I’ve had the Schwab Debit card for more than 10 years and it is the absolute best way to get cash when traveling abroad. I travel to Japan at least once a year and I’ve never had a problem using this card at an ATM. Quick tip: Many foreign ATMs will give you the option of posting the transaction in local currency or US dollars. Always choose the local currency to get the best exchange rate.
I've had this card going on three years now. It has been the best debit card I've ever had. I like being able to hit up any ATM, knowing I will get whatever fee reimbursed at the end of the statement period. I have yet to travel internationally, but having that piece of mind of its capabilities is such a great feeling. Yay Charles Schwab!
Meadows bank in Las Vegas doesn't have foreign fees either but it's not unlimited like Schwab debit card. I think there's a limit of 3 per month. Still better than any large banks

@@skoopqueenGenerally, investing requires higher knowledge. For this reason, It's important to have a solid support structure (financial consultant) to guide you through especially in asset picking. I operate with (Regina Louise Collaro) an investment advisor who partners with a licensed wealth management firm. Impressive Stephanie! Your investment advisor seems quite skilled. I've come across success stories of individuals enhancing their financial stability through advisors. Could you provide further details about this individual?

Personally, I'm blessed and realizing I'm not the only one working with Regina Louise Collaro. I will consider myself lucky. I've been able to feed and make a living through her advice and great work. For such a person as Regina, I owe her gratitude, support and endless prayers as it is not easy to gain access to such a competent and reliable adviser. you transfer from another bank account. This charles debit card ties with a brokerage account which you use to invest and trade so you can only use ACH transfer
Soft pull for Schwab One applications. They used to do hard pulls in the past, but Charles Schwab changed the practice to do soft pull and also retroactively removed hard pulls for those affected within 2 years span. Opening a debit card application will require you to open a brokerage account as well.
I have had this debit card for over 5 years. I travel for work and the exchange rate seems quite good and amongst the best around as she said. I have been pleased over all. At the end of the month they do reimburse the ATM fees, even abroad. Over all I share her enthusiasm for this debit card, Its the only one I use. When I was mugged in Mexico recently they got the replacement debit card to me very fast and the customer service was , as always, excellent. I do recommend this debit card , agreeing with all the points she makes. Enjoy ! RM
Hmmm If you can’t deposit cash but you have two different bank accounts, can’t you just deposit your cash to let’s say Bank Of America and then transfer the money from there to Charles Schwab?
QUESTION? I recently opened a CS brokerage account because I'm moving to MX in 6 months. Most of my funds are in a money market at CS, but I keep some in the regular brokerage acct so I can get to it with my CS Visa Debt card. My question is...can I connect this acct to my 2 credit cards so I can make monthly pymts?? I do this now with my local US bank but I'll be closing that acct when I leave for MX.
Jazzy: If you have cash to deposit into this Schwab debit account, convert it into a Money Order first, which can be done for less than $1 dollar at any Walmart store, and then deposit the Money order into any ATM. No need to have another debit account card like you described in your video.
Sounds like this will be great to have along side a credit union account (no cash minimum to keep open too). Just hope transfers between that and Schwab are easy, free, and possible like between most domestic banks. Probably depends.
I thought I wasn’t going to get accepted with 0 investments as a student who’s barely trying to make it by, but I just got the card in the mail today. Definitely this one, Fidelity or Discover Debit. The customer service for all of these institutions are unmatched. Discover has treated me the best, Schwab coming in second, as soon as I tell them I’m a student, they are much nicer to me 🥴
It is precisely why I have Schwab account for the debit card for foreign travel. This card does eliminate all the fees that occur when withdrawing cash out of ATMs. Be aware to use only certified ATM machines that carry the VISA logo.
If you mostly spend time in resorts and the tourist traps, you can get away with a credit card. anyone who regularly spends a lot of time overseas knows cash is king. You need a debit card.
@@VenturewithJazzy yup agreed, you do need both. However, I have homes in several places. So my use case is kinda niche. i always go through a bit of culture shock. As I said, its more about why you are there to begin with. Tourism vs everyday living. I do not use cash in the US. Period. But I might only use credit cards 10% of the time when overseas. And that might be high. Cant speak for them but It seems like the typical shopkeeper outside of the touristy areas doesnt see the cost benefit of paying the swipe fees.
If people were SMART they would be Happy to pay all those little fees, and Get Rid of interest! Because EYE really don't find the prices of Everything Else around me getting Jacked Up all too interesting! :-(
This card is always in my wallet for worry free atm reimbursement domestically & internationally ; had it for 3 years now. For cash deposit I use Capital One 360 and transfer over some to my schwab checking

