I have a guess as to why you would fall over while firing certain weapons. After viewing the footage at 0.25 speed, it seems that when you fire the weapon and shift your crosshair slightly over your characters head will cause the bullet to hit your own model. The developer was probably too lazy to code any bullet travel, so he/they tied the "hit reg." to the crosshair hence the lazer beam accuracy. The bullet spark was a bit more apparent in the second clip with what I could assume was the mac-10. Edit: fixed my own grammar somewhat.
It might be strange, but I do feel like those Health and Ammo pickups looks like my models but just without the sphere. However, anyone can really make it but even the colour and neon effect is also applied the same as my game, ‘The Pathogen’.
I've seen Stephanie Sterling review 100s of Steam Greenlight games among other channels like your's, and in all those instances, I don't think I've ever seen a game that had this many unrelated art assets thrown together with so little cohesion. Even Digital Homicide wasn't this careless with picking out art assets.
This looks like it has the general ideas and framework to be a megahit for real. If they can get it together and actually implement the things it needs, it would blow up. You have to remember ALL the free to play kids and all the adults who love kid comic type stuff.
If it was an actual, final product it looks like it would genuinely be fun. Way more so than all the generic stuff the past couple years like that 80's br.
