Danish person here! Yeah, the candy we have can be weird. I guess it is primarily an acquired taste xD
Bonbon candy is very special as ALL their sweets are themed after gross things like "Earwax" "Dog farts" "Cow poop" "Pee diapers" and so on.
But the weirdest part is that they were all still tasty. I recall the Sea Gull Poop ones being quite good, but maybe I am more of a fan of the salty candies xD
If you ever want to try them, then get "Lossepladsen" ("The Trash Heap" I think would be a proper translation), as it is a mixed bag of most of the other candies.

As someone who got to try 'candy cigarettes' before they were banned forever (in most places I think in the states) I can say in hindsight it was weird. They were sugar sticks with a dyed red tip.

Hello! Let me tell you a bit of context as a dane! :D
Heksehyl (literally the word for "witch howl/shriek") is not halloween candy, neither is Mågeklatter, we don't celebrate halloween, it's an american celebration!
We actually celebrate Fastelavn, which is during easter, where we dress up as witches, princesses, knights, etc of costumes you'd like, then we beat a barrel with a cat illustration on it (in the old times the barrels did actually have a cat inside it, it's very much been nixed and replaced with candy inside the barrel, but an illustration of a cat on the outside, which though, isn't a requirement nowadays, who ever breaks the barrel open gets crowned king while the one who knocks the last plank off the rope is crowned queen, since it's the hardest part to break the last plank off and we celebrate the queen more than the king, she provides a new years speech every year)
As for the seagull candy, no there's no poop in there, the black streak is liqourice! It's also based on a ride in an amusement park in Denmark called Bonbonland! You literally ride overhead of people in a big seagul, you have to peddle yourself though.
Bonbonland has more "gross" candies, since they based them on rides that are in the park, a lot of the park is "gross" on purpose, but Denmark would never allow for actual fecal matter to be sold as edible, we've got rules set up against that, so no worries! You did not eat poop!
I hope that the context helps you out! Denmark just does have a lot of liqourice in general, but yeah, we don't celebrate halloween c: Hope you feel better knowing you didn't eat seagull poop (if you see this ah, I hope you do, don't want you to think Denmark serves poop for real jhdgh)! They just named it that after the ride in bonbonland haha

Heksehyl is a Danish staple. It means "Firecracker", but literally means "Witchy Squeal", which is why the Penguin mascot has a witch's hat on. (The Penguin is the mascot of the Penguin Candy Sticks. They also have sweet ones.) I was very surprised to see them here. Peebs' reaction is a lot like my own. It's not the best liquorice, honestly.
The gummy brain looks like something the Crypt Keeper keeps in his pantry.
The bonbon candy is from a company that makes weird candy. They have a theme park too, which is somewhere I want to go to, as despite being an American who hasn’t had their candy, I love roller coasters
Salted Licorice is found all over Scandinavian countries fun fact, Norway and Finland brought it TO Denmark! Never had it with anything but the salt, so that one you got is really weird. Sour patch kids were never sour they were always sweeter, Warheads and Toxic Waste were what you got if you wanted something actually sour. Personally I never found either that bad but I think eating what I did was why. Even now I don't find them sour.

i would use hello fresh if it was any of the things they claim, its super expensive, and costs about as much as just going out.

Ha! Mågeklatter! Now that takes me back! Part of a brand called BonBon, their candy is meant to be as gross or as childish as possible. Their mixed bag is called Lossepladsen, "the Junkyard". Pronouncing is "Mak-lahter" was certainly a choice. Because of how complex Danish is, I can't even spell out how it's supposed to be said, since Å is not in most other languages.
Your taste buds are changing peebs. As you get older your ability to taste degrades and flavors seem to weaken. Thats why older people tend to enjoy very strong flavored things like sharp cheeses and smoked fish. It's also the reason why most kids don't like pickles or olives until they get older.
I always loved pickles as a kid.

Well congrats, Peebs, the brain made me legitimately uncomfortable lol.
It looks like someone literally just sliced the top off of some variety of brain and shoved it into a sample bag, blood included.
It looks so fake though. I genuinely don't get how that grosses someone out. If it looked like an actual brain that'd be one thing but it just looks like a molded candy gummy with candy gelatin, if you've ever seen actual brain it has like a 5% likeness.

The seagull poop candy is supposed to be Salmiak Liquorice which is liquorice salted with Ammonium Chloride salt. I’ve heard it tastes like pee from some people but I think it tastes good.

From what I got when I looked up how much sugar you can eat in a day it's the added sugar that is the problem. Because many healthy things like fruits and vegetables contain sugar naturally. Eating things with no added sugar is the way.

I remember the strangest Halloween "candy" (maybe it was actually a drink) was fake blood. It was the sweetest thing I've ever tried at that point. I think it was supposed to be red koolaid or something but whatever it was, I don't think it was that popular as I haven't seen it being sold again.
That stuff sucked because it was too runny.
It's still there i have seen it from time to time and there is Variations and recipes to make homemade versions. But i do remember it tasting like liquid sugar.
I always remember it tasting like cherry, like really really sweet cherry.

I wasn't expecting salmiak (salty licorice) in this video. A pleasant surprise for us Northern Europeans! Though I don't actually like that type of salmiak specifically.
Edit: Those bonbon's I actually like though. It's not actually table salt (NaCl) in the candy, it's salammoniac (salmiac), which is ammonium chloride. The black streak in the candy is probably it as well. (Salmiak is almost always black).
