I’m a bit surprised the writers didn’t stretch out the mystery of who started the fire longer than they did. Big events like those in soaps usually get dragged out and end in some big reveal, but not this time.
@cakes3958 spot on a lot of the permanent characters had no choice but to leave because of outlandish storylines which start around now and culminate around 2000 when brookie became a joke
