I have all the accounts you mentioned. My most recommended is the Capital One for the ability to deposit cash and it has not foreign transaction fees and great ATM coverage with all point and money pass. I use the use the Schwab for travel but now I use Betterment. They have free ATM worldwide and reimburse your ATM fees faster also have a much better interest rate for a saving account than Schwab. So if you only want one I’d use Betterment is you travel abroad and Capital One if you deal with cash sometimes.

I’m pretty new to a lot of the credit card/ debit card, is the chase not a good debit card? I’ve had a chase debit card for years and I just recently put about 10k into a savings account with American Express with the high yield savings. I hope I’m doing this stuff right because it’s so hard to keep up with everything and they change so much.

I think this is a great replacement card for chase ink, which has annual fee.

Your options for SOFI high yield are to rather set up direct deposit with no minimum amount OR deposit at least $5000 into your account each month

I’ve had Charles Schwab for as long as I can remember and I travel a lot. No ATM fees, no foreign transaction fees and probably the best customer service you will ever encounter. They are a 10 out of 10 for me.

Why not just use VUSXX instead of wasting time with ladders?

I have a Discover debit card, my experience with this card is that they do not accept it as a debit card, to make online payments at some banking institutions.

I have had this debit card for over 5 years. I travel for work and the exchange rate seems quite good and amongst the best around as she said. I have been pleased over all. At the end of the month they do reimburse the ATM fees, even abroad. Over all I share her enthusiasm for this debit card, Its the only one I use. When I was mugged in Mexico recently they got the replacement debit card to me very fast and the customer service was , as always, excellent. I do recommend this debit card , agreeing with all the points she makes. Enjoy ! RM

The best way to deposit cash is the Capital One 360 checking. You can deposit cash at Allpoint atms, and any CVS or Walgreens.

Meadows bank in Las Vegas doesn't have foreign fees either but it's not unlimited like Schwab debit card. I think there's a limit of 3 per month. Still better than any large banks

How can you put/transfer money into the Charles Schwab debit card if you can’t physically deposit cash then?

They ask you to take a photo of your passport, is that part of the process? Do they send you the debit card? This is for discover bank

ah thank you for this! I was looking for a video that compared these two not many out there! This was what I've been debating to product change the preferred and get the ink pref instead since some of the things you mentioned I'm on the same boat as you. Plus I already have the Venture X and SavorOne that pretty much covers majority of it.

Marriot is a much better keeper card since it is much easier to book reward stays. They have much more availability and you can top up your reward stay with your points in order to book your stay. Hyatt used to be my favorite but within the last year or so, I have found it nearly impossible to book reward stays. Hyatt never has any availability, it doesn’t matter if it’s off peak and 6 months out. Hyatt is still a great transfer partner for chase but their free night rewards are worthless at the moment. I am even finding it hard to book stays with points.

If capital one wasn’t on the list then I would know everything you was saying is not reliable info

Charles Schwab is just a gem. If only they accept Cash deposits. It would be considered Godly in my book.

BILT clearly states in their terms you cannot use it for mortgage payments.

I used Southwest for a bonus sign up points for a solo trip to Aruba. I thought it was a good value for the money. I still have points left over to go again. However, once my points are exhausted, I will probably begin looking for other options.

If you have Zelle, you can use it to deposit to yourself in your Schwab checking account. Schwab centers will also take a check written to yourself for a deposit.

Opening an account was the last exercise before leaving the country after I received the card in the mail. Nice to get reimbursed all the ATM fees.
