He was a very nice person. I came out of my house to go to work one morning and a neighbor had fallen asleep in my bushes. He and his girlfriend lived down the street but he claims he got drunk and passed out. He was also barefoot. His girlfriend said she hadn't washed her hair in 2 weeks. Their house had no electricity & they must have been behind on their bills. My husband was a manager at a major truck stop. He came home and told me one 19 year old man was applying for work. One of the questions asked why you left your former job and he had written on the application that it was because he had no shoes. We were living in a rural area outside of Jax. There was a gator sunning himself on the next street & the Wildlife crew had to come and retrieve him. Homeless people were everywhere. The rural locals looked like the movie Deliverance. I was raised in Florida since I was 2. Every state has cities and towns that are struggling and are very poor. It’s the USA people... But Florida still has very beautiful parts and growth!! Visit first and leave your opinion from that... but the video was interesting 🧐
Exactly! I live in Utah, have lived in Vegas as well. There are bad areas in every town and city I have been to. I have a villa in sebring, and it's a retirement/hospitality based city. You have high, medium, and low class subdivisions there, just like every other place in America.
I agree. I live in Daytona Beach and I am surprised it didn't make this list with all the druggies/junkies and all, but there are drugs everywhere and in every city. Daytona may be a party town, but there are some beautiful and good places to it. Basically the racetrack and driving on the beach attract people to Daytona.
I hate to call your friend a liar but there is def no "klan marching" in brooksville. I'm Hispanic and have been living here since 2005 and I've never dealt with any racism or seen any klan activity. It's also a highly African American populated area.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS the only semblance of any news regarding that I can find happened in 1922. If something like that happened, I would of either seen it or heard about cause it would of been big being that there's small towns around.

I agree. I do live Daytona Beach. Daytona does have alot of drugs and downs, but it does have some positive things. Drugs are everywhere in this world. It is the person that has to be strong. If you really want to get high, you will find it somewhere and somehow.
The Democrats have convinced Minorities that Government should provide for them. The poorist people, areas have been victimized by the Democrats. Most of these towns are in wonderful Agriculture dominated areas that have attracted illegal cheap laborers over the past 60 year's.

I'm a Florida native and disagree w some of your places. I've lived in Brooksville , Hudson and some others. I'm Hispanic and had wonderful experiences there. Every city has it's bad areas , bad people and poverty. A lot of our problems come from people who move here ,not with natives. If you want to move anywhere just do your research and don't rely on one person's opinion. Stay away from trouble.
@Michelle Tag Actually, at 62 years old that hasn't happened yet . The only harrassment I've gotten is from upper class neighborhood kids . I work in a bad area of town and have never had problems. Thank you for your concern and input.👍
That's the thing there shouldn't be a problem if you're not a native it's a free country that's the problem don't you understand what he's saying I live in Black mountain Anna I'm not a native I'm originally from California
Brooksville is absolutely beautiful and amazing. My parents have a home there they come to in the winter time. Right on the canal that leads out to the ocean the towns are beautiful the hills
This whole review is ridiculous Brooksville is great They have great little eating spots The terrain is slightly rolling and on the lime rock cap so less prone to flooding And I cant figure out if he is saying that property is affordable or is not affordable He's all over the place with his comments
There are not any canals in Brooksville that lead to the ocean which is really the gulf of Mexico. Brooksville is about 30 miles inland from the gulf. You are sadly no staking Brooksville for Spring Hill . From a resident of Brooksville
Charlse Finnley Hi😊 Mr.Charles, you are incorrect about the homicide rate in Tallahassee Florida. 3-4....a year? Try - “22” in Leon County ,and “17” in Tallahassee last year. Already counting, and it’s not even a month into 2020😳🥺🙄🙏
Songbird Bella so sorry to hear that. RIP your son. Is coconut grove really getting bad? Because thats the second neighborhood im thinking about moving to in Miami.
That's because the more north you go, the closer you are to Alabama. The further south you go, you're closer to Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean. It makes sense if you've ever looked at a map.
I live in North Florida and love it - a lot of big oak trees and hanging moss- north Florida also has a lot of clear springs and rivers- I think you could just say we are south Georgia
You know why cause yanks bought south fl then cubans bought some of them out later there are still southerners scattered out down there but most of us are in north fl
Thank you for your video!! I went to Harlem Florida 23 years ago & the smell from the sugar plant was horrible!!! It smelled like corn & poop!! I couldn't take it!! I hope it's improved since then!! Great video!!

