A quick expansion guide video in response to @darkfireslide's questions and comments on another video. Hopefully this helps make LA Jomon a little easier, and less crappy of a nation for you guys! Find any other ways to expand with them, let me know in the comments!
Well done! In my own tests I think I tried too hard to make Jomon's scales work, but the issue is that without an awake expander you just give up too much expansion to make the nation playable, even though misfortune sucks to take, especially in LA for a nation with so many summons. Still, 21 by 12 is great for such a rough start, I'll have to give this a go myself :) thanks for the guide!
If you'd like, I'm pretty confident with a better map I could hit ~20 with just troops and commanders. The main trick I used was recruiting indy commanders to ferry troops to my prophet (attrition is high on these guys), and then recruit heavy infantries wherever I could find them to supplement them.
Really helpful video for Jomon, thanks bro. Also not to be pedantic, genuine trying to help a brother out but the J is pronounced like "Joe-mon" not "Yo-mon" since the faction is obviously based on Japan and in Japanese thats how that letter is always pronounced.
Thank you! Had no idea! The one I got was the second one here: www.howtopronounce.com/jomon but seeing as how I don't deeply know the culture, I appreciate the heads up on a different way to say it! So the second version on that link (the one I used) is archaic, or is it simply not used because of a more detailed cultural answer?
That's a darn good point, the difficulty most have chatted with me about is the INITIAL start (to get into the water) since you don't have any access to water without your Pretender or spells. Thanks for the comment and feedback!
@@MazuiLakon Yes, or at least a Pretender that can summon some water guys. Jomon has a hero that can take troops underwater, but then you're soft-locked into a luck waiting game, and that's no fun ;)
