Melissa, I have just poured myself a large glass of wine to settle down to this episode. I just wanted to tell you that I've thrown out my ruched fuddy duddy mumsy tantinis and invested in high leg bikini bottoms and ruffle embellished bikini top, I've also bought long flowing kaftans and gold layered (cheap) necklaces to wear with the said bikinis. I've also bought an oversized beach bag and gold hoop earrings and I've never felt better about going on holidays next weekend. I am a 54 year old mother of 2 teen-agers and you've changed my "beach" life. Thank you xxx
I love that! I’m so pleased for you that you’re feeling confident to go on holiday now. Getting in a bikini for most of us isn’t something we relish but having all the nice bits and pieces does make a difference. Have a lovely time away. I’m currently in Kalkan Turkey!
Woohoo 🎉. Off to new York and Barbados for the husband's 50th and daughters 18th. X
Good!! Hope you have a wonderful time!!
Hands down my favourite personal stylist on TH-cam! Great video as usual 👍
Wow, thank you so much! I’m not sure what I do to deserve that but the compliment is very lovely of you. X
AGREE!!!!!
Agreed! So detailed and helpful
The green dress is so beautiful, it fits great and the color compliments the cut, sometimes one gets tired of the sea of white beige and stripes in every store, dresses like this immediately catch the eye. 😍
Thank you so much!
I have been glued to this video as usual. I am determined not to become a fogey before my time. Your ideas are so helpful. Thank you Melissa. 🌷🌷
Glad to help! X
I bet you are nowhere near fogey time but I am, lol. Fighting it though.
Fantastic as always! You have no idea how I appreciate all your (and your team's) hard work putting together these videos. Greatly appreciate you all!
Much appreciated! Thank you Patricia x
14:34 this was life changing advice! thank you!
You’re very welcome xx 😘
I'm glad you showed us the Mulberry bags. It's the closest I'm likely to get to one!
Turkey do great fakes!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Hi Melissa. Love your video’s and learned a lot but…can you do more video’s for older women please? I’m almost 70 and brought up with second, third, fourth hand clothes and have no clue wat to wear as an older woman. Thank you from the Netherlands! Love you!
We have done lots of videos featuring older ladies :) please check out all of our body shape master class videos x
Hi Melissa I can not believe every time I watch you I learn something new. That Anine Bing jacket is so gorgeous. I have hear that brand lately a lot. I loved it all but the jumpsuit is gorgeous on you. I love the purses too. Thank you Melissa ❤❤❤❤❤
You are so welcome!
Shame we do not have a lot of these outfits in Australia! I do still get a few ideas from your videos. Please keep producing as I love watching them.
❤ your videos. Fingers crossed that you will be doing a video with your US client (can’t wait to see how you style those amazing bags)!
The twisted shirt hack is genius 👌
Appreciate your hard work putting these videos out very inspiring and encouraging!
I appreciate that! Thank you x
I look forward to Monday mornings knowing I’ll get to watch another one of your fabulous styling videos. You make shopping so much easier!
Pleased to hear it xx
Love the way you twisted that shirt!!❤😊
Thank you!!
Would love to see a video on "everyone can wear white". I had been told to avoid white and black - especially near they face as they are draining. Maybe a masterclass with ladies of different hair/eye/skin tones?
We have a colour course coming out in which that video exists on there. X
Always enjoy your videos! Lots of useful tips as usual, yes mulberry bags- when you see someone with one… 😂
So true!
I enjoyed Jo and Sarah popping in. 😊 Great video, as usual.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video as usual. Very inspirational. Thank you! Keep them coming 😊
Thank you! Will do!
I love all your videos - very thought provoking! So many things I want (not least a couple of those Mulberry bags 🙄). I almost need to watch this video again - love, love that jacket and the shorter blue and white striped shirt ……. just to name 2! Thank you so much for spending the time on the video. X
Thanks for sharing!!
