How do you like the 35mm Summicron KOB silver compared to 35mm Summilux pre-asph titanium? Is rendering very similar from f/2 and smaller? And what about the minimum focus 70cm vs 90cm? Best, Mads

Compared to the 35mm Summilux pre-asph titanium, the 35mm Summicron KOB Silver is quite stable even at f2.8 and below. The minimum focus of 70cm can be advantageous even for close-up portraits, but its disadvantage and the uniqueness of f2.8 or less make the 35mm Summilux pre-asph attractive. And even at f5.6 or higher, the 35mm Summilux pre-ASPH is more transparent. As a result, when I want stable results, I prefer the 35mm Summicron KOB or 35mm Summilux asph, and when I want my own unique results, I always take the 35mm Summilux pre-asph titanium ;D

@@driftingsun thank you so much. I currently shoot with the 35mm Summilux pre-asph titanium and 35mm Summicron v3. I was consider adding the 35mm Summicron KOB silver, but maybe it’s not necessary? It looks so nice the silver KOB though but $$$. Advice? 😊

@@madspallesen156 Judging by your reply, it seems like it's still good enough for your tastes. Besides, 35mm summicron BOK silver has become too expensive for rough use haha

@@driftingsun yeah prices are a bit crazy now. 😊 Another one I have heard good about (although probably more modern) is the 35mm 2.5 Summarit, have you tried that one?

@@madspallesen156 I've never used that. Except for the 35mm summilux asph, most of the 35mm lenses I have are old lenses. If you want a modern, clean look, how about the 35mm summicron asph? It was accurate and had high contrast, so I think it would be worth more than summarit.
