Hello, I travel to South America very often. And I was curious by chance, does this BANK offer a two day Earley direct deposit?, Or Earley direct deposit of any kind of benefits you received like disability tax returns anything in that sort? If anyone else can answer that I’ll be great as well.
I just got back from the Philippines where I used the card a few times at local Philippine ATMs. Not only did I get reimbursed for the ATM fees but I also got an very good exchange rate. I highly recommend this card.
This Debit Card is incredible for traveling. I‘ve used it in Japan, Singapore, Indonesia and Mexico with no issues. It’s just really important to have the ATM charge the card in the local currency! Just like you should choose with a credit card. I always got refunded for the extra costs no matter how sketchy the ATM was.

I have used the card for multiple withdraws abroad and get the fees reimbursed at the end of the month. Be mindful to deposit or transfer money into the CS checking account at least 4 days in advance of the planned withdrawal. You may not have access to withdraw all the money right away. It's easier than it sounds tbh.
10 years ago, I went on a 12 week trip and took money out from ATMs at South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, UK, Russia, Mongolia and China using my Charles Schwab Debit card.
As of 1/17/2024 yields could change but the money market SWVXX 7-day yield is 5.23%. That's better than most savings accounts and CDs, and more liquid.
The Charles Schwab Debit Card was one of the best deals I ever made. I live out of the country and use it as an emergency medical account to pay for any medical needs or emergencies I or my family may need. I rarely use it to withdraw cash, but it's great - no fees. I highly recommend, but I have heard that Charles Schwab is planning to divest itself from its personal banking operations, and focusing on the brokerage side of the house. That means it is possible they may drop the Debit cards in the future. I really hope I am wrong, but that is Schwab's plans. Maybe they will only stop accepting new checking accounts.
I've had a Schwab account for 8 yrs. I like it...I really like that debit card...but...Fidelity is now offering the same DC deal plus has some high interest checking options that Schwab lacks.
Have you experimented with the Wise card? I don't believe they refund ATM fees, but they have very low fees to send money, use the card as a debit card, and you can also hold converted currencies in your account as that currency (and you can buy/sell them when you want, not just when you are in that country). They even pay decent interest in several currencies if you opt-in to get it.

Oh for sure I’ve definitely slowed down as I’ve gotten more use to creating content. However that is not an ai voice; that is my voice. Thanks for watching David!!
Think I may get one of these. I read on the website they also have a card lock feature and text alerts for possible fraud. My only question is do you have to call them to let them know when you travel so that the card doesn’t get shut down?
I say why not, I don’t see any downsides. Ummm good question, when I visited Canada I didn’t warn them and it worked fine. Prbly best practice to call, but I don’t think it’s necessary
Great video. I have a Schwab checking along with my brokerage account, but have never use the ATM feature. Your video makes me feel a lot more confident if I ever need it.
Oooo like in the video, it's the best. Loved it for walkable cities, because you don't exactly want to spend the time and energy to walk to your banks' atm; would rather use the closest one available to you. I've used this feature a bunch when I was living in Washington, D.C. Thanks Ahnon!
This card so interesting😁
But I still pretty confused whether this card has zero FX fees or not when using overseas🤔
Oh sorry, yes there are no FX if you use this card to pay; however, it is a debit card
No foreign transaction fees and all atm fees refunded, everywhere worldwide. (Well except for Cuba or any place US won't let you use it)
Char shab
This was clutch at the Christmas markets in Paris. Everywhere else accepted cards but I needed euros for the market. No fees.
Right! Gotta be the most useful travel card. Always keep it on me when I travel, just in case
Lol who with drawls only $10? Also schwab is on their way out. They are loosing deposits and customers. Also every big bank offers these features for people who can afford to travel internationally.
Will Schwab file for bankruptcy also?
Schwab isn't going anywhere lol, it's the #1 card for anybody that travels abroad. and no there's not a single bank that refunds all atm fees worlwide and no transaction fees. show me one. They all have a "monthly limit" on refunds or have a foreign transaction fee (like fidelity)
Chorl shwor ? computer voices do my head in... Pay a human !
Capital one checking is way better
Is cash deducted from your brokerage account? Did the brokerage account sell stocks to make cash available in your account? Do you know if there is an option to select for what account the cash comes from?
I haven’t used an atm in years but I’m from Alaska(no longer living there) and bank with a branch only in Alaska, Washington state and maybe Oregon and the fees are crazy if I use it anywhere else, but I’m going to Europe for a month so I’ll definitely look into this card
Oh wow, I've never looked into the banks in Alaska! Now I'm kind of interested, is it the same as the other states?
Oh for sure, I think the Schwab debit card would be useful for your trip; just remember not to use the gray tourist ATMs and try to get the cash within the branch in case of robbers and pickpocketers. I heard it's a big problem there.
In Britain CHECKING IS CHEQUING.
Is that a PROBLEM?
Don’t display your IGNORANCE.
I figured, but it was a joke.
Yes, it's a problem, ya guys spell it wrong.
Canada is like US. Don't know the whole point. I was expecting a third world country. 😅
Ha! Yep, really similar. More tap to pay options more available; compared to the US though. I found that interesting.
Ya should try venturing out of the basement every once in a while.
Lol, I haven’t seen that spelling for “checking” in a long time 😂
First time for me, haha
@@CalbyNgonly the US uses check. In the rest of the world it's a cheque. The finance minister in England's official title is Chancellor of the Exchequer.
Cheque is the correct term. Only the US uses check. To the rest of the world, this ✔ is a check.
This is a widely known card and nothing new..... This video wasn't needed. There's no catches it's legit. All atm fees are refunded every month, period.
withdraw $10? That is stupid on every level. I knew a guy who would withdraw $10-20 a day and incur a fee every time. Total dimstick.
Huh? That’s the beauty of the Charles Schwab debit card; they reimburse you the ATM fees you occur using a non-network ATM. I show the reimbursement at the end of the video.
You don't pay the fee. so it doesnt matter. ah the freedom
Fidelity reimburses on the same day, so I say It's better than Schwab.
Ohhhh didn't know; might have to switch things up!