Hi Melissa thanks for another lovely video- I think you could help people to ‘like’ your videos by explaining how to do it when watching on TV- if I watch on my mobile it is super easy to press the ‘like’ button as it shows on the screen when the video is in portrait mode. On the TV though, the videos play in full landscape mode so the block of options with the like/ subscribe icons etc etc don’t show. You have to start the video, press the ‘up’ button on the remote twice and it switches the view so people can see those options :-) hope this helps and supports to keep you and the team producing your helpful content! ❤
That is soooooo helpful, thank you. I’ve never watched in on a tv so I wasn’t aware of this. Thank you for taking the time to write in about this. Xx
I always enjoy seeing your videos. Being an American I would love to see how you would dress someone from here. Even better from the south east. I can be into the 80’s through September and October but I would still like to wear “Fall” clothes.
I would love this as well! It's been around 100 degrees here, and as much as I'd always love to dress as if I'm on "holiday" every day, it's not always practical!
I’m currently on 95-100 degree heat so I’m recording everything I wore to show you in another video.
Thank you for these videos. Love them. Be nice to see a next blog. Thank you ❤
Glad you like them!
Love that cropped poplin striped shirt! off to purchase through your link. Thanks for the very helpful, empowering content.
Glad you like it!
Thanks Melissa and team, another great video. Always so helpful x
Thanks so much for your fabulous videos Melissa..you’re extremely inspiring and give great ideas. I would love if you did a style wardrobe for someone like myself 😊 5ft 3ins like yourself, 50kgs small slim frame, fairly straight frame, slim legs, small bust! People think I would suit anything as I am small and slim but it’s not the case…it can be quite difficult to find clothes that fit nicely. 👌
I love these type of vlogs. Appreciate it greatly ❤
Glad you like them!
Thanks so much for all you do. I always learn something. Love the higher end stuff as well.
The green dress looks absolutely amazing! Now I want one for myself too😍
You should!
OMG this morning got H&M shirt just like this blue stripe .very long on my petite frame. Glad you showed us how to tuck it in . Cost $1.00 Goodwill.
Great styling hints and tips, as usual. Love those Mulberry bags❤
Me too!!!
Thanks again for another useful video. I’m off to see if there is anything left in my size. It was interesting to see the Mulberry bags, how you chose them and would style them, even though they are out of my price range. I hope your client enjoyed her styling session and the bags😊.
Thank you, she did!! She ended up leaving all of the clothes she’d brought with her and we gave them to charity and she went home with nearly two suitcases cases full of everything that made her look and feel fantastic 😊
Thank you Melissa. I love your content. I have learned so much. This video got me thinking. What do you think about doing a video on handbags for body shapes, seasons or lifestyles?
We always add a handbag into our styling but I’ll make more of a point of talking about why I’ve picked a certain bag and how it relates to their shape etc. Thank you for watching x
Thank you, that was a great video, appreciate giving us your time, you have saved me a fortune by teaching us what not to buy, and putting what we do buy together. Looking forward to next week ❤️
Glad I could help
Thanks for this video, Melissa. So helpful and entertaining, as always. I had to laugh today while watching the Canadian coverage of the Paris Olympics. One of our Canadian journalists was interviewing an athlete while wearing the crocheted shirt with the coloured collar you wore in this video! 😆 I did a double take when I saw it. I wonder if he follows you?!?! 😉
Glad you enjoyed it! 😂
Great video as always and love the handbag eye candy as a bag lover xx
I have got a Mulberry handbag, Freya. It was my first designer bag. Thank you for the video!
Good choice!👍
Beautiful pieces Melissa ❤
Another great video….. I’d be lost without you! Xx
Oh thank you!
Love your videos so much Melissa, thankyou❤
So glad!
