I write it all out, then use a typerwriter to type it in permanently. Have also laminate sheets so can use as dry erase board. Great job, fabulous ideas.💝👍😁
I found this video extra helpful. I deal with chronic illness and have struggled with time management due to symptom fluctuations. Your explanation of time blocking is really helping me. I've modified the system a bit for myself. But this was the first explanation that really made sense to me. Thanks!
Stephanie thank you so much for doing this! I have been feeling so disorganized and scattered in my daily schedule. This video is SO helpful! I recently bought a big Happy Planner thinking that would help to have more space to create a schedule but I didn’t know what to do until I saw this. You are a life saver! 😊👍❤️
This video came at the right time! I was just about to sit down and figure out what I could do or change to be more productive! I’m thinking of trying the block schedule and setting up specific blocks for different seasons in my life because my days are different when I’m teaching and when I’m on summer break.
As a retired teacher I can vouch for how important our schedules/lesson plans are. As a resource room teacher I generally hand with in each half hour for different groups to schedule and rotate. I was totally dependent on a timer. But it was really great training for life
I used to use a block schedule but have gotten away from it. This was a great reminder of the usefulness and the resulting productivity of such a system. Back to the drawing board I go!
I have watched this video multiple times - to process. You did a great job walking through both the process and the why behind it. When I have tried making my "ideal" week I started with nonnegotiable (morning routine, food, shower, work out etc) and then put in the day specific things (laundry, food shopping, meal prep, etc.) it's the time that I had left over and nothing "scheduled" that overwhelmed me. Evidently I always find something to fill up those blocks of time.... but makes me wonder if I could be using that time more productively/ in a more structured way..
Kudos for your video! Too many other TH-camrs make Time Blocking so complicated. It always leaves me feeling overwhelmed and not wanting to try it, but you have really simplified time blocking in a way that I have never seen. Thank you so much!
Love your productivity tips! I'm essentially a productivity/functional planner first and foremost. But I also have a strong creative streak that I'm only now getting back in touch with after putting my creativity aside for many years because life got in the way. So I struggled at first to find a happy medium to not do only one type of planning or the other and have been able to find my decorative planner style. I'm not fully there yet but getting there so your videos have helped me since I found your channel earlier this year. So thanks for your love of sharing & teaching!
Glad to hear you are finding your planning happy place and getting creative. It took me awhile to start decorating my planner too but I can’t imagine planning without some creativeness thrown in! 😁
THIS HAS GIVEN ME LIFE!!! I just looked at ordering vertical times sheets to be more productive. I had been using the dashboard layout and I just felt it was all over the place. I found myself forgetting to do things because it was not as structured as I needed it to be. Loving the morning routine. (Thank you for sharing again). I feel with this video (will watch a couple more times) I will finally have planner peace. I will be ordering your vertical sheet this week! You are amazing!!!! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!
Thank you for sharing this!!! It’s has given me my spark back to keep pressing my way through life and the ways that can throw me completely off my path.
I'll echo my thank you with all the others that have come before me. There are always many directions in seeking the solutions for our problem, yet out of all the one's that I have found, your system for developing a routine works perfectly with my information processing abilities. Thank you again, you are one of the rare teachers that open the doors of understanding for so many others.
Thanks, Stephanie for this very useful video. I suck at time blocking and your video has motivated me to try doing it again. Thank you for all the hard work you put into consistently putting out good content for us planner girls. Hugs, Rosalie
The best routine building vedio I have ever seen. Thanks a lot. Stay safe dear. This is the first video of u that I have seen. N I'm going to watch more videos of u. U deserve more.
@@squairdplans u deserve more subscribers, more likes, n more good things in life. As I'm a lazy, procrastinator n trying to get on track. For me ur vedios r helping me a lot. Once again thank u so much. Stay blessed always.☺️
Very clear and valuable for me. One of my challenges is we have a cabin and we don’t have set schedules for home and cabin. Both require tasks. I’m a retired teacher and spent my career with tight scheduled lesson plans😊
It would be difficult to fit a full schedule into a dashboard layout. I would recommend building it with some blank pages so you can have the room to customize things.
Hi! I’m new to your channel and love your videos!! Do you remember which sticker book you used to create the partial routine spread? Would you know if it’s still available or one similar? TIA
All the stickerbooks with links can be found in the description. If you are asking about the morning routine shown, many of the stickers are from the Floral Memories (amzn.to/2V4jPHJ) and Productivity Sticker Books (amzn.to/2BIWRhA)

It is a hourly vertical printable from my Etsy shop (www.etsy.com/shop/squairdplans/?search_query=hourly) that used first then remade pretty on old vertical happy planner. I added the timeslots on the latter with stickers from the happy planner productivity sticker book. Hope that answers your question.

I wonder how you guys actually get the time to do the work if you spend so much time making your planner pretty! I keep watching your videos to waste time, but I am seriously wondering ...
Well, with me, planning is part of the job. 😉 But if you treat it more like a hobby or creative outlet, it takes up about the standard amount of time any crafting project would.

Makes perfect sense to have different schedules, especially with a teacher's schedule. Happy planning!

This was so very helpful on how to draft things put. I use a daily duo planner. Would these work as well on those?
I think you could do an ideal daily schedule on a daily duo page. That would work well!
For the last Schedule/Plan, were those stickers you used for the times in the columns for each day?
Yes, they are! they are in the Happy Planner Productivity (Brights) Sticker Book: amzn.to/2UXyZy9

Which one do you mean? The weekly schedule uses an expired Happy Planner vertical layout. All the others are DIY inserts I created.
