Next to Super Mario, Splatoon has became one of my top Nintendo franchises. I’m really happy to see the franchise soar so high! Alice and Rina are having a blast together
I mean, the language is based off Japanese base characters. It would be like making a language off the English alphabet: it would be gibberish saying each of the letters out loud, but you can still say each of the letters.
As long as the beats are hot and the melodies are on point, you can get away with saying anything you like.... Just look at a lot of contemporary Hip-Hop.
Seeing Alice doing Marina's voice like that at the end was amazing to watch. Also, #47 Onward is the most beautiful song in the Splatoon Franchise. I already lost track of how many times I listened to it.
It's good, but it lacks weight because of how bad Side Order was. Doesn't compare to all the other ending credits songs because of that (plus some of the other songs are just straight up better lol)
But guys side order has 0 impact on the splatoon series 😭 nothing happens on the outside and everything's fake, all the music and bosses as perfectly designed as they are have no story aspects

Every Splatoon CD so far has included parts in the booklet listing not just every song's composers, but their individual performers as well.
I really love that they used real instruments when they could've easily gone with synth. The difference might not always stand out, but when you listen for it, you realize how much better it sounds. I hope they'll still be showing us behind-the-scenes footage like this in Splatoon 4, I love it so much
For it being electronic music, I would've thought synthetic strings would be used for "Onward". Nintendo really recorded live strings for that song. That's going the extra mile. And it is still funny how this absolute gibberish is able to come out sounding like beautiful heartfelt lyrics being passionately sung.
Alice and Itourina truly make Off the Hook special, they're Pearl & Marina irl for sure. I also find it adorable at how they both happily jumped/danced to the beat while they were resting during that one part in We're So Back, it makes me smile to see them and/or the other idol VA's enjoy themselves during short little videos like these everytime! I'm also glad they included #47 onward and included Marina's high-note solo part, it still gives me goosebumps no matter how much I listen to it. Onward was as much of a hit as Into the Light was during the credits in OE. NINTENDO NEVER FAILS TO DISAPPOINT WITH THE SPLATOON CONTENT YALL
The physical release of Ordertune (Splatoon music from mid-2023 onwards, primarily Side Order and Grand Festival but also some stuff before it) comes out before the end of the year, I wouldn't be surprised if those songs were added to Nintendo Music at the same time or a bit afterwards!
Yeah, there are a lot of Splatoon songs missing from the Nintendo Music app at the moment. I'm sure they're going to add the missing songs eventually (along with other Nintendo songs for that matter).
It's always so fascinating to see these behind-the-scenes, very fascinating! I wish we could see "Amalgamania - Sashimori" or " Yoko & the Gold Bazookas - Three-Horn Circus" performances next. Keep it up, Nintendo!
Alice and Itourina did a Out Of This World job singing the songs in Splatoon 3 Side Order. Honestly in my opinion Onward is a True Successor to Octo Expansion Into The Light.

It's always so fun watching the Behind the Scenes videos and getting the art books Nintendo puts out, seeing all the work art and music-wise that's involved in creating the games we enjoy. Off the Hook's probably my favorite band in the franchise so far. Alice's vocals are just amazing and her vocal range is super impressive imo with all the high highs and low lows she can hit. I can't wait to be able to listen to these songs in the app and listen to the new music to come in the next set of Splatoon games
Nintendo really respects us with the quality of their musical productions in general : so much thanks for that ! Highlight them with the app is a good move for the brand !
47 onward always makes me emotional hearing it, seeing that it wasn't synth strings and was actually performed with an orchestra makes me actually cry. Splatoon was my childhood game, and it's sad to see it end, but I'm glad I was a part of it.
