My brother passed away this year 5 days before he was supposed turn 21, he never made it to the final splatfest with me but he would’ve absolutely chosen team past. He was one who got Splatoon 1 on the wii u and if he had never gotten it, I wouldn’t be here. It’s now my turn to keep his legacy alive and keep playing all future iterations. Thank you for everything Splatoon 3, fastest 2 years of my life.

This is emotional, I started my Splatoon adventure in 2015, when I was 9 years old, and now it’s 2024, and I’m 18 years old, and it has been a journey to see how far this franchise has come in just 9 years, I’m so happy this franchise is still going today, and hope to see more in the future
I really mean it. Thank you Splatoon. If I never tried out this game on my crusty Wii U back in late 2016.. I wouldn't have been here today, admiring the memories of our previous Splatfests, and I wouldn't have got Splatoon 3. I wouldn't have played Side Order, or Octo Expansion, and all the other wonderful story modes. This franchise truly changed me, and I don't know where I would be without it. ❤

I missed every splatfest before the grand fest due to either not having the games or being busy, but I set aside this entire weekend to just play Splatoon. That experience, whether it was playing in the actual event or just listening to the concerts… it was magical and made me feel nostalgic for a series I’m relatively new to. Thank you to the devs for the last 9 years of Splatoon, and here’s to many more!
Same dude, same! I'm new into the world of Splatoon, but I bought Splatoon 3 for the Grand Festival and for the experience of playing the game for the first time and it was so much fun!!
I missed so many of them due to becoming an adult and just losing my free time. But wow this game has made such an impact on my life and it was so fun playing Grand Festival!!!!

You’ll never truly know how much Splatoon as a series has inspired me. I picked up Splatoon in the 5th grade, now it’s my last year of high school. Splatoon inspired me to go into digital media, and now that career path is about to open up to me. I'm not even a huge Splatoon player, but I still remember how fun it was to jump into the game when there was a splatfest going on, and you see all this fan art and competitive spirit between teams to try and get the win for their side in what's essentially a light hearted poll question. Good times.
My partner and i started playing Splatoon 1 back in 2015. Our first Splatfest was Pirates vs Ninjas and both of us were hooked. We spent weeks switching off the WiiU just to have turns playing. Both of us played the Grandfest and like. Almost every Splatfest thia time around. And it's safe to say this will continue being a staple for us. I've got such a fondness for this series. So thank you for just existing. It means a lot to me

It's been 9 years.... I was 9 years old when cuttlefish recruited me to save the great zapfish for the very first time. I'm 18 and I've saved him and the world multiple times. And had a lot of fun along the way. Thank you guys for everything... I'm happy to be here as I'm staring in Awe that I got to have these great moments.
I was 13 when I bought splatoon 1 in 2016 and although I played 1 splatfest which was the last one of callie and Marie I saw that I started to like the franchise I bought 2 in 2018 I played about 6 or 7 splatfests and I enjoyed it a lot. I bought 3 two days after its release and played 18 of the 19 splatfests.

I remember on February 2021 watching the direct and seeing Splatoon 3 for the first time. It was so insane.. The fact that was 3 years ago blows my mind and Splatoon in general has changed my life, thank you for everything.
It was everything i wanted and more. Still can't believe we have all 3 cities in one game. and they really went all out during this Grand Splatfest, I actually go a bit teary-eyed seeing every idol actually perform all of their songs. AND THEY LET US CHEER AND EVERYTHING
As somebody who has played Splatoon 3 since its release, the memories throughout this video suddenly flowed back to me. I lost the game a couple of times (which I couldn't experience every single Splatfest) but the ones I did experience were some of the most fun times I've ever had. I remember two years ago, the me from that long ago wouldn't have seen this day coming. But now, the day has arrived. I will love this game forever, and I hope the franchise continues to see the light of day.
I cried watching this, after all these years, after the things we went through, the fights between idols, the "lose streak" and unfunny jokes through most of the game's life-span. Now we are here, enjoying the last moments of this game, thanks for everything...

