While you were dreaming of another cabin and digging up rocks, dragging them and the logs with the snow dog giving us all heart attacks. We can breath easy now. I was praying you didn't hurt yourself lol It's all coming together with lots of helping hands. This is teamwork and I'm so thankful you have such awesome helpers. Another beautiful day in the wilderness ♥
WOW Martin nothing like a good old cabin raising with some good skilled buddies happy all is going well, A lot of work but it will be a perfect get away for some friends , Maybe you could even do an Airbnb, after all who dosnt like to get away to the woods for some peace n quiet. , looking forward to the next video a progress..
I know what a regular cup of coffee does for me in the morning...a cup of espresso I wouldn't be able to leave the outhouse 😂 looking mighty fine Martin.
Martin, Micheal likes a nice “bite” to his morning coffee! A symphony of chainsaws 🎶 no radio needed. Paula keeping the men fed. What a wonderful gal she is! 👍
It’s going to take a while knowing there is another cabin next to yours. And those wood’s probably have never seen that many people in the same area or the noise of chainsaws. Great friends to bring it all together.
@@TheNorthwoodsman1 wish I could have come and helped out. I live in Maine so I could have looking for those shirts you love so much. Thanks for taking us through the whole build.
High octant coffee to get the day started. Then with all the chainsaws running sounds like a massive swarm of upset hornets. Looks like the construction is coming along quite nicely. As the Brits would say, crack on and have a great day.
I just recently retired and would have loved to have paticipated. However, I'm not much of a Carpenter. However, I am good at drinking coffee and eating😅 Cabin is looking GREAT!👍
Wow, it may be well worth it to drink the espresso but spending over 10 minutes watching it be made leaves alot to be desired! LMAO Thank goodness for the conversation! Looking forward to more cabin building and less coffee creations! See you next week!
Good point. Not sure what I was thinking or not thinking. Maybe I was so much remembering how nice the morning gab sessions were that I wanted to preserve it for years down the road. More likely I selected 5 minutes in the middle of that and forgot to hit delete.

All these negative comments about the guy making espresso...really? Good grief; go yell at the clouds some more, eh? Watching these videos are bittersweet for me; so glad to see the cabin build, yet disappointed I wasn't able to be there. Oh well, if there's any 'mop up' work that needs to be done when you go on your spring trip, let me know. I should have several months of traveling with my camper trailer under my belt and will be ready to make a long-distance/multi-week trip by then.

@TheNorthwoodsman1 Good way to split your face in half...My dad did a similar thing in his younger days. When the saw bucked up towards his face, he saved it with his left hand blocking the bar..cut up his hand really bad.. I was a little kid around 5 or 6 years old. Remember it well still at 73.
Touché. Amidst a surprising number of comments questioning my methods, this one is absolutely correct and I apologize. About the others directed at my coffee-making, all I can say is that if something is worth doing it's worth doing right. ;-) But with the saw I clearly forgot that and should have made some kind of brace for the boards or at least had one of the other guys hold them so I could use both hands. It's not a defense but I think I was lulled by the lightness of those tiny saws compared with those to which I'm accustomed. This incident notwithstanding, I use both hands without fail at my camp and almost always wear full PPE.
@michaelalan3434 Your lucky and must thank God your ok. It takes only ONCE for a life changing even to occur. What would be your excuse, I only did it that way once? But still glad nothing happened way out there in the woods , far from emergency help..Glad your safe! Never take shortcuts for anything or anyone. You didn't empress anyone sir. I don't like Expresso coffee. My body just can't handle it. It's too rich. It's what they're drinking over in the European world. Cappuccino, too. It's the frothy milk too.
That was some visual being you are far away from civilization where Expresso coffee doesn't take that long to make. I would only eat the frothy cream. That coffee will wake me up like crazy. A bottle of soda would be better.
I know I messed up, I think I had 5 minutes in the middle selected and forgot to hit delete and must have not previewed the video and then it was too late.

