    In case it helps anyone, this video helped me resolve my issue on a 2006 Audi A6. The symptoms were the fan speed was consant no matter what setting it was on and air conditioning did not work. Also the blower ran for about 20 secons after shutting the car off.
    The following codes were present in VCDS [Address 08 - Auto HVAC]
    01858 - Air Outlet Sensor; Right Center (G348)
    010 - Open or Short to Plus
    00256 - A/C Pressure/Temperature Sensor (G395)
    004 - No Signal/Communication
    01844 - Control Module for Fresh Air Blower (J126)
    004 - No Signal/Communication
    01274 - Air Flow Flap Positioning Motor (V71)
    003 - Mechanical Failure - Intermittent
    I am not sure all were related to the pressure sensor but the issues were resolved when I changed it as shown in this video.

      Thank you for that bit of info. Did your rad fans kick in as soon as the engine was running. Mine is doing the same thing. Temp gauge sits just a quarter way from the bottom the only time it goes half way is when it's doing a regen.

      Could that be a thermostat issue?

    I did this on my 2011 C6, pretty easy. Symptoms I had were no AC and a constantly blowing fan. A quick re charge & all is good and very very cold...

      Hi Graham.. when you say recharge did you just regas your ac? Or did you replace the said pressure sensor switch as shown in the video?

    • @grahamshillingford8229
      @grahamshillingford8229 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I changed the sensor first & then found that the AC gas was low so I had it recharged & it has been working perfectly fine since, especially so during the remarkedly hot summer we've just had in the UK.

      You need a Air Con specialist to safely remove the refrigerant in your system. It requires the correct tools to vacuum it out of the system.

    Hi! I have the a6 c6 also, and I can't find an answer to my problem. The ac blows hot and cold, and switches randomly even when auto is not on. I hope it's just this switch, but I would like to get a second opinion. The refrigerant might have a leak, but the lines are still cool

      Löse nur die Abdeckung wie in 0:43. Auf der rechten Seite direkt am kühler ist der Sensor verbaut. Eine Plastik Abdeckung die mit einer Schraube gesichert ist lösen, danach kommt man einfach mit einer Spitzzange an den Sensor und kann ihn lösen. Translate it 😊

    My old sensor was broken the diafragma was faulty ( i think) losed pressure , but i didnt got faults on VCDS scanner.
    got a new sensor from autodoc RIDEX one , instaled and filled with airco gas , but unfortunate not working the new sensor , hooked on VCDS scanner got the fault : 00256 / A/C pressure/temperature sensor (G395)
    Lower limit exceeded.
    So my question is : did i got a faulty sensor from the AUTODOC?

    • @wawayltd
      @wawayltd  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not sure if it's a sensor that is bad. This car in the video also had a problem with AC. Scanner was showing some trouble with the pressure, but when we replaced the sensor, if I remember it correctly, it also didn't help.

    Replaced it on mine, no difference, no fault codes with vcds, Only 6,6 bar pressure. It kicks not in.
    the 2 fans spin at low speed, and then stops after a while. So maybe the compressor is just shot or the compressor clutch. I am not a AC guru, i do a lot DIY on my C6 3.0TDI but AC is difficult to work on.

    • @wawayltd
      @wawayltd  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not AC guru either, in my experience if anything wrong with AC in majority of cases it was compressors fault..

    Hi. Audi a6 c6 4f5 , 2005, 2.0 tdi is my car and I need some help regarding ac system. Been trying to find the thermal expansion valve but I simply can not find it anywhere on the car. Do you know if it has one at all, and where is it? Ac don't work, I put new compressor, new pressure switch at condenser, new receiver, charged and still don't work. Internet info says there must be a txv at evaporator but I just don't see it. I will appreciate any thoughts. Thanks
