Probably my favorite scene of the entire anime, or at least top 3. I love the music in this scene too, its called "Kizuna" ("Bonds" in english) from the Nisemonogatari OST. His character was really cornered for this scene, it was put up or shut up. It feels like the story shifted and suddenly we look critically at Kaiki and his strategy and openly wonder if this is really going to work. Hankawa didn't think so, nor did Gaen. Gotta be quite something if those two agree. But he doesn't waver, he did start getting a little irritated by Ononoki - which itself was an interesting thing to see as he's normally not at all vulnerable. The very best moment is when Ononoki mentions that when he acts out of character, despite normally thought to succeed, he fails. He has been. Kaiki's expression facing that criticism stoically, he pushes right on through. Reaffirming that Senjo is not going to collapse, because he's here. He's going to lie to Sengoku Nadeko. And what a performance we got. Kaiki is my fav character, love it that we got him as a narrator for an entire arc.
I could listen to ononoki talk all day

This is the most potent scene of Koimonogatari for me, even more than the final Nadeko scene
I sort of agree, It's a spectacular build up to the final scene and denotation to his character.