Some great fashion pieces. The bags were lovely that you chose for your client. X
Thank you! 😊
Your explanation of pant length has been such a game changer! I loved seeing the higher end bags, too! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Absolutely love your videos. I’m always so inspired. I’ve noticed a couple of times you have listed a watch but no comments in the video. I’d stopped wearing one but need to get one. I tend to wear silver more than gold. Any tips on how to choose would be much appreciated 😊
I’ve always got my watch on but I don’t buy expensive on my watches as I use 3 different ones - a brown strap one, a black strap one (both from Lola rose) then I have a gold one which is about 20 years old (can’t remember where it’s from). I’d look at your wardrobe and see what colour strap would compliment your clothes the best. For example, If you wear a brown belt on your jeans all the time then getting a brown watch strap will always pull the outfit together. Hope that helps!!
Wow. Much of this we were wearing in the 70's and 80's. Too bad I didn't save my knitted and crocheted pants suits. Hahaha.😂 Too bad I don't still have the figure for them. 😊
I’m sure you still have a cracking figure!!!
@@mmpersonalstyling Perhaps with about 6 months of disciplined exercise. 🤗
Love Bicester village and my mulberry bags ❤❤
It’s a dangerous place!
Great video, you look fab, my shopping trips are the polar opposite of yours, I generally come home with nothing as nothing fits well or my size isn't in stock. You inspire me to keep trying though 😀. Hope you're having a fab hols x
You’re definitely not alone…that’s why I’m so busy with clients everyday!!
Loved this vlog. Thank you! x
You are so welcome!
Hi. As always I loved everything you showed especially the crochet suit. I also liked the bra you were wearing. Where did you get it from?😘
Check description, all items are linked if they are still available
If this is going to be a luxury video - this is exactly how I want to see it . I was wondering what bag colour goes well with grey ? After watching ur videos I acquired a rattan with tan bag , a black bag with gold hardware, will buy a tan bag eventually . And that’s it -maybe a white one ( small) down the track
Amazing finds - thank you so much x
Thanks for watching!
Blue&white is regularly a classic again.
Thank you, the best content on styling ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You are so welcome!
I appreciate your styling videos for pear shaped ladies!
You are wonderful. What your client has going on is the stuff of dreams. I do have a question. I've been paying attention to what I should be buying, moving forward, but are there any tips on what to get rid of? I'm stuck!
We have lots of videos to help you with your wardrobe, I would suggest watching the video ‘tips and tricks to update your look :-)’
Thank you for this lovely long video ❤
No problem 😊
Your videos are always so extremely helpful and presented in such a straightforward manner. In this video you referenced, pulling open the top of a button-down shirt, a little bit to expose more skin at the top. I tried to do that, but instantly the fabric just falls back down to where it almost looks closed up again. I have tried body tape and that doesn’t work at all. Any suggestions?
Turn the fabric in on itself or, iron it flat open. X
Beautiful outfits! ❤❤❤
Thank you so much 😀
Can you do a how to style video on black satin cargo trousers please
I’m sorry but I don’t own any. We can do a 1:1 styling session for you if that helps? Details can be found at www.mmpersonalstyling.co.uk
I had a pair in the late 80s and I wore them with a silky black vest top and gold strappy sandals. I thought i looked the business ! ( I'm a woman, now 63yrs )
I love the way you twisted the shirt at H&M. I'm trying now with one of my husband's striped shirts 😂
Love it!!
Love this! You always find stylish essentials

I love these videos! Can you share what size are the white jeans that you’re wearing?
They're a UK size 10
STUNNING.🎉
I love your program. Can you talk about how these looks will go with darker skin?
I’ll try but we did a video a few weeks ago with 3 ladies with darker skin and talked a lot about colour in that one so you might find that useful. X
I love the way you style a pretty dress with Birkenstock type sandals to avoid the look being too 'pretty pretty.' I am, however, in my 70s, and this type of sandal just looks orthopaedic on me! {I do wear arch support insoles in my trainers for Pilates and twice weekly tennis, but you can't see them!} Nearest I can get away with in a chunky sandal is Penelope Chilvers Buttercup in tan. Hope you'd approve.
