In 2070 if facebook is still around and used as today it will contain more dead people then living ones. How long our digital footprint will survive is anyone's guess. Sometimes i think it will last thousands of years.

That was beautiful. And amazing. Respect for the dead is something most civilized species will understand. And here something that led to a new friendship among the living. Kudos to the author and the noble Narrator.
Wow, that was a good story. It had my wife and I entranced. I like how the guy offered friendship when that’s all the humans ever wanted and then they got invited to meet the federation. I can’t believe how good these stories are.

A while ago my browsers crashed, and I lost all of my Favorites, I know they would have been from Agro though as he was all I was listening to on Sc-Fi/HFY/Reddit It was probably last year or even the year before, and it could be from any reading, as I was trying to just listen as far back as I could find. Sorry I can't pin it down at all for you.

I dozed off listening to another story, I woke up with tears in my eyes to this one, I was sad but also at peace. Some of the stories really hit me but this one effected me deeply. I wish we all could learn from this..with everything going on now my heart breaks for every life lost to the conflicts we are seeing it does not matter what side what beliefs each life lost is something that can never be replaced.
I'm not crying! You are! Never felt that tug at the back of my eyes and throat from a story where there is actually no real emotional connection to the characters before. Damned wellwritten story and phenomenal narration!

The Gravekeeper being named Grimm wasn't lost on me, nor the capitalization of the word Friend. Death is a friend to all, unseen by most until he is needed.
I really hope that they are actually asking for friendship and aren't just thinking to betray him cause of greed I really want this to be as wholesome as it seems.
Well at the very least it ended a fratricidal war. That alone is a worthy event. Plus, I think they'd be too frightened of the crazy humans to do that. Considering how much more our tech was than theirs and that its tech from a 1000 years prior to the story, they have to know they have no chance.

This month has seen a lot of death with myself coming close, so, this was a good cry. For those that we've lost...