Splatoon is not just a game, it is a part of my life, and although I am young, I know that, despite every bad or good decision they make, I will continue to love this saga. This series has been with me through some of my toughest times. I started with 2, and I've moved houses 4 times since them, dealing with both my school life and my horrendous personal life. Splatoon was there for all of it. Thank you, Nintendo.
Out of the nine years of Splatoon I've played, Splatoon 3 has probably been the most fun. In just these past two years, I've made so many cool new friends and accomplished so many things I've never thought possible before. Splatoon is more than just a video game to me. I am genuinely shocked past won I never thought we would win I’m so proud and happy as someone who’s participated in Callie vs Marie it has me in tears I got splatoon 1 so late and never got to actually PLAY any splatfests except vote for the final fest I went on vacation during the time and barley knew splatoon 2 in the golden era now I finally get to grow up with splatoon 3 and maybe in a year or more to come this will get more nostalgic
There were some god tier splatoon gamers that absolutely dominated the battles for team past (guessing since they played during splatoon 1). Still had a great time and won my first 100x battle for team present ❤️🩵
Fought like heck for team past. I have never cared as much about a Splatfest theme as much as this one, but I would've been happy whoever won, I love all the games. I have played since the first testfire in Splatoon 1. Loved it all the way back during its first Nintendo Direct. Went out and bought a Wii U for it, even as a kid with heavily limited savings, despite recognizing it was a deeply struggling console. I imagine their are other players like me that are skilled fps/tps players now after all these years; probably a high concentration in team past that came out to battle. I am a Masters PC Overwatch player too so I imagine some of those skills helped a bit.
As someone who represented team present just because of Pearl and Marina, I kept getting into matches with "Past Ruler +10" players. Not to say I didn't win a lot, but when it came to the 10x or more, usually I lost
It felt like this last Splatfest was going to be more of a popularity contest and people love Marie and Callie the most so I had a strong feeling we'd win. Either the Squid Sisters or Off the Hook

I also didn't have a switch until last year, and even wii u or other console when switch not exist yet, and even now don't have a chance to play Splatoon, and all of that because of being heavily struggled on money, living in poor family, it's a miracle that i've finally got my switch at all after 8-9 years of waiting to buy recent nintendo console, which was wii u back then, but, before now, for all that time i haven't enough money to buy even a wii u

You know what. When all is said and done, I’m glad I was able to be there for the games’ swan song this time. I missed Splatocalypse back in 2019 and to this day I’m still annoyed that I was unable to play it. So when 3 launched I swore to play the Final Fest this time around, no matter what. And I’m glad to say, Grand Festival surpassed my expectations in every conceivable way, and made me feel like I made up for missing Splatoon 2’s Finale all those years ago. Splatfests werent my favorite thing in terms of just overall gameplay but the environment Nintendo provides EVERY. TIME. always has been phenomenal. Splatoon 3 shows they continued to outdo themselves all the way up to the breathtaking Grand Festival. Easily the most fun I have had with the game. Thank you Nintendo for a simply unforgettable experience.

Nintendo ya did it again, I wake up find a notification and say "hu, it from nintendo" and I realized and nearly scream "ITS ABOUT SPLATOON!" I watch it, and start crying my eyes out and start thinking of the start of MY splatoon journey, and a little 8 year old pops up in my mind, and I smile from ear to ear, thank you nintendo fo the best game I've ever played.
I know that the community has its ups and downs, but this franchise will truly mean something very important to me and I'm glad I was able to fully experience the whole thing from start to finish this time as well.

I remember when this game came out I thought "wait what's different between this and Splatoon 2" but then months passed and I realized that the amount of free content this game has given us was quite insane. I spent over 660h on this game, always trying to grind catalog lol but it was fun. Me and my friend rooted for team past and we even won a 333x battle yesterday, nonetheless that was the best final fest we got. The plaza, the map, the music, everything was a combination of all 3 games, enhancing that "3" symbol the game is trying to convey. Thank you Nintendo and Splatoon 3

I remember having a blast playing the splatfest world premiere when it first dropped. Then when Splatoon 3 officially released, I bought it and it was the first Splatoon game I ever owned. Even though I had a handful of Switch games before I bought Splatoon 3, it quickly became the second game in my library with the most hours of play time. Farewell Splatoon 3, I had my ups and downs with you over the course of your life cycle, but as the very first game that got me into this series and seeing it through until now when I’ve graduated from uni feels surreal. I love splatoon so much. Other games have live events but those are usually to be exciting. Not that this wasn’t exciting. But it really celebrates what made it special. It makes you cry and remember what made the series so special. As someone who was on team present, I’m kind of happy past one. Without the past of this series, I wouldn’t have had as good of a time with the grand festival as I did. There were references everywhere, characters in the venue, and the music was fantastic full of motifs. I wish this never had to end. But all good things have to. I love splatoon so much. I love this community so much. Thank you splatoon. And thanks to all of you.
It's been 9 years. It's been 7 years since I first fell in love with this beautiful franchise, since I fell in love with the art, the characters, the music (and the story behind each of the bands), the plot, the raw, unfiltered attitude and underlying themes. I've never been dedicated to a franchise so hard in my life. Thank you, Splatoon, for my childhood.
Bought Splatoon 2 in 2017 and have been "hooked" ever since. A lot of has happened since then (bought a house, both of my parents have died and changed jobs) but Splatoon has always been something to look forward to when I have some free time. Can't wait until Splat4 arrives.
I’ve never before seen a game with so much love put into it. The sheer amount of passion that went into every detail of this splatfest: the new arrangements of all the songs, the new map, the new stage, all the little Easter eggs like acht and such, and the fact that the background instruments are animated very well, especially considering they’re being played by jellyfish. I really think we’ll struggle to see a more devoted dev team than those who worked on this game. Thank you monolith soft.
Even though i wasn't here at the start of splatoon only discovering it at the third splatoon 3 splatfest this was such a cool and amazing experience and i hope that splatoon will continue to go on even greater, im not good at these emotional stuff but this game means so much to me.I will now go get the tissues :,)

