I have said it before, and I'll say until I'm dead: Rodney Crowell is the BEST singer-songwriter working in America today. Nobody else is close; the man's an absolute genius.

This man is new to me. Why haven't i heard of him before? Absolute class. His lyrics are very smart. Great voices from both singers. Those horns. This is up there with Pink Floyd, Mark Knophler, Nick Drake. It's that good. x

Fantastic! I was driving around doing my little bit of shopping, which is still all we are allowed in Canada/Niagara region at the moment. This came on SiriusXM, and I stayed in the car listening, then had to listen again when I got home. Love the lyrics, love the vibe, love you Rodney. Have seen you often with Emmylou when one could do such things. Can’t wait for live music to return. I’m a singer-songwriter myself. The pandemic has been brutal. Lucky to have my first vaccination and soon to get the second. But Rodney, man, you rock!!

Rodney is in my opinion very much better than a lot think, I recall he started his career more or less as a musician with Emmylou Harris & then I think started song writer etc, I recall the greatly missed Johnny Cash saying Rodney was one or two of his ex Son in Laws he likes & had respect for****

Just saw him on his current tour. WOW he has some excellent musicians he stole away from the G. O. Opery! WOW! I like he put them to work when there was none, and LOVED all the great funny stories. His piano player is AMAZING. She is one of those who seems to want to be in the background, but shines brightly. IDK how she moves those tiny little dainty hands across those keys so FAST and ACCURATE! Rodney said she's played since 3y/o and it shows. FABULOUS concert. HIGHLY recommend if you get a chance. He said he can only see about 7 rows back. THank GOODNESS he didnt pick on me! lol

I got turned on to Rodney via the Jerry Jeff Walker tree. Had a Gary Stuart album w/Rodney songs. My handicapped nephew used to love his Mormon grandma’s Oak Ridge Boys’ Rodney songs. Came back from Hawaii in 1980 and my friend, who I turned on to Rodney, had a tape of “But What Will the Neighbors Think?” …. gotta shorten the story, but he’s still killing’ it. Here comes the ‘80s forty years later.

Rodney has been a songwriting hero of mine for as long as I can remember. I lived in Nashville trying to do the songwriter thing and i had to move due to a family illness and catching his shows at places like 3rd and Lindsley is one of the things I miss the most. I always heard not to meet your heros because they will lose their shine but with Rodney that is not the case every time I had the opportunity to speak with him he was very nice as was Vince Gill who always seemed to be around . Lord I miss Nashville

Wow...I grew up knowing you sang some of my favorite songs and had no idea you wrote a lot of the rest of them ..I always thought you were from east Texas..but you are a Houstonian like me. I hope you are a believer...I like your music..sung and written..I hope to see you in the next life..I send my kids your songs...they are in college now..Your songs helped my love life in the early 90's..Stars on the Water..and I couldn't leave you if I tried are some of my favorite songs of all time!
