- In this video I get my new @Baumalight TRL620D Mini Skid Steer. I take it out of the crate and try it out with some of the new Martatch attachments. We lift up a car, move a huge log, and pick up full IBC totes!

“Give it some gas princess” 😂😂😂😂😂 love it and congratulations! That’s a great machine for you!
lol was hoping you’d hear that part!
What great little machine. Looking forward to see this in more action. Take care guys
Thanks guys!
Exciting addition to the wood yard 😊 Great job bringing in a temporary deal for a piece of equipment that will benefit both you and the company. Can't wait to see the shenanigans you will get into with it
I like how the little channels are getting pretty cool sponsorship opportunities
Worst they can say to me is no! 😂
Very good for the Dude Ranch. Thanks for the thorough overview and demo.
Thanks for watching!
With the skid steer you will be able to have it with a grapple and the tractor with forks, eliminating the need to swap implements when processing firewood.
Yep that’s the plan!
Congratulations fellows 👍👍 looking forward to seeing it in use on the channel.
Thanks for watching Ron
Hydraulic cooler is on the "hood" engine coolant is in the engine bay. You got those backward. Looks like a well thought out machine. Can't wait to see more!
Brock's machine woulda picked that log, hes got more counterweight
Yep my mistake! I do like the location of the hydraulic cooler!
Nice drone shots and that is going to be a fun new toy with lots of ways to find uses for it as your neighbor found out! You are right, that machine packs a punch!
Thanks! Looking forward to using it more!
Hello Jake, congratulations buddy, Great addition to your yard🤘🏻🪵🇺🇸
Thanks Larry!
Very cool addition to the wood yard. I think you guys will have a lot of fun with that machine.
I think so too!
Looks like a handy piece of equipment to add to the woodyard. Anxious to see how it works for you!
Sure is! Looking forward to having it out on jobs!
Pretty nice!!! Princess quote was a good one!!!
😂
Awwwsome unboxing. Funn vid.
That was a great introduction busting out crate. Looking forward to future content of this machine cause I been thinking of one for my business as well I was looking at Boxer but could swing that way
Haha didn’t go exactly to plan but was easier than taking apart the crate by hand!
Them little mini skid loaders are impressive. That lift way more than my little tractor. Nice video
They are cool little machines! So far I’m impressed!
I’m from Ontario and if this machine came from ON it might explain the colour of the fuel. You can purchase coloured fuel for off road equipment which means you pay less taxes on the fuel. I look forward to you using it.
Yep red off road fuel as well here in the states
Mini beast! Jake, I have added that front plate to my grapple two years ago. The reason being that if I want to finger pinch one log off the pile it allows me to also you can pick up single boulders or rocks, and place them exactly where you want to. I have used it to move my bucket and place big rounds on my splitter since I don’t have a log lift. I’m sure others can find other uses having that plate in front of the grapple. Easy to put on and take off. Regards
Yep I can certainly see the plate being useful for certain tasks, I don’t think it’s necessary for grabbing logs off my pile considering the way they are oriented
Impressive review brother! I wonder if they'll introduce these in Australia, as the Thomas skiddies weren't successful here, unfortunately, possibly due to environmental conditions. I'd love to see it square up against the kanga dt835.
You may want to think abut coppicing if you have trees that will do that. Once you get the trees properly spaced, it makes a more sustainable wood yard source.
I have selectively taken down certain trees and “thinned” the canopy around the woodyard. Leaving nice straight saplings plenty of room to grow and slowly taking down the big mature trees.
Congrats looks like a decent machine.
Thanks Heath
That's going to be handy dandy in the wood yard.
For sure!
Nice tool!
Thanks!
Pretty nice unit there .
Thanks!
That is a really nice machine, brother. I hope you enjoy it and benefit from it. It looks like high quality. Chip
Thanks Chip, I think it will work well for me!
Great sponsorship/advertising opportunity. Definitely want to see how it handles stacking full totes of green heavy firewood once you get the weight kit installed.
Thanks! Counterweights are on their way!
Awsome video
Those machines look amazing.
I would love to do a video on doing a full service on one of them engine, hydraulics, final drives.
