      I seem to remember there was anotherwarrior of legend... His name is lost to time, but if I remember the myth correctly, something was done to his bunny, "Daisy." His warcry was something along the lines of ripping and tearing?

      Not crazy, a psychopath. They don't "become" like that they are born with a defect in their midbrain so that empathy is greatly reduced or entirely absent. They are what you get when a person entirely runs on reptile brain emotions, the part of their brain that governs "mammal" emotions doesn't work right and the absence warps the development of their personality.

      "We stopped looking for monsters under our bed when we realized that they were inside us." Which explains both stories. Its why we are the worst enemies you can make and why when the monster gets loose you'd better have your will filled out.

      @loganshaw4527 oh I agree, an antihero is willing to do some downright horrendous things, but they don't enjoy it (unless it's personal), the chick in story 2 is taking a sadistic pleasure in what she does and using her targets wrongdoing as the excuse.
      Basically, she is just enjoying herself, and doing good is the byproduct.

    • @atomicskull6405
      @atomicskull6405 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The second one is a typical psychopath, they are born with a defect in their midbrain. If you put them in a PET scanner you see that their midbrain isn't lit up, so they run entirely on reptile brain emotions and it warps the development of their personality. People like that aren't made, they don't become like that they are just born that way. The ones you actually see are the ones that never learn to hide what they are but many do learn to conceal their nature and blend in.

    They say 1 in 5 humans is a sociopath. Most go into business. Don't give them a reason to go looking for fun in some other way.

    • @atomicskull6405
      @atomicskull6405 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's a scale though not all or nothing most just have reduced function in the part of their midbrain that governs "mammal" emotions and can be fairly normal, and are what you might describe as a "cold bastard" A good example of this would be Steve Jobs who was clearly a high functioning sociopath. It's only the most extreme cases where they have *no* mammal emotions and those people are actual monsters.

    • @alganhar1
      @alganhar1 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      A surprising number of such conditions are a scale, some are also chemical imbalances and can be treated with drugs.
      Just because someone is a Sociopath, or a Psychopath, does not make them a monster, Very few are on the far end of the scale after all. Most are what we would term as 'Functioning'. They can function more or less normally in human society though may come off as a little cold or amoral.

    • @elderblackdragon
      @elderblackdragon 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Ah, nooooo. The girl in the second story is not a sociopath, they are a psychopath. The difference is in personal gain v.s. emotional pleasure.
      A sociopath, many of whom do go into business, the really extreme ones will pull out a pistol and steal the shoes off your feet because they want the shoes, but they don't gain any emotional boost outside of "I made money". A psychopath hurts people for pleasure. The fact she took the time to kill targets painfully, and explain her actions indicate that person is a psychopath. Backing that is the fact she didn't dream of killing her co-worker for the $20 in her pocket. She wanted to do so because the vivacious, but vapid idiot was annoying her.
      She wasn't killing for personal gain, but for emotional reasons. That means psychopath.

    • @lemax6865
      @lemax6865 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well no, they're both evil. The woman won't be *perceived* as evil by most people because she was clever in her choice of target, but she is pure evil. If and when she runs out of "acceptable" targets, she'll start torturing and killing others.

    • @spencersmith9469
      @spencersmith9469 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @lemax6865 the phrase is meant to be a lesson on things like war and such where which side you look from determines whether an individuals actions are good or evil

    • @lemax6865
      @lemax6865 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@spencersmith9469 And I disagree with that assertion. Good and evil can be a matter of perspective, yes, but of moral perspective, as in what principles matter most to the person judging. If the only criteria is "is it good for me", such as might be observed when a person denounces the crimes of the enemy only to excuse the same crimes in their allies, then they have no principles. They are only pretending to make a moral judgement.

    • @spencersmith9469
      @spencersmith9469 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @lemax6865 many people and entire cultures or nations have trouble seeing their own actions as wrong or evil as they feel the ends justify the needs. That being said there are times where cultures and society norm create a area where another would consider their actions wrong or evil. ex polygamy many cultures consider it wrong unlawful and yet at one point it was the norm in some areas it still might be

    • @lemax6865
      @lemax6865 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@spencersmith9469 See, the example of polygamy would be an example of evil and good being decided by differences in moral principles. The example of people having trouble seeing their own actions as wrong is an example of them either a) having no actual principles or b) using various coping mechanisms to avoid confronting their ego to the notion that they did something wrong, rather than admit that they erred and strive to be better.
      Finally, "the ends justify the means" is a fallacy when employed broadly. Some ends may justify certain means in a given situation; this is to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

      And sometimes you need someone who has completely lost it. This is what would be called "the nuclear option" LOL

    I don’t think this woman is crazy. A homicidal and calculating sociopath maybe she’s just someone who wanted something socially unacceptable but then kinda found a way around that unacceptability.
    People who kill are not always insane and those people who are insane don’t always kill.

      A sane killer is by far a worst one.

      Oh, she'd be diagnosable with something or other, but that's typically not what people mean when they say "crazy" anyways, they just mean "unhinged". And she was definitely unhinged, so in either case it's fair to call her crazy lmao

      Don't agree. She is crazy, but, she is like Dexter and understands that acting out is a risk that can backfire. You're right crazy people don't always kill. But, that is because their variety of crazy isn't homicidal. But, this chick was fatasizing about murder but only held off because of the consequences.

      @@loganshaw4527 I don't agree. A sane killer only kills when its rationally necessary. They will only kill you if they absolutely have to.
      Military snipers fall into this category. They make a rational decision based on the rules of engagement and the circumstances whether a target needs to be eliminated. They're not killing for sport. They're not killing because they like it. They're not killing because they hate the target. They usually kill because the target is a threat to their fellow soldiers and logically has to be removed from the living.
      Insane killers will kill you without provocation and without a rational reason. Literally anything could cause them to kill you. This chick was actively looking for an excuse to kill someone without provocation or justifiable reason. Her vigilante spree was just a pretext to give her that excuse. That is insanity. A healthy mind doesn't have that desire to kill without a valid justifiable reason.
      So long as you don't do something really stupid and violent you would be totally safe around a sane killer. An insane person is ALWAYS going to be a threat to you.
