@@MichaelHoare-vr7mo Watching the re-runs isnt really putting it back on its just a repeat as we are watching here. What we need is a new Brookside coming back hopefully with the same writers but I guess thats not possible they moved on to better things.

Ron with his present of gift-wrapped chocolates in the bread box. He certainly knows how to woo a woman. I don’t know how he’s going to top that. Perfume in the laundry basket or a new dress in the cupboard where they keep the hoover.
Yer spot on there kid! Sin shouldn’t be comin’ the ald wotsit...innocent...with Bel and Ollie like. Not only did he help bury the body under the patio, there was concealing evidence of the murder, helped Mandy, Beth and Rachael do one, lied to the bizzies and there was wasting bizzie time. The no mark!
This is where the incest storyline really derailed and became redundant. We shouldn’t have had to endure watching them set up house, it’s just so unrealistic. Once everybody found out, they should have just moved away.
I agree with you up to a point, they did drag the incest storyline out for as long as they could,in fact I think it went on longer than The Religious Cult storyline.
I’m with you. If they were insisting on being together, a few episodes before The Ming walked in on them, they should’ve bailed. Away from the Close and the city. But no. And I’ve lost all interest in the story around that point so the two of them are boring now.
Like a combination of Ethel and Dot from Eastenders. Ethel would say proverbs and phrases wrong and it was funny. Dot was very nosey, a busy body and a gossip,
I think Brookside began to lose direction around 97-98. La Luz became a glorified cafe with bright colours, Jacqui Dixon a smug Ally McBeal wannabe and most of the Close working in the petrol station.
@@spartybrearly7221 yeah I remember around that time people seemed to not talk about Brookside as much. I think Channel 4 prime time was also beginning to change especially around 2000 and Brookside by then no longer fitted the mix
i personally couldn't stand the Simpsons especially belle or the next family the Murray's went downhill from there I thought , was in its prime in 93/95 for me
@@brucelee2011 one of the storylines towards the end of Brookside’s run that I thought was somewhat descent was the storyline concerning Anthony Murray’s bullying by Imelda Cloth. Speaking of which Anthony’s actor is now a carpet fitter and his first job was fitting carpets at the Brookside houses when they were renovated recently and Imelda is now a DJ
fantastic acting from jimmy RIP, particularly in these episodes, riveting stuff
I just wish Brookside was still on TV it's just brilliant
You can catch reruns of Brookside on STV player.

William Maxwell as Jack Sullivan is very good, although he's an intermittent character he's a lovely, well rounded character.
If you thought Elaine was irritating, here’s her sister.
Jackie and Jimmy made brookie
They sure did!! Jimmy is Mr brookside. Rip Dean 🙏🏻
Jackie was good. Jimmy's actor wasn't great.
His brother Billy was played by a good actor.
It was a sad period in Brookside with little Jimmy's death.

Nat winning a romantic meal for 2 at gramts with the ticket number "69" 😂😂
What happened to the other Leo
The acting from this Leo is atrocious.
Sin:”everyone will think you’re a rustler!...hahahahaha hahaha”

It was all so … ‘analogue’ back then wasn’t it 😂 I miss the simplicity of it all tbh
They do have penguins in the Wild West of Desolation Island Ron.
Bing helped Terry out when he was still under Simon’s mind control. Now Te’s throwing him out. That’s gratitude!
17:36 Mike Dixon defending Nat and Georgia.
Yeah… not a hill worth dying on Mike.
This is where i gave up on brookside the Simpson story line. Could still be on only for that id say
Nah, the shadwicks then the musgroves sealed the fate of brookie
@@paulbennett1860oh for sure ..the musgroves were a terrible family and wasn't keen on the Murray's either thats when I stopped watching so much

Bloody sinbad acting all holier than thou with “da simmos”

@cakes3958 100% right ridiculous it’s like Nat and Georgia part 2 nobody wants this bar Mal Young and Paul Marquess
Who cares it was funny 😂
Or better still have had the close give them both the Michaelson treatment
