Let's be real. If dean put even a fraction of the effort he put for Rory into his marriage, dean & lindsey would've been married forever. Lindsey could sense something wasn't right, because dean's heart wasn't 100% in it, and he was still thinking about Rory. And dean was the one who proposed, so that's honestly all on him. But I personally blame Rory, because she really damaged dean and messed with his head. She was borderline abusive in season 3 lol.
Yeah Rory was definitely emotionally abusive in the way that she would ignore his feelings and gaslight him, making him feel crazy and rejected. I think everyone in the picture was flawed in their own way but it's an unfortunate situation nonetheless. It still made for decent entertainment though so kudos to the writers lol. It's my favorite show!

That was always Lindsey's dream and there's nothing wrong with it. She was a great wife and her family was very supportive towards her and dean. It's dean's fault for proposing in the first place. It's the man's job to decide whether or not to propose. It's the woman's job to decide whether to accept or not. Not doubt if he's ready.
Based off the Donna Reed episode, Lindsay was everything Dean wanted. She loved him, she was kind to him, she learned to cook for him, she was a good wife for him. But she still wasn’t enough, and he still went back to Rory.

She was blinded by her love for Dean but that was destined for failure. Dean only married her because he was heart broken about Rory and Jess and he was trying to move on.

She just wanted Dean to stop talking to Rory but they had a bond that he had to break. And 90% of the world we never keep our first love we will always remember them but it's very rare that people are still with they first love. Every now and then you may think about it. Dean was wrong not listen to Rory when she told him why was he marrying her. He wanted to get over her and move on with somebody who really loved him and wanted to be with him. But if Luke would have told him what he said when he was drunk I don't think Dean would have married Lindsey. Dean was still in love with Rory that's the only part that I feel sad about she didn't love him like he loved her.
