I have seen a lot of how to videos for smoker builds and yours is by far the best one out there. You provide a lot of information that is needed that others do not include. Thank you.
Here's a tip I've found helpful for making the vertical lines around the tank. Use a roll of magnetic sheet vinyl. 3" x10' for $12-$15 on amazon. Great Videos by the way!
Man, I've been asking this question from all smoke builders, never get a response. Wish I could,,, been stalling on building my smoker due to not being able to figure this out.
love ur videos. I am going to try and make a vertical from a 100g propane tank. Not sure I will do an offset or just smoke from the bottom with an indirect plate.
I’m in the process of building a 250gal smoker. I have some questions. Are the cut out for the doors 1/4 of the circumference or slightly less? Does the cooking grate sit exactly halfway or slightly lower?
LOL, the tape measure starting at 10", I had to laugh. Not that you did it, just at the comments. I do similar, all my tapes have incremental inch marks after each 12 inches, so the first inch after 12 has 2 markings, 13 and 1, if i need 6 inches I start at 12 and read the 6 on the tape.

Excellent video!
It's nice to see another fabricator show off skill sets. It's pretty uncommon for older guys to show the shit they've learned over the years.
That is amazing. Watched it over and over. Very professional guys! And thanks

Good videos!!!!! 💯
Where the heck did you come across the flexible tape measure? That’s pretty slick.
I second that.
Can you cut at the 12 and 3 oclock marks or so you have to come in a couple inches on each mark then cut
Hey buddy, yes you can cut at 12 o’clock and 3 o’clock.
The only catch is at the door might be a little heavier at the 12 o’clock position
Ok thank you
whats the brand/make of that tape measure??

Where can I find the tape measure
I need one smoker.
Would you please tell me what kinda marker you were using?
We bounce between soap stone (chalk) for the white or for the black marks. We use the Milwaukee marker red body with a black cap.
@@SmokerBuilder thank you very much I appreciate it
Not a problem at all!
any particular reason you remove the bungs rather than just plug them and flip it over?
How much would you say a typical 250gal reverse flow smoker weighs?
So many things vary, but normal would be around 1000 to 2000 lbs. every one is different depending on customer options.
That 10 thing is genius actually lol
