Welcome to The Schmitter's 100 Acre Woods! My name is Nick, I bought this old coal property in 2018. We've been working on clearing it, creating paths, and leveling it so I can eventually build a pole barn and house. On my channel, you'll see cutting and splitting firewood, general maintenance of tractors and an RTV, and more outdoorsy adventures.

I have two of these soar chargers never worked can you show me what you did to hook up the panel to the new battery . Small red and black lead from the solar panel to the small printed circuit board two lead off circuit board to the power . I’m figuring both read leads go to the + and two black leads go to the negative of the battery . And we don’t use the printed circuit board any longer is that what you did ? Thanks
Nice stuff!
I gotta get one of those bush hogs - makes quick time on trail building
If you have a lot of underbrush, with small trees and thorns it is an excellent tool.
Very organized and informative👍 Happy Halloween Nick from all of us over here...Looks like you dressed up as a good 🥚egg today. 🎃🦇👻🕸🕷🍬🍁🍂🍁🍂💀👁🧛♂⚰🪦🌝🐺🏚
How good is that tractor for cutting large fields with brush hog ? Looks like a work horse
It can handle a 5ft brush hog. If it is a hot day it has some cooling issues, but I think we may need to do a radiator flush. Otherwise this thing is a beast. It has been well used and abused.
Cool tool - for not much money - added to my wish list - thanks man!
That's a bolt not a nut. I have never seen that on a wheel. Interesting.
It seems like most European cars have lug bolts instead of nuts but I am not sure why. It has its advantages and disadvantages.
A family affair 👍
Q
Nick, do you foresee adding a skid steer to your lineup at the 100 acres one day??
While they are handy, I don't see getting one. The M62 is a more versatile machine.
Beautiful property
I cut poplar a lot because it is abundant on the homestead here. Good job. Love our LX150. Great mill
It's starting to look like a park over there.
We see one of these at the Windfield Steam show each year
Ended up using some poplar that was cut maybe 6 months ago on the mill shed - that stuff is tough - difficult to run deck screws through - gonna make great chicken coop lumber, for sure
what exactly is your dad doing @ 16:00?
Woodmizer recommends using automatic transmission fluid to wipe down the bed rails where the carriage rides along. It's stops rusting but doesn't leave too much oil that all the saw dust sticks to it.
great vid bud, is sawdust good for muddy areas?
Thanks! It is a good short term solution. It can become a bit of a mess long term but it can help in areas you walk and don't have equipment.
That stump grinder is going to be really cool👍
Is your wood burner inside or outside of your house can you do a review on it if you have time.
It is an indoor wood burning furnace. I can work on doing a review.
Quite the haul!
The piano music in the background is really annoying so I would leave it out next time 🏴👍🏻
All that wood and the property owner has a new road, win win.
a lot of work, Some good looking logs
Team work, man and machine 👍
All was running smooth until it wasn't 🤨
The one good thing about having those old mining trenches is that you have a place to throw garbage brush and trees👍 Burning or hauling would be a pain.
Recently purchased the same mill. So far we like it. Some issue with set work but the mill runs good.
Lots of work with the tractor, nice job.
please get rid of the noise. music?
I like your content. The audio isn't the best. There is too much machinery running in the bsckground to hear you.
Thank you for the feedback I will work on tweaking the audio.
Sawed up a nice 16" x 12' southern yellow into some 2x12s this past weekend - that stuff cuts smooth - and a lot easier than hickory, walnut, and ash I've cut in the past
Nice! Yes it is by far the easiest thing we have milled. Poplar is a close second.
Wow lots of wood salvaged.👍
Inch by inch👍
About to head to the property for some Debby cleanup with the York - those things are great
I am putting together mine now and had the same issue leveling where I had to loosen the bed sections because they pinched upward. And the drive motor on mine was wired backwards must be common issues
Yeah seems the drive motor issue could be part of the QA check, but it is an easy enough fix. And the bed sections can be finicky but once they are together it's not bad.
Nice looking trailer the poly-pipe was a good idea.
I think you will get some good use out of it.
Could picture a sort of L shaped ramp/slide on the tail end, to keep the tail from raising up while loading from the back end - sort of like on those heavy equipment trailers. Looks great!
We have a couple of thoughts similar to that to help the loading issues.
That table is 👍Really nice setup.

Nice!
Great job👍
That trailer is a beast!
We tend to over build things but it should do everything we want and more!
You see werewolves in those woods often? 🐺🌕
Thankfully no, LOL
"Do not try this at home moment"🤗
u c snakes in those woods often?🐍
Not every time we are there but fairly often. Typically just black snakes but there are copperheads and instances of some rattlesnakes in the area.
Enjoy watching the M62 at work and its capabilities. Reason you choose to do all this work with it over a small/medium 20k- 30k lb size excavator? 100 acres is a lot of land. Think to myself this is more reliable and affordable than a larger excavator.
It is a lot more versatile having both the loader and backhoe. Cost is another big factor. Also the M62 can be trailered with a standard 3/4 or 1 ton pickup. And since we aren't at the 100 acres full time we are trailering it often.
Very nicely done!
nice👍
Do you ever cut wood with an axe?🤔🪵🪓
Not very often. With so much firewood, it is much quicker to use the splitter. And most of the wood doesn't have straight grain that splits easily.