Keep your money., there's more to life then money,, you judge your life by money,, we judge ours by the person's Hart,.BAM !!
I will say there is some really good people in Florida even in the smaller places, that being said, there is some hateful people too. I'm also a native Floridian, and I have lived in some of the smaller places in Florida as well as a couple of bigger cities too, and I have seen how people can be extremely racist, and I've also met some great people who were not racist at all. I will say though I remember in Mt. Dora back in the early 90's the KKK showed up in the middle of a parade to do a hate demonstration, I was so infuriated with that crap! Although I will say racism is not just by whites, I've seen it in all nationalities here. I want to make that clear, because ignorance comes in all colors, it's not a whites only thing. So many people hate each other. Everyone bitches about the secret ones in power, but what do we do, we still fight with each other over piddly sh** and let that distract us from the real corrupted ones.
Bless you and Eddie.. We need to celebrate the things that make us the same, and stop looking to point out the differences.. I miss when we were judged as one, instead of what we believe, or whom.
@@Simply.Homicide Arcadia? Really? There is a vast difference between the rich and poor there for sure. Doesn't seem to be a middle class anymore. But I do like the small-town feel. Would give anything for a Home Depot. Stuck with Ace Hardware high prices. lol
@@patrickglennon6834 Miami Beach isn't anything close to "Hell" if you've got money. Miami Beach is packed full of expensive high rise condos that can be extremely nice, but they are very expensive (remember Miami was the cocaine capital of the U.S. for decades). But the city of Miami (not Miami Beach) on the other side of the bridge has some really, really, bad areas. Miami is a very diverse city and segregated into different communities based on race. The entire state of Florida is separated by the very rich and the very poor. There is almost no middle class (or it appears that way).
I'm from Brooksville and I can tell u beyond any shadow of a doubt that racism is not a huge driving factor in the city and the reason why u notice such a separation of the races is due to the fact that most white people in Brooksville either inherited large portions of land or bought and farm the land.
I moved to SWFL over a year ago. For the most part, I love the people and the state. So much to do and easy to drive to different cities. The main issue I see in Florida is the amount of drug users. It's very sad to see so many broken people in such a beautiful state. Also, Florida residents could benefit so much from baiting in tech companies, etc.. There is not a lot high paying jobs in this state.

I live in Wisconsin for awhile and you want to talk about racism. I felt like I was back in the early 70tys. I am not by far racist. A true Floridian, is always friendly and willing to help someone. You can tell if someone is from Florida or a transplant from somewhere else. Please dont let this video think everyone is like that. May you have a Blessed day.
I just moved from Ft Myers, I lived there for 15 yrs. You are so correct in saying there are a lot of rude people there. I was fortunate enough to live in the Gateway area and it was a nice neighborhood. Now I'm in South Tampa. I grew up here and a lot has changed. Left here in 1996, lived in Clermont Fl for 8 yrs left there and that's how I ended up in Ft Myers. What do you know about Clermont just out of curiosity?
to be honest, no offence intended... too many car dealerships! LOL - than all the homeless along 50.. what a SAD road. 50 gets really nice heading towards brooksville. I’m a Hispanic and I live in Brooksville/Spring Hill and I can assure you it’s not racist or segregated lol idk where you got that from? I’ve lived here basically my whole life and have never had a race issue. It’s a pretty nice and peaceful area for the most part.
From my experience Spring Hill has a bunch of low life trashy people, when meeting people my race always seemed to be brought up first before how are you doing. Fuck that place.

From Arcadia, you're not wrong! We do have Port Charlotte south of us which is closer than Sarasota as far as shopping and jobs but it's still a 30 minute drive. But your right about everything else! The mining is a real issue along with the gang activity! I'll leave it at that!
I moved from the north suburbs of Chicago to Jacksonville in late 2015... when I first got here I hated it. Most people were very rude and there was still alot of racial divide... but I will admit that I am starting to like it here. There's been an exponential amount of growth and you can see it in the housing market. Jacksonville is great if you're into having investment properties. This city has SO MUCH potential. That's why I'm staying... and it seems as if the racism and prejudice has died down quite a bit.

I was sent to America by a European country (exchange teacher) in Florida actually. I rented a car from the airport but I got lost trying to go to Pompano beach. I found myself and my daughter in a ghetto and we were the only 2 white females in a nasty mini market. A "black angel" (sent by God) approached and whispered in my ear that that was a really dangerous place. He offered to lead us to Pompano beach where he first stopped at the Fire station to assure us about his good intentions. The guard agreed that indeed we were in a bad area but now we were safe! I had in my suitcase a bottle of fine cognac and I offered it to this so kind black man who rescued us.
You have high, medium, and low class subdivisions there, just like every other place in America.
its always the areas that vote blue just look at Chicago
I agree. I live in Daytona Beach and I am surprised it didn't make this list with all the druggies/junkies and all, but there are drugs everywhere and in every city. Daytona may be a party town, but there are some beautiful and good places to it. Basically the racetrack and driving on the beach attract people to Daytona.

They have great little eating spots
The terrain is slightly rolling and on the lime rock cap so less prone to flooding

I also am a native Floridian and totally agree with you.... especially about the racism...all colors are racist...not just whites
Bless you and Eddie.. We need to celebrate the things that make us the same, and stop looking to point out the differences.. I miss when we were judged as one, instead of what we believe, or whom.
They often overlook the hate between colored people. It is a silent weapon.

I moved from the north suburbs of Chicago to Jacksonville in late 2015... when I first got here I hated it.