Love your videos. Please do one for older ladies who still love fashionable clothes, and through careful diet and exercise are still a size 10
I do know what you mean about the Birkenstock. Perhaps change it up for a Hemes style of sandal (they’re leather sandals but. It as bulky and they show more of the foot off so tend to be more flattering).
We have a lovely nearly 70 year old lady who has just volunteered so we’re working on getting her in for styling on the channel x
@@mmpersonalstyling Wish I'd got to you first!
@@mmpersonalstyling Really looking forward to that video. Fine dividing line between 'frumpy' and 'mutton dressed as lamb!
Thanks for the advice. I bought R and B Boston sandals in camel, and they go with everything.
Love love love your videos!!!
The Mulberry bag lady(!) is a lucky girl. I hope she lets you film her. We want to see her considering that she's flown in especially to see you.
Clients stay anonymous I’m afraid but I do know she’s reading the comments!!!
Always appreciate your styling insights. Trying to learn how to dress for my body shape in a more flattering way. Love all that you do for us everyday women. ❤🎉
You are so welcome!
Love your stying and advice ❤
Hi been watching your videos to try and upgrade my style after a car accident. I ve watched all your videos but when I try to implement your tips that look fantastic on others it looks awful on me. PLEASE Can you do a masterclass for 60+ year olds, 5ft tall ( on a good day ) big bust, size 16/18 with a huge overhanging apron stomach, big bum and ‘ kankles’. Thank you for the videos and looking forward to many more ❤
Unfortunately I can only film with the people who volunteer and if someone like that volunteers then yes, absolutely I’ll video them. For such specific requirements you’re better booking a 1:1 session with me or one of my stylists. Details for this can be found at www.mmpersonalstyling.co.uk
Thanks for another very interesting video, Melissa. I've just bought a beautiful black bag with gold chain but am unsure how to style it. What colours would you put it with? ❤
I’ve just brought a few like that myself so I’ll be showing you in the channel and I’ve already started showing a few pictures on Instagram.
@mmpersonalstyling thanks so much, Melissa. I loved the black bag with the herringbone bone jacket and white jeans that you showed. I have a houndstooth one so think I'll also try it with that xx
Ever since I started following you I get so much more out of the clothes I buy. No more buying 3 colors of the same item because I can’t decide. I have a question. What do you recommend to wear to a funeral I’m a plus size apple shape and I live in a warm climate 5 ft 5 in. Size 18. It’s so hard to find something appropriate for warm weather
I would go for a structured linen dress. The structure will make the linen fabric dressier but the fabric itself is breathable and cooler. Look at me+Em for some inspiration as they do these types of dresses really well.
Hi. That is very helpful thanks 😊
Glad it was helpful!
Great video Melissa. I am a UK 12 and 5’3. Bust 39” . Long body, shorter legs. What size should I go for in the Anine Bing blazer. I like a bit oversized but not so it drowns my petite size. Love this blazer!
I’d go for a size medium in the blazer based on your proportions. X
Love suede!
I am grateful❤❤❤❤
For a " barrel" menopausal stomach can U wear the elastic/draw tie shorts ( Aus16) or should I stick to a flat front?
Loving your videos❤️
Yes you can wear them BUT remember ITS ALL ABOUT THE TOP YOU PAIR THEM WITH - the wrong style of top will make shorts look worse. It’s never about one piece, you’ve always got to look at the outfit as a whole.
I cannot find the first jacket with the hood. I love this video!!!!
If it’s not on the board it means it had either sold out or wasn’t available online for us to link. X
Hi Melissa Can you please tell where to buy the lovely fob necklace you wore at the end of the video The square shape was so ornate Thank you
Everything we show in the video is always linked, just head to the description box where you’ll find both the uk and the US links. Or, here’s the direct link rstyle.me/+qyWK4X3pMUNTK3tVfo_Nww
@@mmpersonalstyling Thank you Sorry I missed that link . Love it
May I ask which size you picked for the Anine Bing jacket? How is the fit? 🙏😘
size S x We like to dress the blazers oversized
I loved learning about this Brand mulberry…and seeing the different bags … I didn’t know about this brand … very helpful … I love your videos !!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Another excellent video as always. I know I’m on my own here or at least in the minority but I’m not a fan of pockets on most dresses as I feel that they can stick out and make me look wider than I am maybe I’m just a funny shape. 😂
You just need to broaden your shoulders then the pockets will work. X
I really like the me and em shirt. Did you say you got it in a 10 or did I imagine that? I’m an 8 and nervous that it will feel too big. There are a few size 6 at the moment, too small? Size 8 is sold out.
