I'm always interested in stuff I can do to my farmall M "s I collected over the last 45 years. I like the fast hitch idea from a 560 . I've seen that idea before, maybe it was on a different one of your video's , but I remember it was with a 2 way valve. And on that valve had an extra port or something to allow 1 way to still ne used. Your lucky to have such a fine M, even doom pistons, the good type power steering.
the last of super m had a place to bolt fast hitch on i have seen them also you can use a supermta rear end jjust change it over to 12 volt starter will take it may have to replace recoil spring on bendix it will break eventually
I really enjoyed seeing this sweet piece of history; I have a '47 myself. I may have missed you talking about your brakes but you have the regular band brake on the right and an after market Lambert disc brake on the left. I'd love to see her in action especially using the fast hitch. Thanks for sharing.
How does your brakes work on this one? I have one with the 3 bolt disk on it like yours. Mine are worn out , and the replacement disk are over $100⁰⁰ each. So that's over $400⁰⁰ to redo them.
This one only had a disc on the left side for some reason and I didn’t notice it until after I sold it lol but both worked well you couldn’t tell a difference other than the band needed adjusting on the right side
You might need to shim the starter. Loosen the bolts a little and see if it turns over easier. My M gets stuck once in a while. Some thin washers between the starter and the mount might help.
I always said that ;looks don't get the job done. The Sea Bee Uncle said there were show horses and there were work horses. I'd take a work horse. Looks like you got a good one! BLESSINGS!
I have been wanting a fast hitch for my m for years, I just haven't found one close to me for cheap, nice job!
Thanks it’s a very good setup now we just need to make it look a little better

It’s a pretty good tractor I actually traded it recently but I kept the fast hitch
The fast hitch definitely needs some refinement
@@DrRust you traded it, well ok, now someone else has a "cool" late model M
but with out the 2 point
He’s building a puller out of it with his son
Are you talking about the Christmas tree on the right side next to the belt pulley that turned the hydraulics from 1 way to 2 way?

I never looked at the brakes closely I’ll take a look
I’m glad you enjoyed it thanks for watching

I wish I thought of that
Very snappy throttle response !
Is it possible you were given a 12 V starter?
I don’t think it’s 12v I gave them the part number

Definitely a work horse
That s why my M has a alternator
It has live hydraulic now.
No but it’s got a live power steering pump that looks like a live hydraulic pump
please clean it and take care of it. as bad as I want one I hurt over seeing them this dirty. I would Restore it.
It actually belongs to someone else now so I don’t know what it’s current state is but it definitely needed a good bath and some preservation
why lie about the tire price?
I’m not lying if google it you will see
But I never said that I paid that for it
It has
A pin in the shifter is how it came from the factory, Plus you never paid 2000 for 1 tire, Thats a straight up LIE!
I didn’t pay that for the tire because it had shipping damage but they retail for $2,261 it’s a 380/80/38 Michelin radial rice tread