I really mean it. Thank you Splatoon. If I never tried out this game on my crusty Wii U back in late 2016.. I wouldn't have been here today, admiring the memories of our previous Splatfests, and I wouldn't have got Splatoon 3. I wouldn't have played Side Order, or Octo Expansion, and all the other wonderful story modes. This franchise truly changed me, and I don't know where I would be without it. ❤

I missed every splatfest before the grand fest due to either not having the games or being busy, but I set aside this entire weekend to just play Splatoon. That experience, whether it was playing in the actual event or just listening to the concerts… it was magical and made me feel nostalgic for a series I’m relatively new to. Thank you to the devs for the last 9 years of Splatoon, and here’s to many more!

You’ll never truly know how much Splatoon as a series has inspired me. I picked up Splatoon in the 5th grade, now it’s my last year of high school. Splatoon inspired me to go into digital media, and now that career path is about to open up to me. I'm not even a huge Splatoon player, but I still remember how fun it was to jump into the game when there was a splatfest going on, and you see all this fan art and competitive spirit between teams to try and get the win for their side in what's essentially a light hearted poll question. Good times.
My partner and i started playing Splatoon 1 back in 2015. Our first Splatfest was Pirates vs Ninjas and both of us were hooked. We spent weeks switching off the WiiU just to have turns playing.
Both of us played the Grandfest and like. Almost every Splatfest thia time around. And it's safe to say this will continue being a staple for us. I've got such a fondness for this series.

I was 13 when I bought splatoon 1 in 2016 and although I played 1 splatfest which was the last one of callie and Marie I saw that I started to like the franchise I bought 2 in 2018 I played about 6 or 7 splatfests and I enjoyed it a lot. I bought 3 two days after its release and played 18 of the 19 splatfests.
this series has raised me in a way nothing else could replicate

I remember on February 2021 watching the direct and seeing Splatoon 3 for the first time. It was so insane.. The fact that was 3 years ago blows my mind and Splatoon in general has changed my life, thank you for everything.

As somebody who has played Splatoon 3 since its release, the memories throughout this video suddenly flowed back to me. I lost the game a couple of times (which I couldn't experience every single Splatfest) but the ones I did experience were some of the most fun times I've ever had. I remember two years ago, the me from that long ago wouldn't have seen this day coming. But now, the day has arrived.
I will love this game forever, and I hope the franchise continues to see the light of day.
I cried watching this, after all these years, after the things we went through, the fights between idols, the "lose streak" and unfunny jokes through most of the game's life-span. Now we are here, enjoying the last moments of this game, thanks for everything...

In just these past two years, I've made so many cool new friends and accomplished so many things I've never thought possible before. Splatoon is more than just a video game to me. I am genuinely shocked past won I never thought we would win I’m so proud and happy as someone who’s participated in Callie vs Marie it has me in tears I got splatoon 1 so late and never got to actually PLAY any splatfests except vote for the final fest I went on vacation during the time and barley knew splatoon 2 in the golden era now I finally get to grow up with splatoon 3 and maybe in a year or more to come this will get more nostalgic
There were some god tier splatoon gamers that absolutely dominated the battles for team past (guessing since they played during splatoon 1). Still had a great time and won my first 100x battle for team present ❤️🩵
Fought like heck for team past. I have never cared as much about a Splatfest theme as much as this one, but I would've been happy whoever won, I love all the games.
I have played since the first testfire in Splatoon 1. Loved it all the way back during its first Nintendo Direct. Went out and bought a Wii U for it, even as a kid with heavily limited savings, despite recognizing it was a deeply struggling console. I imagine their are other players like me that are skilled fps/tps players now after all these years; probably a high concentration in team past that came out to battle. I am a Masters PC Overwatch player too so I imagine some of those skills helped a bit.
As someone who represented team present just because of Pearl and Marina, I kept getting into matches with "Past Ruler +10" players. Not to say I didn't win a lot, but when it came to the 10x or more, usually I lost

You know what. When all is said and done, I’m glad I was able to be there for the games’ swan song this time.
I missed Splatocalypse back in 2019 and to this day I’m still annoyed that I was unable to play it. So when 3 launched I swore to play the Final Fest this time around, no matter what.
And I’m glad to say, Grand Festival surpassed my expectations in every conceivable way, and made me feel like I made up for missing Splatoon 2’s Finale all those years ago.