Loved the video.
I’m a uk 8 but went for the 10 as that gives me the freedom to wear it open or tucked in. When you go too tight you lose that ability. It is gorgeous! X
@@mmpersonalstyling thank you! That’s a good point.
Awesome video
Thanks!
What size are you in the green dress . 10 and 12 is my size what do you recommend . I am new and the store where they sell the green dress I had never buy there .I live in Los Angeles CA .i wonder their clothes how it fits . Thanks for the tips love how you style people .
I am wearing a uk 8, The dresses are true to size :) x
How did you "tie" the striped shirt with the beige shorts?
I twisted the ends and pushed them in the waistband x
I recently discovered ME +EM thanks to you .
My only issues is trying to choose sizes .
Does it come generous or large ? I am size 10 nearly in all brands . Sometimes size 8 on the top (with Reiss for instance or jigsaw ) can you help with this brand ? Thank you !!xxx
I’d go for a size 10 in their dresses as I find the bust area is quite tight in their size 8’s but I find their trousers come up generously and this is where I buy a size 8 (which is unusual for me as I’m usually a size 10 on the bottom half and an 8 on top!).
@@mmpersonalstyling thank you ! Very kind .
This is very useful!!! I think I have found (with your help) a new favourite brand ! X
Hi Melissa what size Annie Bing black and white jacket were you wearing?
small :-)
What size did you get on the Anine Bing Jacket??
small :-)
Thank you so much 👏👏👏👏
You're welcome 😊
🙂
🤩😍🥰
what is the name of the first store??
Zara...
Hi Melissa , I like watching your videos but I cannot bring myself to spend a lot of money on one item. I spend a lot of time looking for things I like in sales and very rarely pay full price.
My two daughters despair of me and cannot believe that I'm still buying things even though I have far too many items.
I think it's my upbringing and my late husband was a bargain person even though we both had good careers.
How can I stop shopping? I'm 75 and don't get many occasions to go out.
It sounds to me like your current method of shopping cheap and high volume isn’t working for you so I’d start by clearing everything out that you don’t wear. Then, assess what’s left and if there’s missing items try building those up slowly with things you love.
@@mmpersonalstyling thank you. I don't think I shop cheap cheap - Mint Velvet, Crew, M&s etc but always in their sales.
😀

💕🇸🇪
Struggled watching bare feet on dirty changing room floor, lovely items though
Tell me about it…the things I do for my job 🤣🤣🤣
Hard pass. I cannot support fast fashion brands like Zara. We have to stop patronizing business models like these.
Agreed. I know it’s hard to please all but Zara are not only fast fashion, have the worst staff and changing rooms but they also mocked the corpses of children out of the genocide In g a z a. Their chairman also hosted the convicted terrorist Ben Gvir in his home in the lead up to the elections. If you’re hosting Ukrainian families within your home, please apply the same principle to other innocents by at least not openly supporting this brand. Their corpse campaign was distasteful. Even though they later served the worst apology statement in history it was only after a lot of pressure. I no longer support this brand for these reasons. Prior to all this I was buying from there each week, spending hundreds. This isn’t a preachy statement and I fully support all your work. I just want to highlight how this brand is perceived by some of us.
It often says in the title the shops and brands I’m showing so you’re best just to not watch those videos if they include brands you don’t approve of. X
For some of us, fast fashion is all we can afford and access. There are lots of other channels you can support.
