Every time a new Star Wars movie comes out my old "The Emperor Voiced by Mark Hamill's Joker" vid gets quite a few hits. I thought that to commemorate it's longevity I'd post this video for the pleasure of those that have come back to see it again and again over the years.
ZambieSlayah15 Gaming That scene was created long after this one. This is the video that started the whole process of what is currently now, "Star Wars - The Dark Knight Rises".
Alpha Vader007 I stumbled on it a few months ago. I like that his opinion about Tom Hardy being Vader would be a good idea is my opinion as well. 😀 I'm surprised that he hasn't pursued voice acting with more fervor. His voice has a huge range and stands out.
It's astonishing how much better this dialogue is compared to the movie. And it all works perfectly. That might hint at the Joker being a better villain overall but I'm not sure considering the Emperor could've had the same dialogue, just with less laughing. Same with Vader, but he didn't have dialogue even as good as the Emperor's in the first place so there's way more possible ways to change Vader's character for the better. It's also funny to see how incorruptible Luke acts here compared to Episode 8. I liked him in Ep. 8 but it would've been just as believable for him to stay perfect for all his life. He had a lot of experience when it came to confronting the dark side in many different ways.
Gmail com sounded more taunting, more of a psychological attack on Luke than just a few comments saying how his friends are doomed or whatever. With this, Vader was more threatening and trying to take control of the atmosphere of the room instead of barely talking at all. Also it makes sense for the Emperor to be even more giddy and jokey in this scene than originally intended. All around, it's better to have more dialogue to dominate Luke since he's so apprehensive and uncertain in this whole situation. Silence can be effective to build up the tension but as long as the script is good enough, more dialogue is always better
Even without the laughter I find these dialogues to be too jovial for the Emperor. He gloats, yes, but he's still a sovereign, not a clown, and his speaking style is more...calculated.
@@庫倫亞利克 Maybe at this point Sidious was getting too bored at his throne all alone and enjoyed so much to have Luke around to mess with that he got all jokey.
James Sherman You'll have to check out my "Star Wars - The Dark Knight Rises" series as this video spawned a complete movie before, during, and after the events of this video.
Niv 'Mohnd Wow. Okay then. No copyright notice was given to me. So there’s no way to challenge their claim. I’ll have to try on my PC when I get home. It only took them 7 years.
The dialogue used in your video is, i dare say it, better than the actual movie. I'm glad you decided to include the dialogue used in a separate video aswell
Pepper Millers I don't know much either. Unfortunately, to improve Episode 8 Episode 7 will need work too. But because so many elements are vital for a competent story it will be hard do decide what to cut.
None. I muted all the audio from the movie (parts where they speak) and pieced back together the musical soundtrack, room ambiance hum, and sfx. A painstaking process.
Wait...Why so serious is real?! I know that Mark Hamill said it at 2011(?) Comic-Con with a crowd of people, but there is a clean copy from a game? Mark really said it?? I've always thought it was just simply editing the words in. If so, bravo!
Mark Hamill taunting Mark Hamill.

What happened to the one with Vader and The Emperor in the docking bay?

Jamin Schmitt I found it. I like how serious it is.
Jamin Schmitt you should check out the reaction of Tyrone Magnus to your video

"I'll BE IN TOUCH, AAAHAHHAHA"
That voice lined up with the emperors lips better than the actual video game! Great job!
If Mark Hamill had a split personality disorder, this is how I imagine it.

I just cannot watch the original ROTJ without hearing "a world of fun" and "I'll be in touch" anymore.

Even though Mark Hamill’s voice as The Emperor is gone. He’s still in the throne room.
Impressive. Most impressive
I cant wait for part 2

Why so serious?😂😂👌 Best Joker Quote
You are amazingly talented. Thank you very much for the fantastic voice over and this additional explanatory video. Incredible work!! :-)
I’m really digging the squeaky emperor chair
Lovely dude
The other video got taken down. :(
I'm so grateful this is still here, this thing you made is a masterpiece.
EDIT: IT'S BACK! Thank you!! ^^
Let me know if you can see it now. It appears to be a YT glitch as others have experienced the same problem.
@@jaminschmitt Still can't see it. It reads like Disney Enterprises took it down because of copyrights. Maybe upload it mirrored or something?
@@jaminschmitt What have you done?! we want it back immediately!

I want this on VHS and DVD
Good job. That's awesome!
Brilliant
11:34 Well, in Legends, that lines would make sense.. The actual storyline is the worst of the worst trash in Legends though...
I guess it makes sense in cannon as well now, with the new episode 9 trailer and all
in both canons the Emperor finds a way to make Anakin's redemption meaningless

@hunter christensen based
Bane is where it begins... and bane is where it ends
Joker: Kaboom! Blahahahaha! 😂😂
Any plans to make something out of ep.8?
Arkham Knight I don't know. I'm actually considering doing a plain old fan edit to try and improve it's pacing, bad jokes, and aimless direction.
Please do, I came out of the theater thoroughly disappointed.
Jamin Schmitt
Hell yeah. I can maybe give a few tips, but what do I know.
Pepper Millers I don't know much either. Unfortunately, to improve Episode 8 Episode 7 will need work too. But because so many elements are vital for a competent story it will be hard do decide what to cut.
To make those films good, you need an entire team of Adywans. A FULL ON TEAM OF ADYWANS!!!
wow, and I thought the original Emperor was terrifying

I felt that.
Whats the name of the opening song?
It was from an hour long TH-cam compilation of 80's retro music. It will be very hard for me to find it again.
sorry for the necro, but its Robert Miles - Children [Dream Version]
What software was used to remove vocals from Return Of The Jedi?
None. I muted all the audio from the movie (parts where they speak) and pieced back together the musical soundtrack, room ambiance hum, and sfx. A painstaking process.
*Well hello there*

It's impressive... and depressing, that your videos have better lip-sync than DCUO.

It’s edited from, “Don’t look SO SERIOUS! Smiiiile!” combined with “WHY” that is said from a different line of dialogue.
Ohhh So it was an edit. Haha Still, it was very well done. 👍👏 Thanks for the clarification as well as rhe entrtainment!
What is the game that isn't the arkham series??
DCUO or DC Universe Online I believe
