gorilla epoxy glue and I gotta wait until it tickens up .
Like you… I don’t believe people when they say that UV resin won’t go inside the cup 😏. So I always put something between the hole and the UV resin. In this video, I used clear tape. I’ve also used furniture bumpers, hot glue, and glue adhesive dots.
Thank you! Don’t feel bad because I’ve been having problems too. The hot fix tool is too temperamental for me 😂. Sometimes it’s great… then it’s not. 💁🏾♀️ I’m going back to the drill too
to be honest here I would just get the nails removed and do your own they are easy to do I did mine yrs back but stoped. with the snow globe tumbler your video is amazing and helpful.
Thanks love! I’ve definitely been considering it. At this point, I no longer look forward to getting them done… it’s just somewhere to go and get away 😂
@@quatechiacreates tell me about it I have one day every week to my self bd takes kids for thr day love it. Nail stuff get Sally's have number get points and walmart to have them I think
From what I've seen, fine glitter clumps really bad if its used alone so I would not recommend. There may be a way around it but I haven't found one yet.
Coming from someone who is actively dealing with reactions from epoxy resin… I’d say mandatory. I haven’t noticed any major reactions from the UV Resin but it makes me cough and makes my nose run when I’m around it without a mask… so I know it’s doing something to my body. You will see many people work with this stuff without masks. I see it all the time. I can only share my experiences and what works for me. So I suggest gloves, mask, and working in an open ventilated area. Let me know if you have any more questions.
@@quatechiacreates do I need to start over and remove the resin I have on the cup? Do I need to let it cure for 60 seconds and then an additional 30 seconds.
It’s all dependent on your UV resin and strength of the light you’re using. Check your UV resin for the what it requires to cure and check your light to see what the wattage is. I personally cure mine at max timing until it’s not sticky because my light sucks. If you can’t get that to work, remove and start over. Hope this helps
It’s just a part of the solution that works for me. Some use just glue and water. Some use just glycerin and water. The glue is thicker and results in a slower flow while the glycerin creates a faster flow. I find when combined together they create an amazing flow (with water of course). Feel free to play around with them to see what works for you. 😊
Hello! I used distilled water, glycerin and glue. The exact measurements of my mixture is listed at the very beginning of the video (less than 30 seconds in) on the "supplies" screen.
Where do you buy bulk double wall tumblers? I've looked everywhere online and it seems like if you want to by them you can't buy them in bulk you have to buy them individually or only in pairs 🤷♀️ Someone please help, I'm really trying to get started in making my own cups
I don’t really buy them in bulk but Glitzy Kreations currently has some in stock. glitzykreations.com/collections/acrylic-tumbler/products/pre-order-24-oz-double-wall-pre-drilled-tumber?variant=42552809783512 They sell out fast!!
Have you ever had the issue of the glitter turning your solution color? Like the glitter bleeds into the liquid solution. I started with water, glycerin and glue solution and within a week full of shaking it turned my solution color 😢
Yes! It just happens with some glitters and you don’t know until you know. I’ve seen it happens more with some fines and polymer clay pieces but sometimes it turns out really pretty 😍
Are you using the same solution as I used in this video? If so, you’ll have to shake the life out of the tumbler because the glitter is likely not mixed well with the solution.
Whaaat?? Let me go pull up this app right now cuz I’m just bouncing around from place to place and I just keep getting my feelings hurt 😂. Not to mention their designs are trash 🤣🤣
I haven’t personally used the tumblers from Michael’s but I have heard others say they leak sometimes. I’ve also used plain tumblers from third party sellers like One Crafty Momma and Evalaxx.

Love your tutorial, thanks so much!

Awww happy to help!!
I had the same problem with my nails, so I started doing my on nail. After the pandemic I did go back! Your tumbler is beautiful ! U go girl !💜
I stopped, went back, and have stopped again 😭
This tutorial was PERFECT! Every step made sense and I didn’t have to rewind at all… you’re amazing girl 😊
Awwe that’s so sweet of you! Happy to help!! 😊
Hello good morning I will like to thank you for taking the time to show us this video.
Thank you!
Yes! I been looking for a different way to do the holes instead of the drill thank you for the idea!
No problem!
Cute tumbler. TFS
Thank you!
I love this so much. I've been looking for the slow flow mixture. Thank you SO much for posting.
You’re sooo welcome 🙏🏾
New subbie. Great tutorial
Thank you 🙏🏾
Will this solution flow be good in a 16oz glass Can ?
I am loving the tutorial! These snow globe tumblers are gorgeous ❤️
Thank you!! 😊
Awesome tutorial!! Can’t wait to make my first one.
Thank you! Tag me when you do!
Love it!! 😍
Thank you!
You did a good job!
Thank you 😊
I love it! What’s the name of the tool you used to create the holes? I hate using the drill lol

Hi, there! Beautiful tumblers, but I have a question. Does one need to pay for copyrights for using the logo, or can anyone use it?

Nice tutorial do you seal the holographic logo with a sealer?
Thank you! No I didn’t seal mine with anything. I used permanent adhesive vinyl. It lasts a pretty long time with proper care
Hello is there a way to fix a tumbler that leaking from the rim?
If it’s leaking from the rim it has a broken seal. I don’t recommend trying a snow globe on that one. I’d use it for something else

I had to go back and see the video 🤣. I posted a clip for you

Do u put anything on the decal
No I use don’t use anything to seal the decal. I just always use permanent adhesive vinyl.
@@quatechiacreates thank u
I LOVE THIS TUTORIAL!Very easy to follow.. Where do you get your supplies? TIA!
Awe thank you! I have links in my description box for most of the items. Let me know if you want to know about anything that’s not in the box though
I’ve used just glycerin and distilled water but my glitter mix clumps badly. Does the Elmer’s glue help?
The glue helps to slow down the flow. Adding fine glitter or using glitter mixes that include fine glitter is likely the cause of your clumping. 😬
I love this, I tried using my whole melter but it didn’t work like the way yours did & mines is just like yours. 😭I went back to the drill

Doesn’t work for me either 🥲

Where do you purchase the Starbucks cups from?
They’re purchased directly from Starbucks. They don’t have any third party sellers.

Loved the video I will be doing a cup soon. Is the mask mandatory or just a option

Super cute tumbler 🥰 and great video. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much!
When i put my resin on, it bubbles up over the hole, I'm not sure what im doing wrong... does it have to be UV?
Did you let it degas before sealing? I haven’t used regular resin before
is tht a grande or venti??
It’s a venti!
@@quatechiacreates nice tysm
Why do you spray the resin with alcohol before you cure it?
To pop micro bubbles 🙃
Where did you get the tumblers?
From a local Starbucks
I'm new to snowglobe tumblers. I used the uv resin and it comes out sticky on the bottom. What did I do wrong? Please help.
If it’s still sticky it needs to cure longer

I never got a clean hole with the hot fix tool. I ended up having to use the drill.
I’ve had some issues with it too. It often leaves raised edges. Now, I just melt those off with the hot fix tool

Awwe thank you! Durham is a little far for me tho. I’m out in Johnston County 😩

I googled the image and cleaned it up in design space.
Just a suggestion.....You should do a tutorial on how to do the logo. 🤗
Thank you! That sounds like good idea. I think I will!

I too would love to know how you made this holo label. I do have a Cricut, but am unsure how you print(?) this. Thanks so much.
