I think the reason that screamer invocation auto hits is because it is not just a single screamer. The Infernal Master, in my head, summons a torrent of screamers wreathed in magical fire like the kind on his model. So it's like a meat thrower. Except daemons aren't meat.
If you have 10 points leftover, you can put ahriman on a disk for added movement and an extra wound. Its not super impactful but ive found it makes it easier to position the unit and its basically free if you arent using the points on anything else
Pre-nerf, you would have had an extra 100-150 pts or so. So two-three units of Exalted Tzaangor, or a Rhino and one, or two Rhinos, or squeak in a Forgefiend or Mutalith, or some Flamers and a couple of Spawn, or an Exalted Sorc on Disc, or blah blah blah. Which looks balanced, considering every other A->B tier army list out there. Thousand Sons just don't get enough "stuff" these days, and even if this list typifies it, there are worse examples. They really didn't need the points nerf.
How about Infernal Master being in 10 Man Rubric squad (all bolters) hiding behind LoS blockers, and benefiting from „bombardment” warp sight stratagem. turning all bolters into psychic weapons and extending their range as well as Arcane Vortex Infernal Master seems dope, like a mini terminator bomb, cheaper and harder to get to. Other thing I like to do is get regular sorcerer with LoFL, in 5 Rubrics, use him as you line of sight for warpsight but also alongside MVB u get 2x Doombolt at 36” Hard to strike back at this combo, and do some work
warp sight doesn't work like that. it's a buff to models with the psyker keyword. this is in part why ppl thought the index was broken, but no you can't do that
Even assuming that combo worked(Warp Sight, doesn't as mentioned already), do you play matches with infinite CP or something? Just casually suggesting a 4 CP combo.

So you can use the strategem on the unit, one model in the unit must be able to see the enemy unit to use it, and then the Psykers in that unit can indirect fire their psychic attacks - Leader plus Aspiring Sorc, for example. Either using 2 Command Points or 6 Cabal Points to cast. Very weird.
@@rustyshackleford3078 Wait: Until the end of the phase, each time a friendly THOUSAND SONS PSYKER model makes an attack with a Psychic weapon that targets that enemy unit, that attack has the [INDIRECT FIRE] and [IGNORES COVER] abilities. It sounds like all the psyker models in the army can psychic shoot with indirect fire? Like you just need a spotter psyker and a target?
@@mkulchar Bringing just 5 makes them a very inefficient target for stratagems and rituals and makes the terminator sorcerer less valuable as well. If you bring 10, they can be very strong, but between them and Magnus that's half your army in points.
They are overpriced for what they do. While they CAN do a lot of damaage if you put a lot of resources into them, they are also decptively easy to kill for being almost 600 points for a full brick with leader@@mkulchar

It does make your entire unit weak to anti fly weapons, probably not worth it
But how many anti fly weapons are out there? I think the ms and the wound its totally worth it in 99% of match ups

No terminators? They are the bread and butter for damage. They are a must take
They are in very few of the top competitive lists nowadays, they are too expensive and you need 10 to make them worth it.
