    Suvarnabhumi airport
    In this video we explain you how to use the Airport Rail link in Bangkok, Thailand.
    There are a few ways to get into the city. You can take the taxi from the airport, there are mini vans and busses and then there is the Airport Rail link.
    So what should you choose? Of course it is totally up to you, but we recommend taking the Airport Rail Link. It is cheaper, it is faster and it is more eco friendly.
    When you travel with 3 or more people. Sharing the cost of a taxi is cheaper than everyone buying a ticket for the Airport Rail Link. So a taxi is a good option, unless you are travelling during rush hour, which we strongly advise against.
    This video is part of a web series about Bangkok and in this series we show you how to get around in Bangkok, Thailand.

    Looking for an authentic and unique adventure? Co van Kessel bike tours and boat tours provides a refreshing alternative to the tired tourist experience. We do not battle the crowds at clichéd destinations promoted in guide books, but turn your attention to quaint local communities and charming excursions into the fascinating lifestyle and culture of real Thai people. Every day is different and every tour is a surprise as we focus not on destinations, but lose ourselves in the enchantment of the journey itself.
    Co van Kessel, an innovative and adventurous Dutchman, pioneered bicycle tours in Bangkok more than 30 years ago. As a longtime resident and self-professed lover of Bangkok, he understood very well the picture of accelerated urban development (gridlocked traffic, concrete towers, and choking pollution) that has plagued the recent image of the city. He also had a hunch that this was not what Bangkok or Thailand was all about.
    Making it his goal to re-discover Bangkok, Co spent thousands of hours on his mountain bike exploring the vast network of local streets, alleyways, footpaths and canals between the main urban thoroughfares. What he found, lurking behind the facade of modernization, were hidden worlds of peace and tranquility, a picture of “real” Thai life that has remained unchanged for countless decades; an identity of a city that is true to the Thai people, yet largely unknown to outsiders.
    Whether it’s the colorful sights and smells of the local markets, the fascinating life of locals along the canals, or the surprising existence of bountiful green belts, Co discovered the essence of what makes Bangkok one of Asia’s most captivating cities. Since then, it has been his mission to share these discoveries with the rest of the world.
    What we do
    Our mission at Co van Kessel Bangkok Tours is to provide our guests with a singularly unique travel experience in Thailand. All our tours use Co’s extensive topographical knowledge of the greater Bangkok area as well as his keen eye for the interesting to take you where nobody else can or will.
    We aim not to bore you with talk, but to immerse you in an experience where your individual fascinations emerge.
    Bicycles, boats, and our feet become the tools we use to gain access to the previously inaccessible, behind-the-scenes lifestyle of the Thai. Here the roots of an ancient culture will become evident in a way you never could have imagined.

    Best way to avoid queing if you want a taxi into town, is go to departures and get in a taxi dropping someone of, has always worked for me.

    Thank you for showing the rail system. It wasn’t completed the last time I was there. One real important thing to take into consideration is how much luggage you have. If you had three bags it would be better to just take a taxi or your hotel van. God bless

    • @chatnarongsonetirot
      @chatnarongsonetirot 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you could carry baggage or few check back, you could use airport link.
      Taxi normally use propane tank in the trunk and not many space for storages. Basically no storage in the trunk.
      If you would have to use airport VAN if more people. Ticket is standard. that you could buy counter. You tell them where you want to go.
      They tell you EXACT price,. you pay there. Then they will assign TAXI or VAN for you. No negotiation or get rip off by driver. Airport driver have to conform with regulation. But good to snap picture of driver information inside taxi (just in case) for complaint if any issues.
      I had carry one and 2 checked back and have no issues to use airport link.
      Change money to local currency next to airport link. Ticket is cheap.
      elevator is at every train station. Security is good to help customer compare to Washington DC, USA where I lived.

    You should tell foreigner that money exchange (super Rich) is there in Basement floor next to airport link to change money to local currency. Super Rich is one of the currency exchange with good rate. Better than the bank of course.

    Thank you very much for this video. One big concern of mine remains unanswered though. Once arrived at the station, how to get down to the street level with big/heavy luggage?? To i have to use the stairs..or is there an escalator??? And if i want to move to the BTS..same question..can it be done with a bit heavy luggage? My destination would be the river station of the BTS in order to take a boat to the millennium hilton. Thank you very much in advance!

    • @k9companion231
      @k9companion231 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      With big heavy luggage a taxi or hotel van would be better.

      @@k9companion231 I haven't been to Bangkok yet, but I know that in London using their narrow escalators having more than one bag is going to annoy people. People in hurry like to rush past on the left.😂

      The end of the line, ARL Phraya Thai station , connect with BTS by skywalk at same level. At
      BTS, from ticketing level to platform level must use stairs, no escalator or elevator available..

    Please do you know when you reach the end of the Airport Link in BKK, is it easy to get to the ground level with luggage to get a taxi or do you have to carry your bags down many stairs?? A lift of escalator would be ideal. Thank you so much

      BANGKOK AIRPORT is modern and free cart to carry suitcase. when you pick up suitcase at carousal.
      In USA, you have to pay for cart . Use elevator to for from floor to floor or escalator (OK with cart)

    The last one I met there was a british guy waiting for 16 hours in the airport in the fear of getting lost, he was obviously not he brightest candle on the cake, but really ? And BKK is easy to navigate, try it in a smaller chinese city with no map and no one speaking english ;-). There are people who don't find their own asses without someone showing them. Thanks for the video, no harm done to BKK, it is already full of dumbos, I never stay longer than 24h there.
