SOTY for me because the story, visuals, composition, musicianship all coming together is so rare especially in this TikTok single generation. And no disrespect to bands like Lorna Shore but this is how you take that deathcore sound but perfect it... especially considering everything here was done by 3 young musicians.
@@DrewFortune97 Shadow of intent is basically *the* inspiration for this record, if you ever decide to go back to them, and want their most mature record, go for elegy, I reckon it'll be more balanced to your ears, and if you want fun but heavy deathcorre, go reclaimer.
Hell yeah, dude. This is peak deathcore imo. Not even halfway through the year, and I doubt it'll be topped at my SofY. Unless Disembodied and Synestia top it themselves.
big call! there is no denying that the pain remains trillogy from Lorna is a ballad and his one of the goats of the genre. This is way up there with them!
It's pretty amusing to me that Blake, the guy who wrote everything for DT, and cowrote this also did the production side of things all on his own, and literally sounds better than the majority, even a big majority maybe, of deathcore albums.
Yeah like the Knocked Loose singles? Oh my bad it's KL so we don't get a f about the mix. That's hilarious how this is the only argument for the deathcore haters.
@@TheAlex4019 I can't tell if this means you like the new KL mix or not, but I just listened to one of the singles, and it's pretty awful for me. Treble isn't loud, basically absent in some areas, yet VERY peaky in other treble areas which just hurts, and the cymbal treble is super dry, like it lasts a milisecond. WARNING: Nerdy, kind of obsessive bass rant incoming: KL were using bass drops in it, but at like 50-60hz they just cut the bass drop to nothing. It's like getting bass blue balls. With my monitors + subwoofer I can shake the house with bass drops and it's a lovely feeling, I guess they aren't into actual impact of bass drops tho, and for some weird reason alpha wolf also did this with their most recent record. Disembodied tyrant and synestia used proper ones tho. My fav bass drop of all time is probably the one used by Acrania on the EP tyrannical hierarchy, vol. 1, cause it's not too slow, and it's perfectly balanced.
It DOES sounds better than everything, this is PERFECTLY mixed and well done I wish I could SUCK the dick outta of this EP there is no other way to say it
it's been awhile since i've watched one of your videos, but i remember 5 years ago stumbling on your reaction of thy art is murder's 'holy war' and how unsure you were. seeing you now with 100k+ subs and reacting to crazy deathcore from a band from my home state is crazy! glad to see you enjoying the music to this day :)
We should all be very proud that these young musicians have so much talent and know how to show it! For me this is the EP that I would listen to from beginning to end without any waste. A hug from Argentina
i will admit i love this, but the lyric structure in parts of death empress just dont feel natrural. still kicks ass as a song, some parts i question as they just dont sound "natural" (yes big word of "natural" in deathcore genre)
Even if you take the interpolation of Vivaldi's composition, this is still way better written than Lorna Shore's music, and I like LS. These two bands are just on another level of songwritting and heaviness.
Thoughts on this track?
Masterpiece. For the whole EP and easily EPOTY for me!
I’m so warm my brain is melting *insert SpongeBob high pitched noises*
Absolutely amazing 🔥
That whole The Poetic Edda album is great..I especially like Death Empress

100% agree, this will very likely be my Deathcore SOTY🫡
Deathcore getting me this excited is extremely rare🙏🏻

This whole EP is so good i can't get over it. One of the only Deathcore Band rn doing technicality AND heavy as balls breakdowns right imo!
We’ve entered the age of neoclassical deathcore and it can stay for good
Disembodied and Synestia are so good they made you like deathcore
Too sick. Love what they've done with this EP and how everything ties together. One of the best EPs Ive heard in a while.
This is proof that Vivaldi was metal before it existed.
Every classical music actually sounds so metal, especially Beethoven and Mozart
Dear lord this was fcking insane, what an absolute masterpiece.

that intro reminds me to the song in the menu from darksouls III

Vivaldi would have loved this band.
SICK
Disembodied Vivaldi goes hard
You need to check out psycho frame. Straitjacket afterbirth, raining glass or any song really.
Theyre bringing back the core in death core
Such an underrated band
You NEED to listen to Death Empress!!!!
This is built different, it gets you pregnant!
Jajajaja
I would love to here this in a Final boss fight

You gonna react to the first track?
Did on stream man!

Just came from your Pain Remains reaction. How did this get an 8.8 and Lorna Shore a 1/10? 😂 Change in taste? Not hating, just wondering.
Yeah, I don't get it either. Winter is basically a cover song.

Can someone pls say the name of the song or the name of the band
Disembodied Tyrant x Synestia: Winter

Rare to be first
