- Today DT is doing DC! We're taking a look at what is, in my opinion, the best Superman statue ever made - Museum Masterline Batman Hush Superman by Prime 1 Studio. This 1/3 scale Superman statue came in two variations, a sculpt cape version and a fabric cape version. I am not a fan of fabric mixed media statues. And 99% of the time, if given the choice, will go with the sculpted option.

Prime 1 Studio is proud to present the 1:3 scale MMDCBH-02S: Superman Sculpt Cape edition from Batman: Hush. Batman: Hush is a 2002-2003 comic book story arc published in the Batman monthly series. The statue is based on the scene where Batman and Catwoman retreat to the underwater system of Metropolis to escape from Superman, who is mind-controlled by Poison Ivy. Although he is under Poison Ivy’s control, there is still a part of Superman’s true intellect that keeps him from using his full strength against the Dark Knight. Superman statue sculpt cape edition measures almost 42 inches tall and can be displayed facing front and back of the base.

That's the perfect decision for a first DC Statue. Superman is the best hero of all time in my books. Grats on that particular piece though. Surprised you were able to score it. I didn't see it in person but it looks amazing. It has presence without trying too hard and that's exactly what I'd want in a Superman Statue. I definitely prefer sculpted > fabric any day of the week. Sculpted is easier to clean and looks more organic with the statue. I'm getting the Knightfall Batman from Prime 1 soon. Really wish they made a sculpted cape version of it. I also strongly prefer the Yellow S on the back of the cape. I was born in 79 so I also grew up with Reeve as Superman. As for Superman being 'too powerful' I just call it a lazy excuse from the writers. All-Star Superman was the best Superman story in my opinion. Hulk, Thor, and Silver Surfer only got more powerful over time but writers mostly don't complain about them.
