An article about Dr visits to rural areas brought me here. Also, would be great for the Deaf to have better access to ASL interpreters. 2D video is difficult to get the depth of a 3D language. Hope there is someone managing this technology .

Could this technology create what people saw at the Miami mall?

Duhh. And it will be much worse. People that already died can be showed everywhere.

It's just a different kind of TV screen in a bigger size.... The image can't step out of the box. Nothing's changed much in the Hologram science for the last 10 years... LOL

What you’re looking for is something called a volumetric display, and they do exist but it’s still a technology that is on its infancy too.
Holograms aren’t about making the objects step out of their display, they’re about capturing the exact light waves in 3 dimensions and reproducing them, thus replicating the original object exactly and allowing you to view it from different perspectives.
Volumetric displays, on the other hand, are what you’re talking about. They’re meant to step out the box, that is, display the object in an actual three dimensional space and not a screen.
I’d recommend you check out "Colour volumetric display based on holographic-laser-excited graphics using drawing space separation" by Kumagai et al. as it discusses the state of the art regarding both volumetric displays and what holograms actually are. "Slim-panel holographic display" by Jungkwuen et al. propose an actual holographic display, but they only work from certain angles because they’re not volumetric.

A lot of bla bla. They copied 1 on 1 from Proto in the USA. It is not their idea and it is not 3D or even a Hologram. Believe me.