Airbnb has been the joke but it would be nice if some would come to enjoy it.
If i was in your neck of the woods i sure would , i love being in an off grid cabin
I could tell how much fun you all were having. Fellowship and friends. Just as God designed it!

good morning, Martin. That espresso will sure wake you up, doesn't it ? it's really cool watching that cabin take shape. I love it.

the expresso was worth waiting for.
I don't know about y'all but it looks to me that this is a great "Vacation"!? Things are moving up! 😉 Have a great week Martin. 👍
You noticed!
Great to see everything is going really well with the guest cabin
and some extra help take care and thanks.🏘️🇺🇲👋
The help[ that came in was awesome.
Sounded like a lot of busy bees going on there. Glad to see it coming together. Take care, Al
Earmuffs were needed all day long.
Awesome video. Big improvement over watch world news.
There is that to be thankful for.

If he will do all that work to make it I will slowly sip my morning portion, so good to a coffee addict.
Wow, great team work. Interesting to watch, Martin. And that coffee looked perfect. 👍 thx
Coffee always hits the spot in the morning.
Awesome job, guys, and Paula! It's awesome to see this all happen! 👍😎🇨🇦☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️

I could only sip a little , just like Jim's Jameson.

The gest cabin is looking great! With a great team things get done. Cheers Martin and Crew!🤓
It is amazing what happens when everyone works together.
I see progress! This is going to be a great series of videos.

If I meant to leave that in it must have been for the chatter we had each morning. Or I just messed up and forget to delete a clip.
As someone else commented "... a symphony of chainsaws". Amazing to see the progress on the new cabin.
Too much coffee time or too much symphony of chainsaws or something in the middle.
@@TheNorthwoodsman1 expresso powered chainsaws 😅😂
@TheNorthwoodsman1 I never tired hearing the chainsaws.
Betcha espresso will be a regular specialty at the cabin 🤩👍🏻😀
Only if Michael makes it.
Great progress. Looks like great fellowship too.
Right on both counts.
First time I’ve heard of campfire expresso 👍🏻🤩
His little pot was a stove top model. But OH the grinding required.
Was watching this, concentrating on you men notching the logs, and I thought wow that sounds like a beehive!!

Good morning friend Martin.
Morning to you too.
It's a beautiful thing!👍
I agree.
It looks complicated this coffe making process. Martin was lucky he didn't have to make it himself:)
Way too much for an Irish ancestry to tackle, perk or cowboy for me most mornings.
@@TheNorthwoodsman1 I don't remember your story of visiting Ireland. Do you have a video about it?
No, that was before TH-cam was around.
THANK YOU
And to you a thanks for showing up.
For those followers interested in original north woods log builds, may I suggest the Hanka Homestead in the Keweenaw Peninsula.
Nice they are saving the old homestead. My forest is full of rotted homesteads that held so much promise for their builders.
Another great video Martin
Thanks
Thank you!!
You are welcome.
Lookin' Good!!) Keep those bars oiled. ;)
Gallons were used in doing this.
awesome vid..thanks
Glad it is showing what a gathering this was.
That dudes the moonshiner of expresso lol
Meant to just to be the sideshow to the morning banter.
Fueled by Caffeine , Chainsaws and Paula
The saws did rev special after that infusion.
All that for coffee? Holy chit! ;) I will stick with my cowboy coffee! :)
It allowed us to put off going to work a little while longer.
Nice
Glad you liked it.
Those bottom logs are pretty complicated. Looking good though!
Yes they were, a lot of measuring and thinking.
Lookin good 👍🪵
Lots of logs were moved.
MARTIN, WHAT ALL THE BIRDS MUST BE THINKING??????? Do take care. Fl.
They had all those hands feeding them so they did not complain.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
He must love his coffee. That's time that he could have fried bacon or spam instead.
He admitted to making a large batch and reheating it in the next few days
I betcha those chainsaw kept that young lady & us from hearing a lot of bad words 😮😂😵
Actually, none at all. The word viagra slipped in once and I deleted it.
ill buy the old 🗝️ cabin martin
But I come with it.
I aiways make perk coffee , i'm having some right now.
Works for me but the intravenous injection was a real eye opener.
Just give me a regular coffee

For air movement and also for a good view. It will also allow for a nice porch on the south side.

How is Jim?
same question i have ,i think on him often.
He shows up in a bit and is having half a knee replaced this month.
From the perspective of the uneducated;
It appears Allen and Michael did all the heavy building?
I heard they were slipping the camera man steaks in return for the favorable angles.
@ That’s only a rumor and has no basis in fact!
Let's just be frank: I don't care how good the espresso is. That's way too much work.
Well if Michael wants to make it I will enjoy. We did pass the grinder around a few times.