When it’s time to do the service on it feel free to come on by and do it for me! 😂
@DudeRanchDIY I wish i was closer because I would. Those little machines are awesome and getting more popular. A full service video would be great to have floating around
@@TheRustyGarageandHomesteadyep once I get to that point I will definitely do one
I rented one of those last year - I will be watching to see how you like it. The only thing I noticed was it was a bit rough riding, especially on hard surfaces (concrete, asphalt, etc.).
It is a pretty rough ride especially compared to the other one I had.
I’ll be following just for the Baumalight review. Algorithm just brought me to your channel 4/29/24. I’m looking forward to it! 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
Thanks for checking it out!
Impressive strength from a little machine. Could the Cormidi lift a green tote of oak? Mike 🔥🪵
The Cormidi was able to do about the same maybe a little more but it had counter weights.
hi if you have access ash you might want to market them to basket makers as the splints are worked from the logs and have been used by pioneers and native Americans for centenary some places have a blight on ash trees
I save and sell all my ash for firewood bundles
Hey Jake how are you doing I'm good great video and great product
Hey Robert I’m doing well!
You have to be careful lifting something and hitting the max when up higher. It will launch you over the machine. Did it to a co-worker of mine years ago when we were trying to load a pallet of tar casks on the back of a trailer with a Gehl skidsteer. Funny shit watching him fly over me and into the back of the trailer. Luckily he wasn't hurt.
Nice addition to the collection Jake. I know Brock at RockHillFarm sure likes his and even more after he added the weight kit. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
Yep I’m looking forward to working with it more!
Does it come with a rusty muffler or is that an option 😳
lol I thought the same thing… not quite sure what the deal is with that
Yeah , it looks like it's gonna be a pretty dandy a little piece of equipment As you were saying about the exillery is three hydraulic Leave her , that's there that it's on or It would be kind of cool for when you're running a grapple type Implement that there be a trigger On the hydraulic arm hydraulic arm leaver And then you would only use that Oxygen owner off labor in lake. You say operating a Mulch head Or mower
Yep they are going to be sending me a new loader lever with auxiliary hydraulic buttons for the grapple
Do you like the log grapple after using it for a while?
It works pretty well hydraulics on the machine need to slow down a bit.
Nice, I want mini skid & mini ex.
Me too!
Eastonmade mini skid splitter attachment in your future?
That could be quite possible!
Maybe 🤔 Jake they could give you a deal on the mini skid steer after the two years 😮😊❤
We’ll see!
What is that red bar on the right side for?
Probably safety bar for hydraulic cylinder when working on it with boom in the air.
Exactly!
Yea Canada.
Have you checked out Eastonmade's new skid steer splitter? Maybe Andrew can do a product trial with you. It's supposed to be applicable for mini skids 🤷
I wonder where he got the idea for that… timing seems too good to be true as well… 😉🤫
The ability to quarter large rounds for processing would be sweet and beat the hell out noodling or wrestling those rounds on a box wedge 🤣
For sure! I already told my log supplier to bring in some bigger stuff!
🇨🇦💪💪
Hello from a phan
⭕️⭕️⭕️🤟🏼
I hope you got on demo...too light!
Yep got it for a two year demo
So far your tractor is more impressive than this machine, but with no front axle to worry about I'll see when you have the counter weights and the other attachments it's going to be interesting to see how you guys work it, stay safe.
Yeah the tractor and this are obviously completely different kinds of machine with differing intended purposes. I think once you see the other attachments I get for it you’ll see it has its place and is quite valuable to my business and operation!
Ok last offer on 37 ton rugged maid $2800 cash
1st big red flag on that machine.. delivered to you in factory creat. Means no PDI done on it. No test done. Just off the line an put on a truck in factory creat no dealer did a PDI ON it before customer takes delivery. Bad news. To top it off you started it up with out even checking if it was filled with oils of coolent. How ever it nice to see it came from Canada were i am. But there many companies in canada that import from over seas but they make it sound like they biuld them. Not the case on 95% of them
Not true, the machine was greased and filled with all fluids including diesel prior to loading on the crate. I personally spoke to the owner about this prior to taking it out of the crate.
