- Here is a quick video that could help with you with wall fishing lines. We are going to wall fish multiple lines. Data Lines, Phone Lines and Coax RG6 cable. In this video you will see tech creating a path and cutting out wall plate outlet measuring it with a mud ring. Please comment if you want to see more of these videos.
What is the name of the job position?
No anchors, no labels, in an office building there should be a place where all connections meet, keystone wall plate used but not properly terminated to or even the right one used. I'd be numb with anger to come in here for a trouble call.
Love how he did his entire job with his pack still on his back…👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾bravo sir!
I did hvac, and was picky with my work also it had to be spotless! I love the end result of the work you did on that wall beautiful!!!!!!!!
Its better woking for a structural cabling company you learn a lot more i learned how to do this the first week on the job
I’ve been doing this job for about five years, but I learned something here.
Nice video bro.thnx
Ur not supposed to connect RG59 to modem lol
Yup. RG6 should be connected lol.
That's not RG59, it's RG6 plenum cable. Ask a commercial tech for a piece of plenum cable. It almost feels fake and plasticy, and to the untrained tech, looks and feels like RG59.
Seems easy work
Why can’t you lay the cables on the ceiling tile or insulation? I do it all the time lol
It's a fire safety code violation, you're supposed to use plenum cable/zip ties in commercial environments when running lines above ceiling tiles or in walls. No one actually gives a shit and will ever check though, so keep doing what you're doing. The only time it actually matters, is if you're in a new building prewiring and it's still subject to safety inspections before the building is sold/leased and ready for tenants. The building contractor will be on your ass to make sure it's done right for inspections. If you're just a tech doing a post-wire install, absolutely no one gives two fucks about it lol.
You may come across an overzealous building owner who knows his shit, or even a low-voltage technician onsite to watch your work and demand you do it right, but you're likely to encounter a situation like that once or twice in a lifetime.
There's been times when I did it 'right', but most times you just don't have the fucking time to hang all those hangers. I might put one like he did where the splitter is at just to make it easier for future troubleshooting, so you aren't digging around in insulation trying to find the splitter, but other than that, fuck that shit.
very well done!
Yeah lets see if you can fish it through half way down the wall that has another horizontal 2X4 beam with out cutting the dry wall. Goodluck
Prometheus Alpha it’s possible ive done it took me one fay but i did it at the end of the day
@@RAZZZENGANN Possible but not practical. Takes too much time. Plus in some cases you need to cut through the wall. Our company just doesnt deal with that. Whew
Prometheus Alpha very true
clean work. well done
How do you get into this field.
Been in the business 10.5 years...not making a jack at the wall and just running cables direct is L-A-Z-Y. Spend the extra time to make the jacks and make the patch cables. Your customers will thank you for a better looking job, and you'll feel better about it as well.
It's better without the barrel
One less failure point and easier to troubleshoot
But looks like absolute crap.
@@IHunger4Battle1 eh...yes and no.
Honestly it depends on how much time you spend on cable management. Honestly keystones with the way this guy ran those cables would have looked much worse lol. Running the cables direct like he did here COULD have been done so much cleaner, but yes, usually you want to use the proper keystones. There have been situations where running direct just looked better though, but definitely not the norm.
Are you guys paid hourly??? Or piece work?
So how much time do you usually get for a job like this
charter contractor?
great
looks nice, just not a fan of the equipment on the dry wall like that.
Sir please please please please help me
