On a Moen brand faucet you can replace the faucet spout, the handles...even the handle 'guts', right from the top...no need to replace the manifold. Just upgraded my 20+yr old 'plastic knob' style with Caldwell style (same style as yours). No cutting holes, no replacing manifold. Seemed like a lot of unnecessary work. 🤷🏻♂️ ...or was there a leak under the tub?
@The Conservative Plumber im saying that you're lucky you were able to get your crimp tool in there. If that pipe was pex A or Uponor then it would have been easier to just expand it and put it in
yeah it could be better.. you gotta debate for going to your van for getting set up for pex A.. VS. you have copper ring and pex crimping tool in front of you.
@Semo can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. The damn expansion tool comes in a box that couldn't weight more than 10 lbs so how difficult is it really to pick that from your truck vs picking the crimp tool. Either way you're going to your truck to get something
Thank you for the step-by-step video.
I might as well buy a new tub,i don’t want to cut it to change the faucet & knobs
Simple solution. Cut the sheetrock instead. This is about the goofiest thing to do.

You have to destroy the tub to gain access to the faucet?
What demo on the door opening
What is that hole cover called?
Access panel
Where do you get the access panel?
@@sotouno3906home depot plumbing aisle
It's the "I'm too lazy to go through the wall" panel. 😂
Access panel. And ruins the tub. Cant sell a house like that.
Because it's easier to repair the fiberglass tub than it is the sheetrock on the other side of the wall.
No other way to stop the leak but a complete replacement? Ffs
Great job !
Thank you!
Nice.
An access panel on a tub is not acceptable. But perhaps its the only way to get access for replacing
Many gratuitous knipex shots!
This is exactly why pex A would be better
Your comment makes no sense