Splatfests werent my favorite thing in terms of just overall gameplay but the environment Nintendo provides EVERY. TIME. always has been phenomenal. Splatoon 3 shows they continued to outdo themselves all the way up to the breathtaking Grand Festival. Easily the most fun I have had with the game. Nintendo ya did it again, I wake up find a notification and say "hu, it from nintendo" and I realized and nearly scream "ITS ABOUT SPLATOON!" I watch it, and start crying my eyes out and start thinking of the start of MY splatoon journey, and a little 8 year old pops up in my mind, and I smile from ear to ear, thank you nintendo fo the best game I've ever played.

I remember when this game came out I thought "wait what's different between this and Splatoon 2" but then months passed and I realized that the amount of free content this game has given us was quite insane. I spent over 660h on this game, always trying to grind catalog lol but it was fun. Me and my friend rooted for team past and we even won a 333x battle yesterday, nonetheless that was the best final fest we got. The plaza, the map, the music, everything was a combination of all 3 games, enhancing that "3" symbol the game is trying to convey. Thank you Nintendo and Splatoon 3

I remember having a blast playing the splatfest world premiere when it first dropped. Then when Splatoon 3 officially released, I bought it and it was the first Splatoon game I ever owned. Even though I had a handful of Switch games before I bought Splatoon 3, it quickly became the second game in my library with the most hours of play time. Two years happened in two seconds I remember on my first Splatoon three splat fest it was spicy versus sweet versus sour And I remember beating the story mode I remember decorating my locker. I remember wave one of the DLC. I remember wave 2 of the DLC I remember the final big run and I remember final fest and I realize that as the years go on it’s gotten better but it’ll always live on our hearts….forever 🥹
Farewell Splatoon 3, I had my ups and downs with you over the course of your life cycle, but as the very first game that got me into this series and seeing it through until now when I’ve graduated from uni feels surreal. Here now, looking back, is gonna feel weird but I’m so happy to be a part of a fandom that is as wonderful and wacky as I never had originally anticipated. To everyone in the Splatoon fandom, Nintendo for creating the game and for allowing me to engage in my first proper online game community… thank you. Stay fresh until the future all 🥹🫡
I started to play Splatoon when I was 5 and I have not stopped loving this game, thank you Nintendo for all of the memories I have with the 3 games. I will always remember that this game was a huge part of me and my life. You did a very good job Nintendo
I picked up this game in 2016 to help spend time with and comfort a friend who was going through a break-up.
Never imagined I'd have gotten so attached to a relatively new franchise. Making art, my own team with their own lore and all that junk. Thank you, Nintendo 💚💙❤️🖤
I love splatoon so much. Other games have live events but those are usually to be exciting. Not that this wasn’t exciting. But it really celebrates what made it special. It makes you cry and remember what made the series so special. As someone who was on team present, I’m kind of happy past one. Without the past of this series, I wouldn’t have had as good of a time with the grand festival as I did. There were references everywhere, characters in the venue, and the music was fantastic full of motifs. I wish this never had to end. But all good things have to. I love splatoon so much. I love this community so much. Thank you splatoon. And thanks to all of you.

It's been 9 years. It's been 7 years since I first fell in love with this beautiful franchise, since I fell in love with the art, the characters, the music (and the story behind each of the bands), the plot, the raw, unfiltered attitude and underlying themes. I've never been dedicated to a franchise so hard in my life. Thank you, Splatoon, for my childhood.
What a Grand Finale to a wonderful game
Bought Splatoon 2 in 2017 and have been "hooked" ever since. A lot of has happened since then (bought a house, both of my parents have died and changed jobs) but Splatoon has always been something to look forward to when I have some free time. Can't wait until Splat4 arrives.

I’ve never before seen a game with so much love put into it. The sheer amount of passion that went into every detail of this splatfest: the new arrangements of all the songs, the new map, the new stage, all the little Easter eggs like acht and such, and the fact that the background instruments are animated very well, especially considering they’re being played by jellyfish. I really think we’ll struggle to see a more devoted dev team than those who worked on this game. Thank you monolith soft.
Even though i wasn't here at the start of splatoon only discovering it at the third splatoon 3 splatfest this was such a cool and amazing experience and i hope that splatoon will continue to go on even greater, im not good at these emotional stuff but this game means so much to me.I will now go get the tissues :,)
