well done to you - being transparent is a good thing, don't be silly, your fine, I live in London, always have, I find it bloody expensive, dear place to live in, thanks
Thanks for the transparency and honestly you shouldn’t restrict yourself (majorly) from going out and having fun. My only question is even with the money you make from your job and TH-cam how did you “calculate” or budget the money you saved up when moving? I’m assuming you got a decent reserve given you haven’t felt the need to restrict yourself (no judgment) but at what point do you think you’ll need to plan out your expenses? Or are your expenses evening out with your revenue?
Good question. It was really hard to decide how much money I’d need in London. What I did was calculate how much I typically spent at home, rounded it up for the exchange rate, and then decided how much wiggle room I thought I’d need for other expenses. While I don’t have a strict budget, I do know how much I have saved and how long it has to last (until my master’s program is over), so I have an idea of what I can spend. It is kind of scary to spend money without much of an income. I just remind myself that it’s (hopefully) temporary and I’m (hopefully) increasing my earning potential once I’ve finished my program. I’m very lucky and my parents let me live with them for several years while I was working full-time after college, which helped me save money. Between that, selling my car, and a student loan I’m able to finance this year long program.
I noticed ur Kentucky sweatshirt you had on at the end of the video? Are you from there cuz it would be cool if u was since that’s we’re I’m from myself lol
Hoping someone out there finds this helpful!

if you don't mind my asking, how much did you save up before moving to London for London?
Did you take the COVID vaccine?
Any place in Uni outside London is cheaper its a rip off and most brits don't like the place.
Shockingly frugal
Wow. I pay £6 a month for 2 g and unlimited calls and texts. You need to change your plan .
I definitely overestimated how much data I’d need.
