Time is a degree of freedom wherein change happens and as such it is akin to a road wherein cars are able to move in either direction, the only restriction keeping cars moving in a singular direction would be a city ordinance which allows the cars to move in a specific direction and not the other!! The timeless theory of the universe actually makes far fewer assumptions than other theories. In the rest of physics we actually make all kinds of implicit assumptions without realizing it--such as the Newtonian notion of absolute space. When we throw these assumptions out we're left in a void with few of our intuitions intact, and things become difficult to imagine or visualize. But just because it's difficult doesn't mean it's wrong.
@@Zeuts85 also all the "interpretations" of quantum physics in which we eliminate the time-reversed part of the equations for no reason than an assumption that they're physically impossible in their implications. The transactional interpretation does not. We just can't wrap our minds around the implications. The Wheeler-Feynman absorber theory out of which the transactional interpretation was born says that all the electrons in the universe are the same one. it's mind-boggling- we are interpretive creatures and it limits us in our understanding although also helps us to understand in the first place.

The problem might be a lack of common ground regarding the word "exist" in peoples' "minds".
Lots of presumptions
The timeless theory of the universe actually makes far fewer assumptions than other theories. In the rest of physics we actually make all kinds of implicit assumptions without realizing it--such as the Newtonian notion of absolute space. When we throw these assumptions out we're left in a void with few of our intuitions intact, and things become difficult to imagine or visualize. But just because it's difficult doesn't mean it's wrong.
@@Zeuts85 also all the "interpretations" of quantum physics in which we eliminate the time-reversed part of the equations for no reason than an assumption that they're physically impossible in their implications. The transactional interpretation does not. We just can't wrap our minds around the implications. The Wheeler-Feynman absorber theory out of which the transactional interpretation was born says that all the electrons in the universe are the same one. it's mind-boggling- we are interpretive creatures and it limits us in our understanding although also helps us to understand in the first place.
simple there is no present... there is only the past and the future... what we interpret as the present does not exist it is actually the past that we are experiencing... his instant in time makes no sense.
