  • Everybody is always asking me how we get so many big tile roofs built. The secret is so much simpler than most roofers think. In this episode we go on a trophy roof hunt for a waterfront 100 sq tile roof. You can ride in the car with me as I coach one of my up and coming reps, Jimmy Ross, how to work a tile neighborhood. We do a little door knocking , drone flying, roof inspecting and contract closing in this action packed episode. When you diversify your playbook with high end residential you increase average job size significantly. Which leads to bigger profits off doing less work. I used to sell mostly asphalt shingles until I learned the secrets I share in this video. Now I look for old tile roofs with wind and hail damage first. We follow a process that has resulted in more than 5000 tile roofs for our company in the last few years. Often times roofers don't know what to look for and they overcomplicate the sell.     I’m in the state of Arkansas and ran in to a roof like this and insurance only paying repair and I have replace at least half of the back and insurance only goes with repair 🤦🏻‍♂️ I noticed you said that everything shifts and you have to fix more then just a section by the time that happens

    I’m confused, how do you make money? Is it that your roofing company gets paid by the insurance claim payout? And so you get paid but you’re essentially getting consent from the property owner to open a claim and fight for them to get the claim paid out (so you can get paid)?

      he gets money from doing the job.. see he selling a new roof at the end of the day on million plus homes..he stress's that these are discontinued so no new tiles will match so you end up doing the entire roof.. now since the home owner goes by his word alone an doesn't get 3 to 4 diff estimates.. he can bid his really high and make more then you would have called your own guys to check it out. And the little snide remark they made at the end to get the owner to sign should really tell you their true character.. first time seeing this and ya dont like guys like this the ruin good roofer's names

    I started off hearing awful things about you lee. The more of your content that I watch the more I like you. Let’s get together next time your in Houma Louisiana.. i am currently doing 750 sq of tpo for Edison chouest offshore and have a ton of aluminum and stone coated steel going on over the next couple of months as well as several more commercial buildings from r panel to standing seam, to mod bit, 2 apartment buildings and a hotel, a Gas station and a few comp residential.
