Amazing video i have the exact same issue, very annoying having to always reach back. I have a 2010 that recently needed $1200 in repairs, after that ive been slowly fixing the minor issues and this was one of them, not having to remove the whole door assembly was a relief, thanks for the post!
I’m glad I helped you to save time and money! Did you find the part on eBay? I was surprised that people were removing the whole door assembly and doing unnecessary things in other TH-cam videos. I’m glad to have provided a much easier fix for my viewers.
That's a pretty good deal! It sure beats the $800 Toyota would charge for parts and labor. Junk yards are kinda like gold mines for car parts if you think about it. How did you find my video?
Then try to follow my instructions and disconnect and plug it back in to see if it fixes it. Otherwise you have to replace it like me. You can find one on ebay fro $20-$40. It's a farily cheap fix.
It’s from water. Mine happened in Phoenix Arizona when I left my Prius at a friend’s brothers house with the windows cracked and it rained……. th-cam.com/video/roywdKE9Occ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1eEgR84cKrgn4gz0
Makes a lot of sense. I live in Hawaii where it rains a lot. I accidentally left my windows down a couple of times overnight and I drove it around a lot in rain with my driver side window down because I like to rest my arm on the window/door. The water most definitely got inside my master switch and probably short circuited it. Super easy fix for $30-$40 and about 10 minutes time though.

Great video for DIY!
Thanks! There’s more DIY stuff coming soon! Also, a bunch of Tesla stuff coming after that 😉
Awesome video!
Thank you! I'm glad it helped! @lisavaughanheady3064
I’m gonna need to do this. Left my window down while it was raining and now the back passenger window isn’t rolling up
That is the most common way for this part to malfunction. Too much water inside of it will cause it to break. What kind of car do you have?
How do you find factory oem part?
www.ebay.com/
Wow, they wanted $800?! crazyness
Yeah about $650 for the brand new OEM part and about $150 for labor. For simple jobs like this, it’s almost always better to go DIY mode.
Any suggestions
Did you replace the master window switch following my instructions in this video yet?
Brother I have problem with passenger window doesnt roll up with master switch.

I can open it but can't go up
That's the same problem I had. Did you replace the master window switch yet?