It’s hard to say which is my favorite debit card, but it’s probably a three way tie between the Schwab, Fidelity and Discover debit cards.

Awesome video and card! Do you have a referral link? Is there a sign up bonus?
Opening an account was the last exercise before leaving the country after I received the card in the mail. Nice to get reimbursed all the ATM fees.
I have the Schwab card for 2 years and I like it very much.

CAN I, Do E-TRANSFERS ( INTERNET Trans. from My CREDIT UNION / BANK ) to My CS ACCT ???
The reimbursed atm fees are great!
Can the schwab send the debit card to overseas address if the checking account opened online?
How does it compare to a Fidelity Debit card?
Fidelity steals money from their customers.
@@JoeJokes-l8j I think all banks and financial institutions do it. What makes Fidelity worse than other ones?
How can you put/transfer money into the Charles Schwab debit card if you can’t physically deposit cash then?
You have a second bank account that has ATMs/branches then you transfer the money to the Charles Schwab account
you transfer from another bank account. This charles debit card ties with a brokerage account which you use to invest and trade so you can only use ACH transfer
Thank you for the info.

How much is the wire transfer Fee internationally? And is it better to do that in USD or local currency?
available in Europe too?
so how to fund CS checking | debit if you cannot deposit your cash into the account?
External Transfer from your other bank
My Ally card refunds atm fees up to USD 10 per month.
Where is this card available from or which bank. Is it prepaid card
Charles Schwab
So in order to deposit cash I would another bank a make zelle transfer?
Yes, at least that’s what I do
Fidelity debit cards also great

yea
Serious question
How is it being tracked?

Annual fees ? Or other fee’s we have to worry about?
No fees, as I said in the video, you cannot deposit cash (but you can take out cash). That’s the main drawback.
I have direct deposit at work, and you can mail or take pictures of checks on app.
I have it and like it a lot!
Jazzy: If you have cash to deposit into this Schwab debit account, convert it into a Money Order first, which can be done for less than $1 dollar at any Walmart store, and then deposit the Money order into any ATM.
No need to have another debit account card like you described in your video.
Why would I want to pay $1 for each deposit?
Never understood why casinos charge money to take out. Seems like casino would give $5 bonus for taking out cash there
It's because of their customers aren't worried about the ATM fees. The people who worry about ATM fees don't gamble away their money.
So let's say I want to withdraw $50 and the ATM fee is $3, do I need to have $53 in the account since the fee is only reimbursed and not waived?
yes
Sounds like this will be great to have along side a credit union account (no cash minimum to keep open too).

Zelle can be used to transfer money fast and easy
Ours just arrived in the mail today!
I just made my first deposit and waiting on my debit card. One thing I like with the app is now it has a lock/unlock feature to help prevent fraud.
where do I go to start with the brokerage account? Great video by the way!
Go to the website and open investor checking.
Can foreigners apply for this card?
Yes! Schawb welcomes foreigners
Getting one right now 😂
Is it good for students?
Absolutely! Schawb is the best imo

I have a Charles Schwab brokerage account, but find the debit card to bland and limited. I think the Cashapp card is better if it’s used properly.
It is precisely why I have Schwab account for the debit card for foreign travel. This card does eliminate all the fees that occur when withdrawing cash out of ATMs. Be aware to use only certified ATM machines that carry the VISA logo.
