    Looks like a decent specimen!! Thanks for rescuing it.
    I used to tractor pull and got kind of bored of it so I'm all for putting that one back in the field. 😂

    I would take another PTO and install it on this tractor, then dyno it. That's the only way you know exactly what you have.

    • @DrRust
      @DrRust  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I could do that but so far I haven’t found a local dyno I’m thinking about trying to build my own dyno

      @@DrRust all dealerships have a dyno. Call one and ask how much to dyno your tractor. It might cost a hundred.

    • @DrRust
      @DrRust  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I wouldn’t be worried about the cost just because I’d like to know what several of my tractors have for power I’ll try the local Ih dealer thanks

    Runs like Swiss watch. Let it pay for itself. it'll last a lot longer in the field than yanking it around yanking stuff. That's MY 2 cents worth. Blessings and a fine new year to yall.

    That M sounds good and I would get it back to what she was . Should not take to much. A good clean and paint and decals and there you go. Off to the fields to work that PTO . Thanks for this video. Check out "Just a Few Acres Farm" Pete has a few Farmalls he has stripped down and restored. Nice work and good channel detail.🌞

    Yes, They are/were a good tractor. If it was Green it would have a much, much higher Value even though the Green one is no better if even a match for the Supper M.

    Buff up the reliability and put a linseed oil finish on it (lasts about a year stored outside) to shine it up and sell to a young farmer getting started. Those tractors fed the nation for decades and can do so again if given a bit of care.

    This is dad, I grew up with a M on the farm. I screwed up when the Dr was little and let it get away. I have sort of wanted to get one for myself for a while (since doc brought Lester home) and this one popped up on the facespace. The deal was good enough to take a risk. I don’t see it leaving for a while. Restoration is not in the plan but preservation is. Kind of like VGG, just save them from scrap and keep them in circulation. I have some crazy mods I’ve been wanting to try and this might be the right specimen lol.

    Restore it back too original fresh off the assembly line condition. And then do whatever it that people do with a 1953 teactor restored too mint condition. Sale it, give it too a Museum, work it. You make money off the videos restoring it don't you
