@cakes3958 spot on a lot of the permanent characters had no choice but to leave because of outlandish storylines which start around now and culminate around 2000 when brookie became a joke

I’m a bit surprised the writers didn’t stretch out the mystery of who started the fire longer than they did. Big events like those in soaps usually get dragged out and end in some big reveal, but not this time.
@@misternobodywhatsoever4752 these days, Jimmy would have gone to prison for a few weeks where we’d see him being bullied until the truth finally came out
Jimmy may have done bad things, made mistakes and been a silly fool sometimes, but sometimes he could be *so* considerate, like when he gave Jackie Little Jimmy's diary - he was thinking of *her* feelings and remembering that Little Jimmy was *her* son too, regardless of her fling with Ron.
@@brucelee2011 The smugness and arrogance really got going when she wanted to buy No 9. She became ultra-smug when Bar Brookie opened and she fancied herself as a Scouse Ally McBeal.
You’d think in the circumstances she’d be more understanding, but the whinging is starting to get old. Not forgetting the fact that it’s Bing’s house and she’s a tenant.
And I’ll second that. How is it some TH-camrs and their channel have hundreds, or even thousands of subscribers with their utter drivel they upload, and here’s Valley Rhondda Boi, a proper legend not getting the same numbers when he uploads quality like this. Near enough 3 hours Brookside! I absolutely love it. Thank so much for all these episodes.
Eh, aye aye!
Bev the firestarter 🔥😂
She nearly killed Jackie Corkhill
1:52:54 “he’s my brother” 😱😂😱😂
Quick doctor get on the phone and dob em in
As maxie lad said “IT’S INCESSSSSST!!!!”
This is the third time Maxxy has made a You’ve Been Framed or Jeremy Beadle reference this year! He’s obsessed with that show
As Maxie would say: “...what the HELL!”
@@spartybrearly7221WHAT IN GOD’S NAME ARE YOU DOING?
"You have GOT to be JOKING!"
Elaine and her family are settling in as regular characters.
They’re pretty dim to think Jimmy would do that to his own wife, daughter and granddaughter.

Yep
Exactly, and Ron Dixon didn't help matters by jumping to conclusions

@@misternobodywhatsoever4752 I’m glad they didn’t! It’s what made Brookie special
@@cakes3958 I agree with you. It actually makes a nice change in my opinion not seeing it play out over weeks or months.

Mick Johno makes his own cheesecakes when? Where? In between serving in the shop or taking the kids to school!
Hmm.1st thing in the morning me thinks hehe
Actually yes. There’s been several scenes where he is making it in the pizza place during the day
He's a trained chef
Bev is the actual culprit for the house fire at Number 8.
She could have killed Jackie Corkhill
Jacqui moaning about putting her own family up in the bungalow after the fire 😂 and she's only renting herself and not even the landlady ..what a cow
She’s become very smug and arrogant.
@@spartybrearly7221 she always was , not one of my favourite characters

Eh, aye aye Jimmy, throwing good scran against the cell wall.
Upset his Jackie didn’t make it kid
Jimmy does have form for using arson for revenge. It wasn’t that long ago that he firebombed Lesley Donnelly’s place over all that bootlegged lager.
That was brilliant tbf 😂
@@Lee81ukIt was! Jimmy went into total headtheball mode.

The new Leo has arrived 😢
He’s not a patch on the old one
Another example of Brookie mentioning another soap this time Crossroads.
Ollie’s “queens speech”
Let’s be honest, it was more interesting than the normal queens speech
Channel 4 missed a trick there!
Could have become a national (and Commonwealth) fixture for the ald wotist...Crimbo lunch...with that smug geht giving the festive speech.
Wow, thank you for reopening your account!

Jimmy “I need my smack!” Corkhill
Didn't they own a smoke detector?
How quick that fire went up? petrol and a match? don't think it would of made much difference
Not a lot of people did back then
Would have. Would of!!!! Hahahahahahaha
It's bev who set the fire and not jim
