HOW THE CLAY FIGHT WILL GO Clay leads Krokorok and Helios leads Emboar. Emboar outspeeds and hits Krokorok with Arm Thrust twice for a virtually guaranteed KO. Seeing Muddy Water as his highest damaging move, Clay sends in Palpitoad next. Emboar is faster, but this time Arm Thrust doesn't get enough hits to KO, and Emboar takes 25%-55% damage depending on whether Palpitoad gets a second attack off due to a Bulldoze speed drop. Finally, Excadrill. If Helios is low HP, he'll realize in horror that Excadrill does just about 50% in one Bulldoze and can kill him with a simple high roll. Emboar can kill Excadrill with Heat Crash, which is indeed super effective. What'll it be? Can you bank on Emboar being naturally faster (it may or may not be), and sac something to get rid of the drop? Will Clay throw and go for Hone Claws while you're at full health, opening himself up to attack and giving you the win, barring a crit? Will you be going into this with no speed drops? Personally, I'm rooting for Clay, for your sake. With -so few Pokémon- just Emboar again, you're forced to overlevel in order to survive, which becomes kind of boring. You can beat any Pokémon game with just about any Pokémon if you grind enough levels. So, it's not strategically interesting anymore, and the grinding itself is, of course, going to be a grind. Clay is an honorable point to put your run to rest.

Clay is gonna destroy you
Excadrill is Ground/Steel and weak to Fire. Drilbur is pure Ground type.
