A tractor would probably be the easiest to use and be the most versatile for a beginner. Even with 6 acres at the homestead we got that B2150 to maintain everything and it is amazing what all you will end up using it for. If you look at buying something I would definitely recommend a tractor. Between the front end loader and the variety of 3 point hitch attachments you can get a lot done.
