FYI if you ever find a Jackson racing supercharger,you can run about 5 to 6 pounds without tuning.Most Hondas have a back door on their computers.Good work On your setup look good

End of last year, I bought an 09 Pilot with the 3.5L i-vtec VCM and the first time I popped the hood, my wrenchy brain said "there definitely looks to be room on top of that there engine for a supercharger..." I'm so glad I found this video, and temporarily placated the ever turning wheels of my mind that yes, it would fit. lol

Yup stock they are pretty good but with this supercharger setup im shooting for a little over 300 lol
I love the idea of doing things for my vehicle when its served me without an issue. Also, I would love a Gen 2 Ridgeline that sounds like this.
Did you have to make a adapter plate for the supercharger? What else did you need to do to the engine? I have a Honda odyssey I want to do this to

Interested in doing the same, but I can’t find anyone who built a ridgeline to go fast, plenty Of over landers, wonder if it because it’s not worth it
It’s worth it. Do it just do the research, there’s tons of tuners that can help. Plus a j series v6 is extremely easy to work on.

Yes it can with bigger injectors and a tune. I’m in the process of gathering the parts to supercharge my 04 Odyssey

What did your MPG look like after adding the supercharger? I realize most people don't care that much if they've decided to add forced induction to their car, but I am very curious.

Just want to let you know not sure you're aware but Saturn uses that same engine in its vue redline witch is supercharged v6 3.5l honda engine.
The Vue Redline is not supercharged unfortunately.
Not supercharged and its the worst version of the honda 3.5

Put smaller pulley to the super charger and tune it with it.
Look into putting some headers on it if you havent already be some really nice gains. Clean build i like that you dont have to cut the hood for the supercharger to fit

Check egr valve and check egr ports in the manifold they plug up with carbon frequently

I think a cool look would be wrapping all the hoses and electrical wires under the hood in a braded Metal, I am going to do that to my car.

Good point! Probably better to not super charge a 280hp VTEC Honda V6. It has balls! Used to have a 2020 Insight. Kind of miss the instant 50hp the electric motors had. Really sticks you in the seat. But the Honda V6 has a sweet induction sound. It was made in Japan. And those dude rock on machines in general.

I have the gen2 pilot. What software you using to tune? Also what are your before and after mpgs? Going to pay mine off and thinking of getting the wife a minivan and keeping the pilot for off road like this.
Will this setup work on a 2021 just got about a week ago, looking into powermods, intake, exhaust by the way its looking ill be at 36000 in one year averaging 150-200 miles a day

Nice build! Started giving me ideas for my 2023 Ridgeline when it goes out of warranty. But, I noticed a huge issue, reliability. Probably better to not supercharge a 280hp VTEC Honda V6. It has balls anyway! Used to have a 2020 Insight. Kind of miss the instant 50hp the electric motors had. Really sticks you in the seat, (way underrated car btw with 197 ft lbs of torque!). But the Honda 3.5L 24-Valve SOHC i-VTEC V6 has a sweet induction sound, (not as cool as a supercharger sound though). It was made in Japan. And how many years has Honda been racing F1? Pretty sure their production V6 is wired by now! A dude did 1 million miles with a 3.0 in an Accord. Still, hats off to you for doing it. I have an old 2001 Pathfinder with a 5-speed manual. Be fun to supercharge that!

@@ev11automotive I doubt the motor sould blow up, these things can do 600 on a stock block. As for the transmission, I'm not sure

@@truettcashstick with the J series, they’re pretty peppy in stock form so it wouldn’t take much to really get some power out of it. I daily mine, I’ve raced a couple rice boys and surprised them. Plus with basic maintenance they go forever.

my buddy has a Pilot hes planning on selling. was going to sell it locally for like 7500 but told me he will give me it for 5000. the things mint hes put a few thousand into it but he Toyota finally finished up his new SUV and car so he doesnt really need it anymore. just gotta sell my clapped ass Taurus (which even in the condition its in with the market i should get 2000-2500). would you say its a good daily?
