She was sinful just like every other person who matured beyond the age of accountability. See Romans 3:23. There was nothing special about Mary outside of her being chosen to carry the baby time and eternity has come to call Jesus. I know this be of the following:
      Matthew 14:46 - 50
46 ¶ While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.
47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
48 ¶ But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
Do these scriptures tell you she’s the mother of God, or that all who follow Him are as important as His mother and brethren?
GOD HAS NO MOTHER. Proof: John 8:58 (KJV)
Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. So Mary was merely the mortal vessel needed to provide God with a body that we call Jesus.

Romans 3 10-25 “for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God” that includes Mary my fellow believers. Indeed Mary was and is very special and she carried Jesus’s blood but she is a sinner before Christ was crucified. His blood paid for our sins including Mary’s, and her sins were paid for on the cross, not beforehand.
She could not have been perfect before the blood was applied or she would not be in need of His blood.
We are all born into sin because of the fall, it’s in our very nature, the very reason we need a savior. Please turn from this false doctrine. I’ve read the writings of Irenaus, tertullian, Justin martyr, ect ect. They very clearly do not support this false doctrine
Also would like to note: “full of grace does not equal perfect, God has grace on her bc she is “highly favored or as some translations write “found favor” The mere fact that she is full of Gods grace means there is a reason to have grace on her, in example her sinful nature, she has found favor with Him and is full of His grace because of that, not that she was perfect. Catholic think Mary is sinless, even those Romans 3:23 says all have sinned, not most, not some, ALL. Mary even needed a savior. Luke 1:46-47. The Catechism teaches in CCC 966, that Mary was a virgin for her whole life. In Matthew 1:24-25, it says Joesph did not consummate the marriage UNTIL she gave birth to Jesus. Some translations say until she brought forth her firstborn. Jesus had brothers and sisters. Matthew 13:55-57, Mark 6:3-4. In Luke 2:21-24, Mary after Jesus was circumcised the 8th day had to offer a sacrifice of a pair of two turtle doves or two young pigeons because she bore a boy child. In Leviticus 12:1-3,8, it says the child is to be circumcised the 8th day, and you are to offer a sin offering with two young pigeons. It fits perfectly. Repent and trust in Jesus

According to historical accuracies in Galilean Jewish culture, Mary was between 12 and 16 years old when she gave birth to Jesus. It is possible she remained sinless until the time she gave birth. I'd argue it's possible for lots of children to remain sinless until that age. But: Mary does not "have" to have remained sinless her entire life after that, and I do not believe for a second that she did. Otherwise she is on an equal playing field with Jesus Christ and that undermines what Christ was able to achieve that no man can, which is, remain sinless until death at 33. For Catholics to claim that not only was Mary born without original sin but also remained sinless, undermines the point of Christ's necessity. Catholics are literally claiming that without Christ, its still possible for a person to live a sinless life. If that's the case then no Christ is necessary. It all makes so much less sense than making Jesus himself be the one born without original sin via divine intervention. Mary can be saved and elated to the status of the apostles and prophets all while retaining original sin AND being a sinner. So I don't buy, it I'm sorry, Catholics. You're alone on this one. I wouldn't bet my salvation on it and I don't think you guys should either, because there is nothing to be gained from it, and everything to be lost by acting on it.
*"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments."* (Exodus 20:4-6, King James Version)

How can we appreciate Jesus as being perfectly sinless if any human could do so? While I understand God had a special plan for her… He also had a special plan for Abraham, and Moses…. Not to mention if He could have just “made her full of grace”, He could have just made Adam and all of us that way as well from the beginning thus never needing to deal with all this dying on the cross bit.

Adam and Eve were made sinless they just chose to sin. Mary, the new Eve, was created without sin too but she did not sin. In Genesis we also see God put enmity between the women and the serpent ( and her seed and the servants seed). The women is Mary and if there is enmity (from God) between her and Satan then it would make sense she has been preserved from sin as to not serve him.

I don’t know Greek so I won’t pretend to, but the only translations I can find that say “Hail full of grace” in Luke 1:28 are the Catholic translations, and not even all Catholic versions say this. The NRSV Catholic edition says “Greetings favored one!” From what I can see almost all translations say something along the lines of “Greetings favored one”, except for a few Catholic versions. So I’m going to go with the consensus of Greek scholars on this one, and say Gabriel did not say to Mary “Hail full of grace”.

    • @Droppedcroissant1
      @Droppedcroissant1 หลายเดือนก่อน

This is from Catholic Answers “In Luke 1:28, the word that the angel uses is kecharitomene. So it’s not literally “full of grace,” but its root word is the Greek verb “to give grace” (charitoo). The word is the past perfect tense, meaning that the action of giving grace has already occurred. It was not something that was about to happen to her but something that has already been accomplished. The word was also used as a title. The angel did not say, “Hail Mary, you are kecharitomene” but rather, “Hail kecharitomene.”It is thus difficult to translate because it is a unique use of the word. It has been translated by various scholars as “full of grace”, “graced one,” “one who has been made graced,” “highly graced,” and “highly favored.”

guys this is so remarkably contradictory to the Scripture. if mary was sinless, then why didnt she go up and die for my sin?
if mary were given the grace to be without original sin, then Jesus generationally would have never inherited a sinful flesh, making His sacrifice insufficient for sin, since he never could have dealt with sin in the flesh.
”For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.“
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
as you can see, Jesus dealt with the fleshes desires to sin, so therefore he had the temptation just as mary did.
remember that sin is a generation curse, from adam all the way to the last human until Judgement.
Jesus had to be born into a sinful flesh, conceived of a sinful
woman, mary, who was blessed but not given any power except what God gives ALL believers.
”And it happened, as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!” But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”“
    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭11‬:‭27‬-‭28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
by the Word of God, I and every believer are more blessed than the very womb that concieved Jesus.

But the Catholic Mary is exalted like crazy.

Just as the Bible paints the picture of Jesus as the new Adam, new Moses, and new David, the Bible also powerfully paints the picture of Mary as the new Eve, the new Ark of the Covenant, and the new Queen mother. Christians have recognized this since the beginning, and it is throughout the writings of some of the earliest theologians.
Therefore, what Catholics, Orthodox, and many protestants believe about Mary's sinlessness is not unbiblical, but deeply rooted in scripture and history.

No, no, no! Mary was sinner like anyone of us! She was chosen vessel. The Bible doesn’t say a lot of Mary because it’s wasn’t about her. She did her service as the mother of Jesus Christ. She too needed to be saved by her Son that she brought onto the earth. Jesus was the only human that didn’t sin.
