I mention it more so at the end as being very helpful, and spamming Ninjas, then later some of your summonable assassins is a very good strategy for Jomon to make up for some of your inconsistency as a nation.
Just got through all of it. You can really lean into assassins, which is hilarious. Going 5 ninjas start, and recruiting mages from your mountain Labs seems viable. Also, the blood fountain might be good for scales. You can max out turmoil and magic for extra gem events, and for your national summons.
Since you don’t really need to rely on your national recruits, there is little to lose going high turmoil. And since you are so gem-hungry as a nation luck also synergies well.
You make it sound like the Samurai Archers set to Fire Archers is the solution to all your crossbow woes. Are the crossbowmen too heavily armoured? Samurai archers too expensive?
It’s not that any of your units are that expensive, but that Longbows in the Late Age are just not as impactful as they used to be, against heavy armour they do need some help and you have enough magic diversity as Jomon to assist them. My main point is out of the national recruits, probably the Samurai Cav and Archers are the most useful.
11:00 & 30:00 Jiggling things around fast isn't generally nice to watch. I can see them on the screen but I can't read them while you jiggle them. You already brought the window to my attention.
I theory crafted an imprisoned fountain of blood with good scales (Magic 3!) with a sohei/tengu bless: righteous wrath, magic weps, x3 undying, enchanted blood. Was wondering what people think of that with LA Jomon? It is running misfortune 2, so getting into the water seems quite difficult since we can't expect to get the son of the dragon hero, so any tips for that?
I think you are better off with luck as Jomon since you are such a gem hungry nation in a gem deprived age that the extra gems from high luck goes a long way, I’d even consider a Luck scale pretender as an option for this reason alone. As for the bless, righteous wrath could be good if you plan on mass producing tengus since they will often die very quickly. Magic weaps is good but it depends what other nations are in the game as well. Imo a minimal stats/resist bless might be better value and your god might be more useful as a way to get greater path access rather than focusing on a big bless. In this video I went with a very basic hard skin bless which benefits all your sacreds to some degree, but honestly you could get away with a minimal “rainbow” pretender and a minor bless instead. Getting into the water is a huge priority for Jomon however and you should plan for this with your God design imo.
You don’t have as much use for air gems as for others so it can be useful to get a bit of an early game research boost. Just depends what you want to do, your research is not as great as other Late Age nations so it can help out to hit those key goals earlier and then transition to lanterns.
@@CairnEnjoyer Got to disagree. I can use up all my Air Gems just summoning Tengus. Dai Tengus especially, since they have access to the Teaching Sign and Fear-Not-Sign. But even the regular Tengus are decent at 3 gems for 5, with a decent enough bless.
That intro told me you are a man of culture and taste.
Nice intro!
Best intros in da biz
The shark yari are crazy
Also the dragon kings
Don't underestimate my crab general boiz I'd send him to a melee arena any day.
I will need to watch it through to the end, but keep in mind, Assassin Expansion works pretty well.

I don't know how well it works but it's definitely cool!

Why do they all do that? It has to be some kind of medical condition.

The intro tho 😅😅
Come on, not much change, I'm sad :(
28:00 might be a toonoki?
Yes, I had forgotten the name of this animal at the time.
Forging Quills seem pricy. Maybe just summon Jigamis instead?
