Recoil could not be measured because the Mantis X is terrible, the shield plus recoiled a little more than the compact, likely due to barrel length, weight, and grip texture. This was a pretty negligible amount though.
The Shield was definitely the softest shooter of the micro 9s I’ve shot (Hellcat, G43x, P365) but when a mag completes a grip it annoys me and often times I find it a pinch point so I moved on from the Shield. Smallest gun I’ll carry now is the P30SK with flush grip. Don’t use the pinky mags on it, either.
The mp2.0 compact has a piece of metal in the front of the frame ,( it's in the "dimple "under the words m&p) which is the reason it shoots softer than the shield

Have a 2.0 compact and a plus.

Completely agree man, my p30sk is going to be here tomorrow 😂
