How does this video not have triple the views, I’m moments in and there has been so much useful info. I have a ACL recon coming up (quad graft) in 2 weeks. I’m very active and I’m hoping to get back to my routines quickly.
Tore my ACL 2 weeks ago and considering my options. Active 27 yr old that plays soccer multiple times a week and does big mountain skiing in the winters. One Dr wants to do hamstring graft and another one quad. Idk what to do
Essentially in the same situation as you except I’m 5 years younger. I’m getting my surgery in 2 weeks, chose the quad graft. Terrified to say the least but going to do whatever in my power to recover well and fast. Goodluck with your choice. All my docs said quad since age and retear rate based on literature
I tore my ACL fully in April, rehabbed and was back to playing competitive sport by August. Still opted to have surgery to ensure long-term health benefits and results. Every graft choice will be different per person but pre surgery work is also important in finalizing your decision.
Have a 14 year old daughter going on for this ACL and her surgeon has mentioned that the growth plate and a shorter leg as a risk , not seeing any other doctors mention this with younger youth- can you offer any information with this as a possibility?
33,female, not professional athlete, just would like to play in basket matches every weekend with friends. Which kind of graft is recommended? Is the synthetic ligament LARS a good option? Thanks a lot!

This is a great informative video. Not enough videos regarding rehabilitation from quad graft ACL surgery.
