- (BR 403 i BR 407) Niedzielna wycieczka niezawodnie podniszczonym TDI'kiem wymknęła się spod kontroli :) Szkoda że tak późno trafiłem pod samo wyjście tunelu - efekt opisywany jako SONIC BOOM jest nieziemski, porównywalny z pokazami lotniczymi. Jeśli czytacie ten blogowaty opis piszcie proszę o miejscach które również warto zobaczyć na szeroko zakrojonej trasie powiedzmy Kolonia - Wrocław +250 km w górę i w dół mapy. Jest szansa na śnieg... Pozdrawiam wszystkich MK z Enkirch.

Mieszkałam przy dworcu Frankfurt an Main West :) blok oddzielała od torów i peronów tylko wąska ulica. Nigdzie się nie wysypiałam tak, jak tam :D brakuje mi tego dźwięku ruszającego ICE, i przelatujących składów HLB Nie ma jak to mieszkanie na dworcu :D
Siedemnaście lat mieszkałem w Polsce w budynku dworcowym na pierwszym piętrze z oknami w stronę peronów. To było coś.
Teraz mieszkam w Niemczech pół kilometra od autostrady :(
Na szczęście pociągi z odległej o pół kilometra w drugą stronę magistrali też słychać.

In Germany only the ICE T (which looks a bit similar to the ICE 3 but isn't featured here) has active tilting. The ICE 3 only tilts when the tracks do. Look it up on Wikipedia if you want to
Na stacji byłem ale okolic nie zwiedziłem bo było mało czasu.Miejscówka koło tunelu i estakada wypasiona na maxa.

At 7:13 we can see the catch-points moving. It appears that the two switch rails move independently, which seems a bit odd. I would expect them to be connected together by a spacer bar.

On the fast through trains, don't use the zoom on the approach, it distorts the train's true speed. Also as the trains pass by, try to pan the camera along a bit more steadily & just a little sooner to get the full effect of passing at high speed.

Mościsko ma ponad 70m. wysokości i prawie półtora kilometra długości. Na obu końcach mostu jest tunel. Most nad rzeką Fulda niedaleko miasteczka Morschen, około 25km. na południe od Kassel. Idąc po mapie autostradą A7 od Kassel w dół, Morschen jest jakieś 6km. w linii prostej na wschód od autostrady.
Jadąc z Kassel na południe, jeżdżasz z A7 w kierunku Melsungen (zjazd 82, droga 253). Przed samym Melsungen skręcasz w prawo na drogę 83 i nią dojedziesz prosto pod ten most. Najlepiej jednak jeszcze przed mostem przejechać w Beiseförth na drugą stronę rzeki i pojechać dalej wzdłuż rzeki drogą lokalną K 131 i z niej tuż przed samym mostem skręcić w prawo na wąską drogę wiodącą stromo pod górę do punktu ewakuacyjnego przy samym tunelu. Dużo miejsca, mało ludzi, cicho, spokój. Można cały boży dzień siedzieć i filmować :-)
Na górze jest tylko 250km/h ale za to jaki widok i te kosmiczne dźwięki.

Warum sind den nochmal 2 Fahrerwagons in dee mitte?
Die Züge werden oft in der Mitte getrennt und fahren dann zu unterschiedlichen Zielbahnhöfen. Der ICE von Berlin wird z.B. in Hamm getrennt und der eine Teil fährt von dort nach Köln der andere nach Düsseldorf. Entgegenkommende Züge aus Köln und Düsseldorf werden dann in Hamm zusammengekoppelt. Fahrgäste müssen jedoch darauf achten im richtigen Teil zu sitzen, sonst kommen sie in der falschen Stadt an.

Only partially. Newer high speed lines are designed with separate tunnels for each track because otherwise, no train may pass the tunnel at the same time a freight train does (in case of accidents). And they really want to be able to run freight trains over their expensive new tracks (did you notice they are based on a concrete body? Makes them much more resistant to the forces from the trains - more expensive to build, cheaper to maintain, and much longer lifespan). Not all the time obviously, only when there are longer separations between the faster trains. Freight trains can do between one half and one third of the speed of the ICEs.
