Hot Tub Broken Again! Circulation pump replacement Master Spas Twilight Series

2011 Master Spa Twilight Series 8.25 Hot Tub BROKEN AGAIN! (probably user error) I'll do a circulation pump swap before the outside temps freeze the tub and pipes. Why does this keep happening!?
Disclaimer: this hot tub is almost 13 years old and was inherited when I purchased my home in 2019. In no way do I think Master Spas or the circulation pump manufacturer is at fault for this issue. I in fact think this is a very well made and solid product. If I had the means, I buy a new Master Spas tub in a heartbeat...for now, I enjoy fixing this one!

Good info. Thanks. My 2018 Master Spa Twilight Series 7.2 quit working earlier this summer. Since it was summer and I had a ton of other projects going on I haven't looked at it until today. And I found the same thing that you showed. Breaker tripped and disconnecting the circulation pump connection the breaker stayed on. So now time to buy and replace circulation pump. Thanks for the confirmation.

Laing E14 circulation pumps are the pits. I've replaced three in my master spa hot tub since 2008.

We just had our 2nd pump go out on our 2011 twilight7.25. Just searching to see if it’s a job for us to do. The last one was nearly $1000. For pump, service call and labor.

Looks like fan blade material from your faulty pump

Black is broken down pieces from metal in circ pump - these pumps have to be replaced almost yearly. If you open old circ pump you will see pump is rusted out. They need to provide a new pump brand

I hope you got a cat. We have family that had mice eat the wiring in there hot tub.
